Seems it's still bugged, I've been trying to finish this and I can't open the large chest at the end no matter what I try.
-
I love achievements. Mini's, new titles, mastery points - I just got my 15k chest. Some I try just to see if I can do it. But there are also quite a few I'll never bother with; dungeons, raids, strike missions, because I'm incredibly bad at this game. By that I mean I just play how I like, not bothering with meta builds, dps etc., that seems to be a requirement that some people want you to have for those things. I'd like to try them but I don't want people getting upset if things go wrong, so they go untried.
As for the rewards, it would be nice if there was more variety, as you suggested. I might even be more inclined to try things I'd normally avoid if they had a reward I really wanted.

I'm absolute garbage playing against other people, it also gives me anxiety. I did play it for a bit with a friend since I want the glorious armor chest piece, but he hasn't been on in a long while so I stopped. I'd prefer not to have someone get mad at me for not knowing what I'm doing or fell the need to gloat when they wipe me out almost instantly.

It is absurd. There are some things in the game I will never be able to do, there are things others will not be able to. There could be any number of reasons why someone cannot accomplish something; physical limitations, time constraints, etc, and even with trying over and over, I or they may still not complete it. To have someone automatically conclude that the reason is because they are not good or need to learn to play is dismissive and callous.

"Get good"
"L2P"

I'd like to have the title but I know it will never happen and I'm ok with that. There is something I'm confused about though, in the achievement panel it says: Complete a lap of the roller beetle race in Brisban Wildlands within the time limit. Reading that it tells me that if I get bronze I should get the achievement, or is this incorrect? Do you have to get gold to complete it? I was proud of my bronze finish.

Sorry, I guess I should have specified. I meant the Rolling Racer achievements. It gave me credit for the race in Mount Maelstrom and I know I only got bronze on that one, yet I didn't get credit for getting bronze in the Brisban race. Odd to say the least.

Would be nice if they specified that. Ah well, I'll try out the tracks to see what they're like and then find something else to do. Thank you.

Dual wield pistols.

Bloodstone-crazed shark...my white whale.

My main has map completion through to POF. The other two characters I play only need map completion in POF.
Not sure why I've done it on two more since I swore to myself I wouldn't. I do map completion when I'm bored...how's that for irony.

Craft Nevermore and get the only mount skin I want, Stardust Jackal. As for the rest I'd just give to others to get what they want.

If you didn't like the first instance you're not going to be happy further on in the story.
And I agree, took me ages of running around trying to find what I needed to in that Barney the dinosaur on crystal meth pukefest.
Less is more...and someone needs to re-read the definitions of challenging and annoying, they're actually very different. I want to feel challenged, not be going through a fight and mumbling to myself "when is this nonsense going to end so I can see again?"

Just a couple of examples of how these issues were dealt with up here. Would be nice if it could be the same for all of you in the States. Hopefully one of the no votes flips and this doesn't happen. But I have a feeling they'll keep at it until net neutrality is gone for you.

I would have paid through the nose for that starry jackal skin if it was sold individually. Now though? Blow it out your a*s Anet.

My friends had been playing for a while and suggested I try it out on a free weekend. I'm still here and they've all left the game.
-
That is impressive.
Happy Halloween to you!

I went to GW2 Efficiency and copy/pasted so I wouldn't have to figure out how to add a screenshot. =)

I started GW2 on the free weekend in August, 2012.
My main: Played for 3586 hours
All characters: You played a total of 4156 hours across all characters
Age: 1887 days
As for me: 434760 hours over 18115 days. :p

I had GW2 bought for me as a gift so that doesn't count. But I purchased HoT and PoF and I've made two gem purchases. My total would probably be lower if it wasn't for the exchange rate. (grumbles about Canada's monopoly money) Much as I'd like to contribute more to the game, I'm not in the financial position to do so. I do what I can with what I have and continue to have a lot of fun in game.

That's great to know. Thank you! :)

I'd like to know also. I will never be able to do the Clock Tower jump puzzle so I won't have the boots for my armor weight.
Character birthday calculations are wrong.

From the Wiki: Birthday distribution ignores the extra day in leap years; characters will receive a gift every 365 days. This means a character's birthday will "drift" backwards by one day every four years.
