  1. I had a dislike for him, not so much as the character he was representing but how bugged and useless he was in early game stories/events where he participated,

Mostly I remember him stuck at the start or soon after, busy speaking his monologues while my character was busy fighting mobs, escorting things etc. Then in the end when a section or chapter was done he would superspeed to the rest of us and get the glory for succeeding with the mission.

If he hadn't bugged out so much and been a functioning active part of the events I wouldn't have minded him getting the glory/?

    edit: spelling

I support this. Short timespan close combat survivability and In-Out ability (possibly in new "hammer-themed" shroud). Main effect being short range, epidemic style in your faces condi spreads and some short range AOE CC to help break up blobs.

  3. I remember reading an interview with a couple of Anet lore leads in a fan mag sometime around core GW2, When asked which race is the oldest Tyria they answer was Asura. I can't find the article anymore - anyone remember this and can point me in the right direction?

A couple of other tidbits from this article to help jog memories:

    - Asura would, if they could sort themselves out, - be the most dominating race in Tyria (accompanied by some description of crazy Asura tech example).

    - The only real threat to Asura domination in this scenario would be a great enough number of Skritt - one of the reasons why Asura feel so threatened (dislike?) by them.

So - Any1 remember this and can link to it?

  4. what caught my eye was "players haven’t yet seen in person" and assuming they included GW1 players, only one i could think of was E as we haven't seen him/her as "character" E in person. The other that popped into my head was whatever new God of War we got - but that is not a "character" imo??

  5. E?

"There’s a lot going on in this new hub, including the debut of an unexpected fun character that players haven’t yet seen in person. Seriously, everyone here is excited. I’ll be following the forums to read your reactions. :)"

  6. Scouting Keeps and Towers?

    Flipping and Defending Supply camps?

    Shadowing enemy Zergs?

    Walking or killing Dolyaks?

    Refreshing Siege?

    ~~Repairing walls and gates?~~

    Ninja-ing enemy Towers and Keeps?

~~Picking on the tails of enemy Zergs?~~

    Tapping Keeps to contest Waypoints?

    ~~Trolling?~~

    +1 a fight?

More diverse builds because MS traits/runes are now not mandatory?

Testing your skills against other Roamers who want to fight?

    ~~Stomping Zerglings who don't want to fight?~~

  7. Well some things we can guess/deduce I think.

As I see Aurene's vision - she bases it on herself directly confronting Kralk with varying combos of allies - and always end up dead/crystallized... so either she needs to "die" before she can take Kralks place, or we need someone else to directly confront Kralk and keep Aurene in some auxiliary role.

We also have Naja and the Crystal Attunement — Collect all the Branded crystal samples that Naja requires - talking to her after completion she says: "With this set of crystal samples, I'm all set to make music. So to speak. Comparative harmonies, vibrational profiles...". And since we know what Kralk's weakness is... …

Yup - I got it was in reply to my question :)

Not sure exactly how big the sea was, but K-rik by himself turned a lot of stuff into the brand/crystal - across several zones, seems pretty huge fallout, and that just by himself? (+Zhaitan lifting Orr and Mordy jungle corruption etc...)

Actually, thinking some more on this:

    - Joko was the star of his own show - at least in his own view

    - and we already had one of his memories played up for us in the "hidden" Joko statue

So maybe not through Aurene after all - , but through additional recorded Joko memories we need to chase down?

  12. Although I agree we as Commander messed up bad by acting on bad info, I don't see the Elder Dragons as necessary, only the function they provide is.

So the problem/question is rather, how do we replace/modify that function to secure Tyria?
