  1. This is what I read when reading the front page for thief;

    Thief

    Experts at ~~stealth and surprise~~ being nerfed, thieves ~~move~~ meander through the shadows, ~~vanish into thin air~~ map out, or steal unusable items from their opponents ~~and use them as weapons~~. Thieves practice ~~an agile, acrobatic~~ a nerfed fighting style, which makes them very ~~hard to hit~~ easy to kill. We can nerf the profession more if you find they are still too hard to easily kill.

    Initiative

    To power their attacks, thieves rely on a resource called initiative, which regenerates slowly over time. Weapon skills cost initiative points, but they have no recharge time, so thieves can use them ~~back-to-back~~ once due to ever increased initiative cost. This allows thieves to stay ~~flexible~~ close by and unresponsive in combat and to unleash ~~a rapid flurry of powerful attacks~~ an attack.

    Steal

    Thieves use the Steal skill to take weapons from their opponents. They can gather blinding feathers from moa birds or swipe broken bottles and rusty weapons from bandits and pirates but nothing of any use from players.

    Stealth Skills

    Thieves can enter stealth mode, which renders them ~~invisible to enemies~~ susceptible to player's reveal skills, target painter or target painter traps ~~and replaces their first weapon skill with a stealth attack skill~~. They use these skills to ~~stab foes in the back~~ reveal themselves, ~~get off~~ to receive a surprise shot, and more.

    Shadow Step

    With Shadow step, thieves can teleport ~~into~~ out of battle ~~for a surprise attack and then use Shadow Return to escape to their previous position~~ in hopes of surviving.

  2. ...Quick comment, these release notes are not complete and in particular thief has more changes that we weren’t able to get localized for this early posting...

    After a quick google translate

    You have the wrong class. It's heralds with sigils of leeching and hydromancy on equiped weapon, running strength runes with facet of darkness and strength on.

Deadeye will lose stealth but be allowed to keep all it's vulnerabilities, the lowest hp pool in med armour and not have any increase in the already abysmal healing. But hey there's a silver lining, the increase to the pistol/dagger build for which soooo many deadeyes are known for. I'm really not sure why i keep holding onto that sliver of hope that someone on the team that brought us the ground breaking news that an arrow travels farther, faster then any bullet, could see that deadeye is all about stealth and patience. If all anet is going to do is nerf the thief to oblivion, then why even put it into the game to begin with. I already know what's going to happen when I apply the "update", control panel, programs and features, guild wars 2, uninstall.

    > Oh cry us a river. What vulnerabilitys? You still have it easy compared to core/daredevil mainly because you are ""RANGED"". De is so simple to play.

    *face palm* In case you aren't aware of this fact, deadeye is a THIEF profession. Just because deadeye is ""RANGED"" doesn't mean they're immune to leaps, teleports, immobs, reveals, channeled skills nor ranged weapons. Here's another tip for you, don't stand in the red circles.

  5. So let's see if I get this right. Deadeye will lose stealth but be allowed to keep all it's vulnerabilities, the lowest hp pool in med armour and not have any increase in the already abysmal healing.
