iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) with 1TB SSD and Radeon Pro 580 8 GB, 4,2 GHz Intel Core i7......

I am running off APFS file system on the internal SSD and it is super fast. I am always the first one to load.

Since the small cursor on Retina displays is intended, I found a nice workaround. Select Guild Wars 2 64-bit.app and hit CMD+I. Set "Open in Low Resolution". Now I can play as always since no mac on earth could handle retina resolutions.
-
I have a new bug, that has not been discussed yet:
My cursor is still to small since i play on retina, but have UI-scaling off. I tried to workaround by increasing cursor size in System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Display -> Cursor Size. The ingame cursor is indeed bigger, but now while i move the cursor, the fps rate drops to about a half. (Feels like the map pan issue.)
Then I discovered, that the larger cursor moves with a small delay on macOS while GW2 is started. I think that it is an error in macOS's cursor handling...

Hello,
I still have an issue with the cursor being to small, because I play on an retina display, but want to keep UI scaling disabled, since playing in lower resolution is just fine.
I also don't think there is any mac, that could handle a resolution where ui-scaling would be necessary.
I want the cursor scaling to be bound to the system scale, not the ingame option.
Anyone else has this issue?!

So I now have a serious crash, which prevents one of my characters to load into map completlty. It first crashed after entering one location in Domain of Vabbi and since then it crashes on character load every time. https://imgur.com/a/YHbsU
*--> Crash <--*
Assertion: target

For me, everything works, but the cursor is only half sized. I get the normal size back by enableling dpi scaling, but thats not what i want.
Physical Resolution: 5120 x 2880
Logical Resolution of macOS: 2560 x 1440
Resolutioon set inside guildwars: 1920 x 1080. DPI scaling off.

This is a known issue, which I think is related to hovering or disapearing AOE fields. It basically fails to recalculate the outline of the terrain or something.

I just had
Assertion: !index || m_refArray[index]
File: ..\..\..\Services\IdMgr\IdMgr.h(88)

Hi, i just wanted to tell what is very great about the client.
1) Native fullscreen windows ("Spaces"). Makes using the rest of the macOS while playing very nice.
2) High resolution textures. Client handles high resolution textures very good.
3) Resolutions, that are factors of the native resolution. This makes even low resolutions make look sharp.
4) Runs good on lowest quality (which still looks great) on newest iMac 27".

I found a way to reproduce 100% of time. First rightclick, but do not move the mouse. Then hit space to make raptor leap and then try to rotate the camer => Right click gets lost.
Edit: I also got some serious stutter while moving the mount camera with left click fast left to right and right to left while releasing and pressing left click (hard to explain)
-
This has been confirmed by Anet on reddit, but they said it would take some longer to fix (I can't find the post anymore). It is indeed caused by lazy alignment of the layered effect.
-
I got that too, just wait a bit longer. I think this is related to some system hiccups https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/7453/game-issues-october-3-2017#latest

Install means to drag the Guild Wars 2 64-bit.app file into the Applications folder. Not just double click it.
-
You are definitely using the old, 32 bit client. It should be called "Guild Wars 2 64-bit.app". A launcher with macOS window controls (red and yellow buttons) means you opened the old 32 bit client.

I may have some information about the stuttery map pan issue. I discovered that I can reproduce this issue by setting "Reports per second" in my Logitech Mouse drive to 500. Lower values (250, 125) fixes the problem for me. https://imgur.com/a/Up0Bg

I have that too, while moving from a retina to non-retina displays. Moving from non-retina to retina: window becomes 1x5 pixels small. Moving from retina to non-retina: Window becomes very large: double the width of original retina display. The is the the dragging itself while holding on to the window title bar. Workaround is to move the window as fast as possible so it wouldn't resize that much.

Since today, the gem shop is unresponsive for me. Currency exchange and black lion are working.

Hello, i played daily and there is no keyboard bug since :). Is the client compatible with APFS and High Sierra?

> Exact same issue on my game as well, I'm trying to muscle through it, but I can't even repair the client... support says to go to terminal and enter `/Applications/Guild\ Wars\ 2\ 64-bit.app/Contents/MacOS/GuildWars2 -repair` to repair the client. Terminal returns "no such file or directory." So i open the package and lo and behold:
You are still using the old client. You should definitely download the new one, which uses the data files from the old client so you might not have to download the game again.
