    > We as a main character presume the worst thinking he is trying to convert us. But what if he is speaking the truth?

Soo it looks to me that we indeed are going to fight something worse, together..

    > Well, Anet wanted to make Guilds a thing. But then the "I want to play this a solo game. I want to play how i want. Why does an MMO force me to do things with other people?"-crowd cried and whined, so Anet fixed the issue by making guilds something you can engage with if you want to but actually don't need to.

    >

    > Also it turned out that guilds can't be monetized as good as other content, so I guess it's fair to say that guilds are abandoned content that we will probably never revisit.

Make 3 /4 more halls.. Make some exclusive decos... make guildhalls visitable by others and boom. Monetized content

    > I understand its just a boost to 80 but to me the oversight is the boost is something you pay for, the pvp arena not so much. If the boost gives a trial period to try the classes, and the free pvp lets you try elites, I think the trail on the level 80 boost should include trying elites

No the problem is not knowing what you use before you played the game. It is understandable that when you just started you dont know which of the classes is good or which one you like.

To be honest. If you like the base class without the elite specs. Why not play that? Its not that big of a deal. Certain activities, professions or situations still dont use elite specs because the core profession is still good.

Also. It is possible, that the new expansion in 2021 contains elite specs more of your liking.

    Which profession did you take?

She would be floated with magic she cant handle.. so that would be a disaster indeed..

    > No, this does not mean the end of the story. I'm not going to give you spoilers, but all of our Living World seasons have been building toward this. We've been working on this for a long time. In the meantime, we’re having lots of fun reading all your ideas about where the story is heading. Speculate away!

Whatever you come up with. I'm really glad you didn't forget about Kuunavang! :+1: I'm Excited!

    >

    > How is it a "prestige" reward though?

    > You can't see the item, the person could be either just have damaged boots or not be wearing boots at all. There's not so much "prestige" over that.

    > And yes I would want them IF they were cheaper. But i'm not going to get them at that price, and if it drops I will sell it.

    > So yeah I wouldn't mind them being cheaper, but it feels like it's a little to late for that. They made them a rare drop, so it would be unfair to owners of the item to completely remove the value from it though.

    >

That's my point.. you wouldn't want them, if they werent that rare.. there is nothing prestige about the item.. other then its extremely overprices because it drops 1 in a million. just like you say, broken armor pieces are the same..

  7. If all stuff.. strike missions. 5 new maps. New masteries. New mount skills. New skins. New achievements. 50 hour story. Cooking 500. The new lightpuzzles. New adventures. And whatever new stuff will come out. All was released at once. You guys would have said this was expansion level content. Put the content side by side and you will see only a few differences..

You all wanted stuff like HoT and PoF. Well.. I still think LS4 was twice as better as PoF. PoF story was rushed and short because it had to released too quick. Balthazar was quickly defeated no indepth story and there was no great rewards or something.. PoF and HoT and all LS are just the same. So for me for gw2 yes this is expansion level content.

Real Expansion level content like gw1. Thats what i miss. New professions. Twice the existing map. Different kind of story. Guild content. New races

You don't have to recruit them into your guild. They can join your party and then help you out.

    > Either ArenaNet is going to give me us a kind yet misunderstood therapy dragon that's autistic as heck, or they're going to just be another autistic villain trope. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of that trope. I'm also tired of the hurr hurr smash thing stories that Guild Wars 2 has told prior. I don't know that the community has enough toxic masculinity for that to be a good sell.

    >

    > What if the story was actually about confronting the abstract concept of suffering in Tyria (the torment) though? That'd be different. A cancerous force that's causing cycles of pain and death. _That_ would be a compelling story to me.

    >

    > (It's only fair that I admit my own biases as well. I have a vested interest in therapy and hypnotherapy, and I have a deep love for dragons. So seeing an autistic dragon who's interested in easing pain and suffering... That would be a very cathartic, meaningful experience for me. It's just as easy that Jormag could be an evil autist trope though who's just going to die at the end and I'll end up very depressed.)

Thank you for your answer, I like what you said in your post. One question: Why do you refer to Jormag as "They"?

I liked to be surprised. A straight forward vilain story isn't what I like to see. Just like you said. I'm convinced ANet will give a good twist or surprise to the story.

For some reason I can't shake the feeling Jormag is a good one. And honestly it scares me. Because what if (s)he is an hardcore bad one? What does it say about me?

    > @"Khandarus.2738" said:

    > Na don't care. The dragon is the reason Almora is dead so Jormag is getting suplexed through as many tables as it takes. Even if they are a "good guy". Mostly cause anet seems to kill every character I care about... Except traherne, ooh boy did that feel good.

Did Jormag kill her? No Bangar killed her.. > @"Eekasqueak.7850" said:

    > It might be a case that Jormag isn't a "good guy" but also doesn't want Tyria to end. There's a very real problem with magic destabilizing and destroying the planet. It's Jormag's home and they probably do want to preserve it- just for selfish reasons. Really the only dragon we've seen try to actively destabilize things is Kralkatorric who was driven to madness. Jormag seems more calculating and might be trying to turn this into more of an enemy mine situation or leveraging the fact that we can't kill them without making things worse.

Mordremoth did the same. He Destabilized the entire maguuma forest.

  10. Hiya Dheeraj,

First of all, Like Calamity said, what do you want to do with your guild?

A guild is a time consuming, expensive thing to build up.

Do you want a guild hall? Or only do the guild initiative headquarters?

A Guild hall offers you a lot of possibilities to unlock

the Headquarters only a fraction of it:

    * General Merchant

    * Repair Anvil

    * Guild Vault: Stash

Here is some kind of guide:

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_hall

Remember this: a full completed guild hall takes around a year to 2 years longer if you are on your own. there are some time gates. I think it took us around 2500 G (we bought a lot of materials) to complete it and another 2000 G to fill it with all these decorations to make it feel like our own.

    Good luck

  11. The thing is that ANet has always been very clear with what is going to happen.

With the killing of Aurene, many of us were surprised. But if you repeat the story there were hints all over the place.

I'm not saying my idea is the right one, but I wouldn't be surprised.

A good story needs a good plot twist, a hard one that you feel in the core of your body. Like they did in LS4. (well done)(apart from the instant resurrection)

  12. We asked. They delivered.. Now that they did, you want to change it back.

    It is never good hehe

    Joke aside.

Dragon's Stand, Dragonfall and drizzlewood coast are the only full-map meta's where you actually need to participate.. Other than those it doesnt really matter. People have been asking for a map like dragon's stand for ages. So they made dragonfall and now drizzelwood coast.

I can't believe I missed that. In my mind it was always a He.

    > > It feels to me less like Jormag spared the Commander because they didn't want to kill them and more because we have a greater part yet to play in their plans

    >

    > Not only that, but if Jormag truly wants to manipulate people into following him, killing one of Tyria's greatest and most famous heroes would be counter productive. On the contrary, Jormag probably wants the Commander on his side more than anything. What better way to sell the idea that he is the "good guy" than getting the Pact Commander, the slayer of dragons, on your side.

    >

    > Sparing the Commander is probably just a means to an end, not a sign of benevolence.

Strong argument. I think you might be right. Jormag is a smart elder dragon.

I wonder what she knows about whats coming. But it must be something big.

Whatever way we are going, either we join Jormag, or we need Jormag to ally with us.. I think we will struggle for a while, but eventually we are going to need Jormag too.

  14. 2 new decorations for guildhalls.

You can get them at the vendors on the map after unlocking "shards of jormag" achievement and "spiritual renewal"

    - Frost Legion Machine (Needs Shards of Jormag)

    - Owl Spirit Statue (Spiritual Renewal)

    https://ibb.co/c8DKDdb

The frost Legion machine is pretty big. which fits nice in snow oriented themes (finally a reason to get snow deco's outside of winter season)

Edit: Weird markdown stuff, can't get the image in the post..

  15. > @"anninke.7469" said:

    > So you say what Jormag said is true because... Jormag said it? Am I getting your point right?

Well he does not in any way threaten us. Kralkattorik wasn't a bad guy at start either. The amount of magic drove him mad and conflicting in its head. All this time since the start of gw2 we are fighting with the idea that elder dragons are bad guys. Now we have Aurene, we have the struggling kralk and i just get the feeling that the PC automaticly assumes jormag is bad. Because, well we thats what they always said right? In every conversation with Jormag the PC is the one talking bad. saying Jormag is bad.

Until this point, we have attacked jormags minions, not the other way around. Right? We followed bangar, to well kill bangar. but has there been any attack from jormag towards us? or was he simply defending "his" territory?

  16. Also: in the announcement trailer Jormag says: (1:42 - 1:57)

Join me and you will have the strenght to protect your people from the trials to come.

Stand against me and you'll stand alone..

He doesn't say we will be his enemy. but that we will be alone in the next major thing that will hunt us..
