  1. I don't care to have a new playable race. I'd rather see the ones we have fleshed out more. As it stands the race choice during character creation means absolutely nothing past lvl 10.

Tell you what: if the art team has time enough to seriously consider shoehorning another race into currently existing gear, I'd rather they took that time and resources to properly fix the Norn, Charr and Azura into them and rid us of the geometry clipping, texture stretching, appendages cutting mess most of it currently is should you have chosen anything but HUMAN at character creation.

  2. I'm thinking Rytlock becoming Blood Legion Imperator would effectively write him "off the team" as a member of Dragon's watch. If the writers do indeed plan on retiring ( softly ) the character. Not unlike how they proceeded with Rox. That's another avenue of possibilities...

  3. My understanding is that Effram isn't even officially Imperator of the Flame Legion. He will "lead" Iron right until someone shows up to replace Smodur ( what a waste) and not a second longer. Personally, I don't even think the Khan-Ur position will be filled by the end of the saga.

The questions we should ask ourselves is who will lead Blood and who will lead Iron by the end of IBS. Will Crecia end up with the mantle of Blood Legion Imperator by default? (She's flame by origin) and "Tribune" Brimstone hasn't been with his legion in years. Will end up with the job ...by virtue of being the only Blood Tribune we actually know? Not to mention that neither of them are of the Blood Imperator line ( if that still means something).

Iron is a toss up. A good bet is to go with whoever the gang name dropped after Smodur's unceremonious exit. Mia Kindleshot I think ? Fume Brighteye would make an interesting choice by virtue of being more hot blooded. (I don't think we've ever seen her in game though). Then there is Bhuer Goreblade, head of the Adamant Guard. The Charr player interacts with him some during the personal story. The fact that he's male would make it a 2/2 split among Imperators of the Legions assuming Crecia and Effram both get confirmed to their new jobs. That would have symbolic value in any future Charr council ... which I think is where Charr society is headed ultimately.

  4. Since we're spitballing suggestions: We have the ability to hide helms and shoulders already. I'd love the ability to hide ONE shoulder from a set of two or mirror a set of one on both shoulders So I could walk around with a single Heavy Warband shoulder plate or say a matching set of Barbaric (or clockwork shoulders if I want to get fancy)

As a Charr player, the OP's comment about armor starting to lack variety made me smile. It's been like this for years for Charr. The options that allow you to not look like a huge cat-clown in human gear are limited. (insert mandatory rant about one of the most unlikely drops in the game being ... a Charr specific helm... but I digress )

Head armor, I get some people might want to see their face, but who exactly would run around shirtless for extended periods of time other than to troll? I just don't see what the point of this would be and would prefer resources to be used for other stuff.

You're probably not playing Charr, Sylvari or Norn. I can understand wanting to see the tattoo, bioluminescence or fur pattern one chose for their character at creation. Instead of going shirtless though, I'd rather see more chest armor options that show exposed arms or back.

  6. My point was : They were originally presented as unfathomable living forces of nature and we got served mustache twirling villains. (especially Mordremoth who keeps harping on about his power and our insignificance ). Zhaitan gets a by since his "mouths" did all the silly talk. Kralkatorrik felt the most genuine of the lot since I don't remember him addressing anyone but his grand daughter. It was even better when he was turning everyone and everything to crystal just by being present. ( as seen is Ghosts of Ascalon )

  7. My issue with the Elder Dragons is they became persons. Sure, very large creatures but when they started talking to you they became typical mustache twirling villains. I don't speak to the ants I'm displacing when I'm digging a hole near their hive... I'm just planting flowers. I'm sure they see me as some unfathomable world ending living disaster. That's why I always felt that the logical course would have been to find a way to put them back to sleep with magic, ritual, powerful artifact, what have you. Baring that, blasting them with advanced weaponry but we all saw how the Zhaitan fight went down with players. I mean, I'm sure I would take notice if the ants started shooting at me... maybe.

The bottom part of the blade bears something that could perhaps pass for some form of writting ( I'm not saying it is ) This makes me wonder, have we ever seen a Charr version of New Krytan? ( as weird as it may sound )

    As a referrence: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/New_Krytan

    > The charr versions are for inscribing on wood or stone. They are described as "a roman type of very direct, strong marks".

  9. It's funny, thinking of a GW2 movie my thoughts go to a live action rendition of Ghosts of Ascalon (and it's ensemble cast) rather than the actual GW2 storyline. Not a jab at GW2 per say, I just think that GoA makes for a more entertaining, constrained adventure.

  10. I'm not warm to the idea of straight backed charr myself. I think the NPCs running around the black Citadel on two legs look goofy enough. Then again, keeping in mind all the hair "styles" available to charr of either genders, I'm not sure having the option of standing straight like some pompous vintage Flame shaman is the worst thing that could happen to them. ;)

  11. Getting the anniversary pack reminded me that 8 years ago, on a Friday night, at midnight sharp, I was rushing through character creation just to lock in a name and delete the toon right after. Then, went back in recreated the character, took my time with all the sliders, etc and started playing. Somewhere in there I took the time to phone work and call in sick for the next morning, lol.
