would traiblazer be better for soloing bounties? i have enough VB boxes to get a full set

  2. then i think i'll play something else. i play open world to relax and a class that requires me to do a raid-level rotation seems like the opposite of that. not to mention that i play with 170ms, so having to perfectly time things in order to survive is a perfect recipe for frustration

    thanks for the reply

  3. i've been playing around in the open world and it seems like i have to bend over backward in order to kill even basic veterans that i can easily take down on other classes (especially hydras and awakened) and taking on 2 at a time might as well be suicide... not to mention that the downed skills are so weak my chance to rally against anything meaningful are basically zero.

this is the build i generally run: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgEsEWGBrhpwuYk4Yvk22A-zRZYBJFwWSCIqY4yIwEIiCwsB-e i tried weaver as well but didn't do any better. am i doing something horribly wrong, or is the class just weaker than others in open world? i have a thief, a ranger and a revenant that i play with far more ease than this elementalist

  4. the character i want to use for LW4 only has done POF until the riverlands; do you get different/bonus dialogs if you completed the path of fire story or is it okay to jump straight into S4? (I've already finished the whole story on another character so i'm aware of what happens in the plot)

  5. I tried leveling a revenant in the past with s/s but got pretty bored of it... can't really tell why, but i don't enjoy using swords. i'm having way more fun with m/a but the fact that they're condition weapons makes me worried about dealing with structures.

can anyone who leveled with m/a tell me if they're good at higher levels?

  6. i remember silverwastes being very popular back in the day, with it yielding 30-35g/h was a great method to craft my first ascended set. now i'm looking to make a legendary weapon but over the past few days i haven't seen a single squad being advertised on the LFG. has the map lost popularity for some reason? if so, are there any other methods of farming gold which are as efficient - or more - currently in the game?

  7. i stopped playing in the HOT days (before LW3 started) and i've been thinking of coming back during my vacation since i've heard a lot of good things about POF; but there are still a few things that quite bugged me whenever i thought of coming back, and i'd wish to know if they're still present before i download such a large game (high-speed internet in my country isn't very affordable)

1 - do you still have to buy living world seasons from the cash shop if you didn't log in when they were current content?

2 - is it worth it to get POF on sale (i assume there will be one on black friday) or is it a better idea to wait for the next expansion, since they'll give out POF for free to people who purchase

3 - are HOT and LW3/4 content is still alive, or have people abandoned it for the newer stuff?

4 - is the open-world content available with the expansion enough to justify a purchase? i mostly did fractals and silverwastes back in the day, but i'd be changing mains from warrior to necromancer and i'm not in the mood to farm gold for another ascended set... raid and PVP aren't really my thing, although i enjoyed my limited experience with WvW

5 - is the game still full of mobs with knockback/down effects? because one of the main things that made it unfun for me was my character becoming a pinball whenever i fought a couple of griffins/stoneheads
