  1. YAY!!! We normally do our GM on Sunday mornings, but we chose to do them today. I don't know if it was that change or if they did something directly to fix it or not or if it was the patch that dropped recently. But either way we are back to getting our guild mission rewards! This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened to us. Given the weekly nature it goes unnoticed sometimes. But it's back to working and that's what matters.

    THANK YOU! ArenaNet staff

Thank You Wolf & Kumiponi for you input :)

I'm just glad I didn't have to file a ticket *wipes sweat off forehead*

    > It could be worth it to check if the same thing happens with another guild, using the same character(s). If not, then there may be something wrong with your guild's data on the servers.

    Good suggestion!

How is that going to work? We tried our other 2 guilds that needed the same credit. They did get the favor, but due to the 1 reward/per account/per guild/day (or week really)? We have all 5 guilds full and 3 (or is it 2 I forgot) of those guilds are maxed. So we mostly only work on our remaining guilds. But yes we tried that and while the guild received credit, we did not get our reward.

So the only way to check your theory now would be to leave one of our guilds and try it with another not owned buy us. Is that what you would think? That could rule out that it is a guild issue and show an account issue instead. Since both of us did not get our rewards.

This weekend we will know for sure as it will be our 3rd time not getting them.

  3. > @"Wolfb.7025" said:

    1- Not an issue

2- Not an issue as stated the guild received the favor therefore the mission was completed!

3- As per my post but again not an issue, they were closed. Then once we completed the mission they were opened with the glowy icon in the chest and the glowy shield for the guild mission. Again, NO REWARD.

This happened for Trek, bounty and race, though race was completed before we arrived, and we (more than one account) did not receive rewards for any.

Thanks for trying. The best I'm hoping is they are working on guild missions for EoD. Worst we won't get credit again this weekend and there needs to be a ticket that won't get fixed. Like my last 2 tickets. "we will have to wait until we can assign a developer" (i.e. NEVER going to happen)

The post was made to see if others were having similar issues. Why? Well when we did our missions 2 weeks prior others were complaining about this very issue. We told them we had not had any problems and we received our rewards then for Trek, Race, and Bounty. The next weekend no rewards, then again last weekend no rewards. Again it's taken up to a full minute to receive them the last few weeks we did the missions. Would be nice to know I won't be wasting my time this weekend but.....

  4. This is the second weekend in a row that we have done guild missions and not gotten the rewards. We get the credit for the guild the points for favor increase the personal and guild icons change to reflect completion. No reward chest is spawned or dropped in the right hand reward panel area for our characters. We have, since 2020, noticed a much loner wait time for the chests to drop. But now they are not even dropping.

For those of us still working on the HoT guild weapon skins this BLOCKS PROGRESS as the commendations are not able to be collected. Please fix it soon or post what can be done to resolve or work around the problem.

I would like to suggest that the guild rewards and the commendations be added to a chest in the guild hall that guild members can go to and open up when they are done for their rewards. Just a thought.

    Thank You

  5. **Candy Corn Gobbler**

Change it to be more inline with the newer Snowflake and Taffy gobblers.

    _Suggested update:_

**KEEP** the boosters it currently provides! Keep icons or lump them all into one new icon like the Taffy and Snowflake gobblers.

Double click to consume 3 candy corn and a random transmogrification.

Right click to open panel with buy option. The Buy option would cost 25 Candy Corn per buy and either yield a Trick or Treat bag or 5 minutes of each XP, Item, Karma, Speed, Damage Reduction, Healthful Rejuvenation booster all at once.

Have it take from inventory AND Bank if needed.

The biggest drawback to using the CCG for boosters is it waist of time to stack the boosts. Stacking up for Special events, getting ready to go do maps, or when going into WvW, PvP for dailies, even just to get some rank up, It takes more time to get boosters loaded than it does the amount of time spent completing those tasks. I presume more players would buy the item if it didn't take so long to use it's best features, something I'm sure many complain about just sitting there clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking......AND clicking. Yes there are some things that you can do between clicks, run to the next task or vista or xyz, but that doesn't make it as enjoyable as the feeling you get from a buy 10 stacks of boosters > now go out and play vs Sit + kill your mouse left click key button for 20 minutes > now go out and play!

Thanks for considering this as a QoL update to a **VERY WELL LOVED** gizmo!

I find it in Divinity's Reach however (in the back alley behind the inn) with a non-human toon that hasn't touched personal story content for years.

    >

    >

I spent the better part of 30 minutes in DR with my Human looking before and after farming home instance and never once found it, covering the allies and all the pathways. Thank you for confirming what I experienced!

This also speaks to what is stated here.

Clearly something with the home instances is bugged given the M.O.X. note also. I hope they revisit this?

  7. "Fixed an issue in which the Salvage Pile Home Instance Node would not appear in some home instances." ~ [Release Notes](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/106458/game-update-notes-may-26-2020#latest)

So I don't know if this helps or not, nor if it is as intended. I have noticed that the Salvage Pile Home Instance Node is apparently character / character's race bound and does not show up for my other characters when in their home instance.

    * explanation:

I bought the home instance node on a Norn who was currently playing the new content. The node supposedly unlocked according to the yellow notification and audible sound. I swapped to my daily home instance farming character (Human in DR) and entered into the home instance looking for the new node to use. I did not find the node in the DR . I swapped to the Norn who bought it and entered it's home instance in Hoelbrak, it was there. I swapped back to my daily home farmer and again tried to find it in DR but didn't. I too my human daily farmer to Hoelbrak and entered the home instance and it was there.

    * * Side note: I noticed M.O.X. was also showing up for characters (human farmer) who had not completed the unlock process to have him appear. M.O.X.'s appearance was not consistent.

    * * "M.O.X. will join your home instance after completing Heart of the Volcano (for the character that completed the chapter)" ~[Wiki](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Home_instance)

I hope this helps and if it IS supposed to be account bound it does not appear to be doing so. I have to go to the racial home instance of the purchasing character.

    Thanks

  8. I can't say more than I already have in other posts about this, but I DID say it would be a failure if it was not added in the journal and with the original content! From HUGE OMG SO SWEEET! To; oh well, at least they tried.................. :'( :'( :'(

But maybe it's a work in progress!? I'm okay if they keep adding more to it later down the road but...yeah.........................

The same thing could have been done with the Portal Stone. Present it to Aurene after completing the story missions to have her modify it or something.

    >

I would have to agreed, it s a bit (and I hesitate saying this) lazy that this was not done to begin with. They must have known we had it, they had to have known we would use the ones we were given. I totally accept that they represent different instances and that can make it difficult. But the "View eye the north before your friends arrived" is still account based when going there and no different from the HoM portal stone.

Now that I've had my cry here's a few suggestions for a solution:

    1. Change existing HoM portal stones to point to the new Map / Open World EotN

    2. Add a selection page like the other passes and portals have so that the HoM Portal Stone can take you to either your account based instance or the Open World Map

    3. Remove the tithe to the account based instance and add that gw1 merchant unlock as an upgrade to Lady Chamilla's for free. Allowing access to the reward merchant in the new map along with the rewards.

    4. okay......I ran out of ideas :p

But please by all means do update change this, it is a total removal of immersion going there via HoM stone press M double click WP........Just total...........YOU KNOW!

  10. IIRC there was a pol done on this topic along the lines of a challenge mote to decrease and increase the challenge rating. I don't recall what the result was but nothing in game happened from it either.

Though I agree, I'd love to dungeon style the raids. But then RAIDs are excerpts from the LWS Story arcs to begin with. But they do add some good tid bits.

Exactly, and for quite some time were content. It was latter that some called for "challenging content" beyond what was already the concept (dungeons) for guild wars 2. When HoT came out I found the very same players crying about the difficulty level whom once had cried for "challenging content"! HoT later received not 1 but TWO reductions to it's challenge level to were it is today. RAIDs is your challenging content..if players are not going there that is on your community. Maybe take a closer look see why others are not signing up?

We had this. We used to be able to complete a timed "pre event" that wold spawn world bosses. PoF was full of pre event > meta events player activation content. Both were changed. Inevitably things that we once enjoyed as a solo or +more player gets converted to group or timed events. I mad the most progress on Real-Portal Spiker when my wife and I would start the meta and try to bring in other players. Sadly often times all we received back was "wait till reset" :s they didn't know I just didn't want to waist the meta and only do one lane to get our portal spiker. Plus getting the end chest would have been nice. But we had initially started it just so we could get progress on spiker. It's one of the very few things left in PoF we have to do.

  13. I wouldn't say its worse, I'd just say it hasn't changed. I think for some, myself included, Strike Missions were seen as the PvE'rs raid instead of an "Elites" raid. Implemented as a stepping stone / training arena for raids, it's aesthetics fit the player wanting to do raids but also avoiding some of it's drawbacks, distraction issues, time commitment, toxicity (hopefully), "normal mode mote" / Dungeon boss level. I had high hopes for Strike Missions, they went in a different direction with it but oh well. It's a bummer they messed up my Story Meta because of strike missions, but it is what it is! So deflated goes my desire for them.

Fractals, I admittedly have done less fractals than dungeons. I think my personal level is 40 or something so not high, still newish and I do not have the maps memorized. I can't say that I have had too much toxicity with fractals. If your good at following along and do a decent amount of dmg Fractal Regulars seem to be on an average decent. For sure you'll still hear the "time is money" and a player or 2 might leave if it's not looking like a "fast" win. But that's in all "end game-ish" content.

Since DPS meters were "allowedish" (could be wrong but I thought I recalled a dev comment on them being okay under certain circumstances somewhere?) I've seen a bit more of the "This group isn't meeting DPS reqs, GL" then player leaves. That's actually the best that could happen in that kind of situation and it's annoying but I usually whisper the player and thank them for not being a XYZ. Because they could have! The last Dragon Bash, while awesome, had quite a few of the DPS metered groups and it sucked continually trying to find a group that wasn't being a XYZ. Over time we did get those achieves done but suffering through the DPS groups just blew!

There's 2 ways players will win in this game.

1 = Skillzez! High DPS, meta Build Template, Geared to the teeth, hit hard hit fast done!

2 = Slow n Steady, I don't care if you, like I was in a raid once, are nicked with a stick as long as you keep trying and stick (no pun ;) ) around to the end.

1 Skill or 2 patients One or the other usually wins out. In my experience anyway.

    Good Luck and Enjoy

  14. "With Guild Wars 2, we wanted the entire gameplay experience to be something that players enjoyed, regardless of how much time they could dedicate."

    _and_

"As you can see, we’ve taken the idea of “endgame” content beyond the traditional model and have infused it in all levels of the game, while adding enough variety to keep players with a wide array of interests engaged." ~ by Mike Zadorojny on September 13, 2012

The developers have stated that they wanted the endgame to be only cosmetic, as opposed to a stat-driven 'gear treadmill' (a repetitious cycle of acquiring gear to beat harder content that rewards better gear, ad infinitum). ~[Wiki](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Endgame) True, better gear is not being rewarded on better cosmetics. But better gear or better cosmetics, it's still the carrot players go for!

So as mentioned earlier, why can't we get the same rewards doing what we enjoy while creating positive interactions?

I agree, I kept trying to have us train on VG, but the group voted for the Keep (I' think that was it the worgs and caslte?) we never made it much past the worgs.

Welp, I've already stated I have a video of just the kinds of problems I and others have listed. I'm not the only one either go look you'll find it. It's no mere "perception" but you keep telling yourself that! That in it's own is proof of the leetude we are talking about.

The REAL fact is ANet has and knows the numbers but will NEVER share them. So to a point we'll never know. But if you look with open eyes you will see!

Have a good day and Enjoy!

So you admit the problem exists?!

The forums contain the opinions of mine and a great many others as to why we feel this way. Mine is just one but it's exactly the experiences we've had. So there is no "believe" needed. It's cold hard truth from actual game play. I even have some videos showing it but I can't share them.

Yes, there absolutely are guilds dedicate to training for raids / strike missions. Been there done that. I cannot say it was a totally bad experience but I can say that when it came time, after having built a dedicated team over the course of a week with extra time on the weekend, to actually go for the kill. It went NOTHING like the 5 "training's" before hand so we never actual made a single defeat. Kinda disheartening. Again this is just our experiences. Others may have had better or even worse. Still was NOT worth the time we put into it!

So I get that that comment is a bit vague. It's essential venting that the AP is split between modes rather than being able to gain it all from one mode. Also the point is as I have posted on another forum for Strike Missions. That is that we have lost the "option" of completing the Story achievements from strike missions and now are required to IF we CHOOSE (and many do!! Like myself. In fact this is the first Story Journal I haven't finished.) to finish the story achievements to do strike missions. That comes with a multitude of other problems. Though, it does comply with Player Autonomy.....so it's apparently were they are going moving forward. Never mind the "we want positive player interactions" Cuz that will not take place with two groups going after 2 separate goals in the same content! For example, this Monday you might go for Fraenir of Jormag for the weekly rewards/hope at rare chest drop. While we will be going in it for the achievements. All 3 achievements promote some party members focusing on other things than actually wining. THAT's not going to make others happy and groups have disbursed because of it. So, tell me. Wouldn't you be complaining if the role was reversed? I see your side of it, you want more players playing your content (at least that's my thought?). But if you want that there is a saying "beggars can't be choosers".

In the end we all want the same thing. To play the game and get shinies from the game mode we enjoy (and have fun at it). So why can't we?

  18. > @"Jayden Reese.9542" said:

    > Then don't be a part of it? Why does it bother you that something you don't want to do is in GW2?

Because they attach the shinies to them! Why can't we have the same shinies earned w/o Strike Missions, Raids, PvP, WvW, etc..? Why can't I get the same reward for say killing 10000 World Bosses!? Or 2500 Bounties or 7k Champions? Why doesn't PvE have that? Just like other game modes. Other game modes run in do the story then load up a reward track and rinse repeat until you get all your shinies. Why can't PvE have those same rewards for doing the same thing over and over? That's all we do do! Story > Map > Events > Meta > Achievements > repeat.

Welp, that's off my chest not like it'll happen but just say'n. Look at it from both sides not just the one ou play, I' don't have a ton of rank but I do play all 3 game modes

  19. > @"Swagger.1459" said:

    > 3- Combining number 1 + 2 ultimately created a toxic environment for instanced content that most people don't want to be part of.

I'd have to say this is the biggest reason for us. It started back with dungeon in 2013 when we tried our first time and it left a bad taste in our mouths that we now avoid that kind of content with a passion. It's still prevalent today though less toxic it comes now in the form of competitive PvE players leaving the group causing longer wait times IF it even forms. Or Group forms runs through fails and breaks apart. They are just two different styles of play that don't mix well!

PvE Elite = Pro player, usually 1 prof know inside and out with variant builds and gear, faster PC systems & Bandwidth, typically younger (could be wrong just seems it?), not willing to stick around, share or teach.

PvE Average = Patient, willing to try again multiple times (remember LWS2 Achievs?), plays all or most profs, usually ≤ some ascended, 1 or 2 build/toon, often or sometimes Min. PC specs, slower bandwidth, Older & slower (not that all are!) willing to learn, share and be taught.

Sure you can pick that apart if you want to go down that road.

The other MAJOR issue not mentioned is the Distraction Factor! That's a huge one for us also.

  20. > @"zealex.9410" said:

    > Is it confirmed that the se1 content will come as scrying pool content? If so thats a bad way to go about it imo and doesnt adress the issue the removal pf se1 created in the first place.

It, as far as I know, has not been confirmed either way, via scrying pool or as Story Journal. It just makes sense to attach it to the story journal as that was the new method since it's release and "going forward". It also has merit in scrying pool from gw1 since we had missions to participate in from there back then also (iirc?). But as far as we know these are just hopes and wishes being voiced.

It's one of those "You'll have to wait and see!" things.

My expectations are tempered as I'm sure they probably attached the weapon variants to strike mission rewards, so other than LWS1 returning hopefully in ALL it's glory or Story Journal version of it, I'm expecting to enjoy Story > Map > LWS1 > Repeat! Instead of what I used to do until 2020 Story > Map > Achievements > Repeat. It's less playtime, less fun but most I can hope for is the stone summet skins will be map rewards or task vendor unlocks?

As for my enthusiasm no reason I can't be excited! And I am I really hope the recent posts made a change and they've reconsidered where to attach some rewards or how and to what. But either way, it's always nice to get something new to do and be excited about. ;)
