  1. I am curious what kind of Elite Spec Engineer may get if it is a Elite Spec that focus on manipulating Quantum
  2. I am honestly far more interested in make the new Cantha Elite Spec one that gives players options between Direct DPS, Support, and Condition DPS by choosing which path in the skill tree. For example, Tier 2, Tier 4, and Tier 6 passive of the skill tree are where players always choose their playstyle between 3 passives. they can design Tier 2 where players choose their gameplay focus with 1st passive increasing Power damage, Crit chance, and Crit damage (Direct DPS path), 2nd passive focus on giving buffs, healing, and/or shields to the player and allies around them by using Weapon, belt, and utility skills but no Damage increase in neither Direct nor condition damage, and 3rd passive focus on buffing condition damage, condition duration, and add 1 extra stack of conditions applied to enemies. After Tier 2 the Tier 4 and Tier 6 becomes more focus on if players wish to mix up their gameplay or be more directly focused on a specific gameplay style.

  4. Imagine they actually made Engineer Cantha elite spec the Commando and focus on Utility Command skills which are basically large range AoE Shout party buffs and enemy debuffs

Worst case Anet may have completely forgotten about the Stone Summit since we have never seen them again after that one mission. Now back on topic: There is just too much to be certain yet what Primordus goals are. We know his actions for creating destruction but we yet to look into his mind into why. It is easier to judge a being through actions alone but harder to understand them only through actions.

I never said anything about redeeming Primordus. I am talking about how little we understand Primordus' mindset beyond just actions of destroying lands to a point only rocks, lava, and magma remains. He is the only Elder Dragon we currently encountered that has little insight into his own mind and thinking but we know for certain he does have a mind to act out his actions. Primordus is for certain not doing this out of desire for destruction alone because if so then he will not seek to create a world where all life are basically Destroyers and filled with lava. There are certainly many speculations about why Primordus maybe doing this such as he can't survive outside of lava and magma so a world filled with Magma and lava is probably the only world he can be free from his prison of being stuck underground. Understanding what Primordus is thinking is the last piece we need to understand his reasoning for why he seeks to recreate the world as a lava filled world.

We never really had much insight into the mind of Primordus from the beginning anyways. He is probably the one Elder Dragon we encounter that we don't have much understand about in a personality level compared to other Elder Dragons we encountered so far where we get some kind of understanding about them with each encounter. -Zhaitan wanted the entire world to be Undead because life between being dead and alive was his ideal world where it is free from the fears of dying and living. -Jormag is all about preserving the world in Ice to put it in a eternal stagnation so nothing will ever change and no one can ever harm each other when frozen. -Mordremoth was just "My mind is the only one that matters" so his ideal world was one where everything is linked together under one mind and one body being his mind and body. -Kralkatorrik was just going crazy because he consumed way too much magical energy to a point his mind split into two personalites being one side is his original personality probably before Elder Dragons became Elder Dragons and the other being a chaotic destruction seeking maniac.

It is most likely the result of Kralkatorrik side of magic fusing with Jormag's Ice. Now Jormag's Ice is like being frozen in Crystals and may have develop magic resistance to heat. This maybe of course is a flaw in Ryland's plan and expectations because if Jormag's Ice is now naturally resistance to heat because of Kralk's magic fused into her own magic then these people will forever be frozen and never thaw out. However, this is a case of being too blinded by all the promises from Jormag for something that is uncertain will happen or not because these promises require a very long time to happen so he can't see beyond the trees in this forest of lies Jormag has placed him into.

It is most likely due to how much technology was allowed to advance. For Joko, he probably kept technology down to still bows and arrows to prevent creations of technology that may expose him. Only the Order of Whispers that remained in Elona manage to use guns as shown by how they created the Deadeye Elite Specialization since they did not restrict themselves to Joko's standards on what is allowed. Cantha on the other hand may have allowed their own technology to advance enough to introduce Guns as a common use but that is assuming the Canthan Emperor allowed it to reach that point.
  10. I think we may need more information on how Jormag and Primordus are adjusting the magic of other Elder Dragons to better understand this. We know Primordus minions are back to looking like they use to be because he has readjusted the magical energy of the other Elder Dragons he absorbed. However, it does appear they lost certain powers but may have gained some kind of new power due to these adjustments.

There's also the change in tactics, focusing on targets that are comparatively more heavily populated. from the first Champion trailer, there may have been a bit more story missions involving the dwarf's return before that specific Story mission but they may have been scrapped due to internal issues with finishing those content in the planned schedule. A good amount of Champion's story feels like it is missing due to the current state of our world today from how work places must work under certain limits just to keep working.

Our understanding of Tyria and the cultures have been very limited to only the knowledge of the places we have known since GW1. To assume the 7 Gods are the only Gods that manage to find Tyria from the Mist is a debatable topic in general since we know so little about other civilizations beyond the locations we know about now. The Elder Dragons have also been locked within the regions of GW2. Their entire plan is to conquer the region we play in now before moving on to the remaining 80% of the world. If there are other Gods beyond in the other Civilizations we have not seen yet then the current plan for Elder Dragons are most likely to save them for after establishing the place we play in as their main base of operations before moving on to them or they remain unaware of other Gods existance since the Elder Dragons have all been so focused on capturing the location where we have been playing in for so long. I honestly, won't be surpised once we enter these other civilizations that they may make a "Elder Dragon what?" and "What do you mean the world almost ended? You must be crazy." type of thoughts and statements since only the regions we have been playing in since GW1 had to face the wrath of the Elder Dragons. Along with being the only defense against the Elder Dragons from destroying the world since if the Commander and his/her allies fails here in the regions we will play in up to EoD then the entire world will be doomed. Speaking of which, it has always been strange how majority of the Elder Dragons, except Bubbles, awaken right in a location within the region we have played in since GW1 or atleast very near these locations. Though I always assume that is because the location we play in now was their final battle spot before falling asleep in the previous cycle. Primordus awakened in the Deep right under the GW1 Prophecy/GW2 Core game location. Zhaitan is Orr. Mordremoth is the Maguuma jungle Jormag is the Shiverpeaks Kralkatorrik is in the Blood Legion homeland.

There are probably other civilizations beyond and probably have Gods of their own. We may explore into these unknown regions and new civilizations once the Elder Dragon Storyline finally ends sometime either after EoD or after the living world after EoD since it will be unknown territory for everyone.

One of many thing rushed in Champions sadly. We should expect Champion story to be in this state since this single episode split into 4 parts is meant to be the one episode that leads into End of Dragons. It originally may have been long as all other epsiodes if released as a normal episode of Icebrood Saga. The current state of our own world may have also contributed to this state due to restrictions placed on businesses.

As for Jormag, the Benevolent Dictator personality of Jormag has been her personality for a long time as the Icebroods have presented her that way since the beginning of GW2 as a Elder Dragon that will always give those who serve her what they want in return they give her what she wants. Also Jormags needs to do is whisper and talk to these people into believing what she provides is what they want. While it was not presented properly due to how the Champion Episode is split into such small pieces and does appear rushed in certain areas, Jormag is all about appearing benevolent and having people willingly join her instead of forcing them to join her. They have not changed anything about Jormag's method of trying to corrupt people being to always attempt to have people willingly accept becoming her minion through promises of getting what they want and desire. With Aurene being young, Jormag thought she could persuade Aurene to join her though the idea of being a Benevolent Ruler and sharing that rule as equals while reminding Aurene that she is lacking life experience and Aurene should follow her suggestions because she is older and has more experience due to living long. At this point it is obvious Jormag has given up on trying since Aurene refuse to be persuaded by her words. It is not deep as it should be if it was running on a normal planned schedule but it does follow up on past knowledge about how Jormag handle things when it comes to attempting to corrupt beings and how she acts when she considers her attempt to corrupt people a failure. As draxynnic said, Jormag is that one person in a abusive relationship but in this case it is like a abusive adult, or should I say abusive Aunt, to someone they consider a child. They always act nice and give a certain attention to the child with making them feel comfort as long they get what they want from the child but if they don't get what they want despite the child behaving and done nothing wrong they get very violent. At this point we are past the giving the feeling of comfort and acting nice since Aurene refuse to give Jormag what she wants. Now it has become the violent stage of that abusive relationship thing of the family.

Jormag naturally believes she is doing the right thing by freezing the entire world to preserve and protect the world. In Jormag's eyes, her ideal world where everything is forever trapped in eternal stagnated state due to being frozen forever is a better world. No one can be harmed by change and be harmed by others because they are forever frozen in Ice. I blame how they must cut up this last episode of Icebrood saga into 4 parts. It can leave a lot of inconsistency due to X or Y part not fully explored until a certain future mission is released. We technically are not missing much time between the wait lorewise as these Champion missions are intended to happen right after each other. Though, the mission setup now does feel like the GW1 style of handling story missions with the addition players can choose free join for their story mission
  17. Ok so story released now and we have 4 missions this time. 2 Primodus and 2 Jormag Well it was expect that Jormag will start acting up and now we know the reason for both sides. Primordus seeks to destroy everything and the more of the world that is destroyed the stronger he becomes. Jormag seeks to freeze everything and the more of the world that is frozen the stronger she becomes. Ryland is only going along with this because he still believes Jormag will make him the new Jesus Christs of the new world she seeks to create once she is the only Elder Dragon alive. Of course that obviously will never happen since that will require the world to become warm enough for these people frozen to be free which will never happen in Jormag's new world where everything is frozen in Ice. Also it is a bit sad Owl is now dead. I was hoping to see more of her but guess death is a better fate than being corrupted to a Elder Dragon.

Undead rising magic only has the effect of the body not fully functioning normally mostly because the magical energy for necromancy focus on keeping only the flesh functioning but does not restore the other functions that keeps the body from rotting. The type of Magical energy used is always the largest factor on how the magic take its form and what results it produces.

Of course this also establish there is a limit to how much a Waypoint can teleport so large scale teleportation by ships and other means are still required for basic trading since waypoints are limited to only transporting a individual person with whatever they carry on him or her. The person being teleported also must have a establish a connection to that waypoint if they wish to continue using it so transportation of goods through ships is still required since these things can't establish a connection with waypoints. Waypoint function and limits are basically the same as FF14 Aetheryte's teleportation.

What happens to Rox and the Olmakhan after in the new storyline after Elder Dragon Storyline ends is up to speculation since chances are that they become reduced more to cameo appearances.

Such method of transpotation of supplies and other materials is only possible if the location has access to waypoints. Elona only recently obtained Waypoints into their region due to how people can now enter Elona by Airship but they still have few waypoints that the ones they have are placed very far apart compared to regions of Base GW2 and HoT regions. It is also why the Elona region still depend greatly on trade by ships since normal small waypoints have a limited capacity to what they can teleport compared to Asura Gates. We should probably expect Cantha to be similar in Waypoint spreading since they have been in isolation for a very long time and only method of trade for outside technology and other goods has only been through the Zephyrites once a year. Even once their borders become open, ships are most likely going to be still common trade method for them when it comes to overseas trading with other countries for large scale trading.

Using our role to keep fragmenting guild members together didn't make for compelling heroic fantasy writing. His VA was stilted aboslutely, but that was likely intended with the overall style with all the Sylvari VA at the time. > Trahearne's biggest issue was the inconsistency in how he was introduced. Not many characters get that opportunity in the game. He was meant to be annoying to everyone around him and for players to dislike him to ensure that his eventual redemption had meaning. I think a lot of people forget that Braham is literally a teenager dealing with a lot of things far out of most people's teenage years experience. Braham is born on 1309 A.E, Heart of Thorns happened in 1328 A.E., and the year is now 1330 A.E.. He literally had to watch his mother die at the age of 17 years old after finally reconsolidated their family relationship after growing up without her most of his life. He also grew up in a era that is thrown into constant war because beings of great power called Elder Dragons constantly attacking his own home and murdering or corrupting his friends, family, and people he has known growing up. We can't really put our own standards on Braham due to the type of world he lives in which is in constant war everywhere people go.
  23. Honestly, the removal of the Nightmare Court Story part of Heart of Thorns really put a "thorn" into the Nightmare Court side of the storyline. It is something that is really needed to be covered considering how much the Final Boss Meta implied about the Nightmare Court's fate because of Mordremoth's actions. Not to mention the removed 4th Path for the meta that was going to be tied to the Nightmare Court side of the Story for Heart of Thorns. Now we hardly hear anything about the Nightmare Court and their current status in current storyline even for small mentions. It really leaves a feel they rushed and skipped the Nightmare Court story in Heart of Thorns so they can hastily remove the Nightmare Court from future storylines after Heart of Thorns which currently does appear that way.

I have been quite happy to have him as my superior as he was taking all the responsabilities of leading an army for me. Well some of the hate was certainly from not being the main leader of the Pact. However, that may have been more due to now understanding the responsibilities of what being the leader of the Pact meant. Some people think being a leader of the organization in a fantasy story means doing whatever they want and letting subordinates do all the unimportant work for you which is not how things work when you're a leader of a entire organization. There is a lot of paperwork to approve missions and talent to be added into the organization or not approve them, diplomatic negotiations, trading management, public relation development for the organization, recruit management, hiring the right people to help manage certain resource sections of the organization, direct meetings, determining types of research for the organization, and etc involved that is far from the physical labor of direct combat. Something Trehearne was far more use to than the Commander who is more use to direct combat no matter the origins. This kind of position would have also prevented the Commander from being free to do the things he/she does as a adventurer. I think a lot of people never recognized Trehearne put himself in a position where he is rarely free to do what he wants in the organization due to all these management tasks required of a Organization leader so the Commander can be in a position to do as he/she pleased for so long until the Commander is summoned for Pact missions. Logan of course has experience in these things due to his former position as leader of the Seraph so he is fine with sitting behind a desk most of his workdays filling papers until a more direct action is needed.

In fact logan makes for a great replacement for trahearne imo, but doesnt make nearly as much of an appearance. I just wanna follow that gleaming armour into battle and not have to be one that pushes the narrative and solves everyone's problems and character arcs. I think the Logan not being more involved in the story despite being the new leader of the Pact is due to how they don't want to repeat the same mistake they had with Trehearne. They even provided the lore reason for that before Logan was chosen to make it clear to the player base Logan will not be involved alot unless necessary. One of the reasons why Trehearne became a focus of stealing credit by players is how he was placed as a constant companion in everything the Commander did. It left a feeling that the Commander was more of a side-kick for Trehearne when Trehearne was meant more to be the side-kick that provided us allies and dealt with the politics every player will hate to deal with while the Commander did the more physical tasks. Of course now with Trehearne gone, the Commander is stuck dealing with the politics with the physical tasks now. Atleast the Commander does not have to deal with the piles of paperwork that is involved with the politics and approval of missions since the Commander has basically retired from the Pact to be a member of Dragon's Watch. Though by military standards, the Commander still holds the rank Commander due to how a person who retires will retire with the rank they were in. However, as of now even Dragon's watch is slowly splitting up now as we get closer to the end of the Elder Dragon storyline just around the corner in EoD or the living world after EoD.
