You seem salty about that people see you as a new player or someone how isn't invested. What's the problem with it?
-
Just use a different class.

Let's sort some things out. Frist semantics: dying and dead became more of a term of a constantly declining popularity/population which is true. Also a lot of friends I know quit playing the game, but of course there are new players coming. Then there are some other issues: the MMO genre is on the decline since the peak times of 2008-2010. The MOBAs came and now Battle Royale. Just trends, they come and go.
Then there is the personal perspective or perception: I don't play it anymore or rarely, hence I feel the game does not well. Then there are some facts: the presence in the internet and general popularity declining ("this game is still online?"). And of course the facts about money and income of reports. Nonetheless MMOs usually have a very long lifespan and many studios keep their game up for as long as possible - even with a small playerbase.
I think - even if the game and the genre in the whole - won't be back in the days anymore, this game will surely get some player influx caused by steam and the new expansion. So pretty sure you'll be safe for the next couple of years if not even longer.

Oh thanks, I thought that was a misspelling... okay. Got it. Questionable...

I have all mounts and I am okay with the way you get the more advanced ones. But the Skyscale one is a bit over the top. Don't know why they did it. It's such a basic thing to have a mount. Imho they'd rather made a special skin for it complicated (everyone remembers the Netherdrake in WoW?).
-
In 90% of the cases when I mount I use the Skyscale.
-
Additionally, I will add this map. It's fan made, but it is likely, we will get a in game map like this, when the expansion releases, which imo is much more immersive than in GW1:

Human nature is illogical as a Vulcan would say. Just forget about it, don't get angry (I know, it's hard sometimes) and join a different group.
-
I never had big problems since I used to play all the souls games and played a lot of hard games back in the 90ies. Still the damage output of some enemies in HoT are ridiculous. Never got why there are enemies dishing out single hits of 20-30k. What was the idea behind this? Of course I learned and new most attacks when to dodge or omit damage etc. Still it isn't really leisure time and not necessary in open world imo. That's where instanced content is for IMO.
-
Nice, finally I can play them. Something to do again.

This hole lootbox RNG stuff should be completely banned from the game industry. It ruins existences and plays with your mind. Not everyone is susceptible to gambling, but some people just can't stop. It is utterly questionable and more and more countries are demanding regulations.

Yes, it serves a purpose; diversification of gameplay. I never heard from people who complain these have hard jumping sections in games until let's say 10 years ago. Maybe people don't know what to expect in GW2, but I think the addition of jumping section in GW2 very refreshing (well back in 2012). I think the problem is more the demographics entering gaming; casuals who only played some mobile games where you need no dexterity.
-
Some are casual but talented and don't have much problems. I liked it more or less, but I also understand that some enemies dish out ridiculous amounts of damage. But you can learn to avoid them. As someone who plays on and off this may sometimes be frustrating. You mentioned you are reaper: this is by far the easiest class to get through this content, but you still seem frustrated. I don't know...
-
They don't have anything else to offer and apparently they use these ridiculous amounts to remove them out of the game, since there is too much stuff around.
-
This isn't even a JP, it's just some minor platforming. The game is full with this stuff. You can't expect a game for everyone...
-
My guess is 2022 given the circumstances and the way usually Anet handle releases and they like to take their time.
-
They barely can support some content with rather questionable and super old engine. Just forget about it. Wrong demography.

The french Rönögaaade is a pretty comples subclass. I use it as either groups buffer (alacrigade) or condi dps. The rotation is very complex and you need appropriate gear. If you don't have this, go for something different. Check the guides on metabattle or snowcrows page.
-
They still use DirectX 9. It's fucking hilarious. Its' 18 years old.
-
The problem is the nature of the game; a developer mentioned that due to the nature of armor choice - extremes would be Nomad gear and Berzerker gear - the damage discrepancy of an average player to a more invested players is not seldom 10 times. Imagine that. Doing 1000 DPS or 10000 on average. This means that your wet noodle fighter needs to fight 10 times longer!
-
Dude, it was 100% faster back in the days...

As with many franchises the name just remianed be cause it was known. GW1 was planned to mainly play GvG battles. Then later adding all the PvE stuff they retconned it a bit with a historical event called the guild wars (ppl already posted links) and for whatever reason they didn't want to add this in GW2 but the franchise remained. It was never really a good name imho, but who cares.
-
WoW had bullets until I think Burning Crusade or Lich King expansion (gosh is a decade ago). I liked it. Other classes had other money sinks. It added flavour. But in the world of (bit non-independent commercial) games I see only one direction: casualisation. So you won't see it here.

The game uses ancient tech, just don't bother. It seems it's the only "major" MMO not capable of going with a newer DX version than their ancient DX9. It's getting ridiculous.
