Good for you that you have a class that you 100% love. As for me, I absolutely adore GW2's combat mechanics but I've never had a class that I love perfectly. I usually go with Bards in RPGs so having one here would be perfect.

  2. I would comeback to this game fulltime in a heartbeat if bards became a thing here. It's my favorite archetype in RPGs

I think it's quite easy to implement too. As suggested, give mesmers a weapon that they could use as a musical instrument (shorbow as a harp for example) and give em shouts.

Every skill that generates clones would generate a clone that doesn't attack but plays a musical instrument instead that offers a stacking buff of something, and the shatters can be flavored as an "encore" where the bard and his illusionary bandmates would do a flourish and F1: deal damage, F2: give conditions, F3: CC, F4: make the bard invulnerable, while each providing specific boons to allies.

That thumbnail gave me a mini heart attack lol. good stuff

Mesmers could also use it as sort of a levitating weapon around them similar to how Xaldin from the Kingdom Hearts Series uses his spears. Would be a much needed power option for mesmers.

You say should as if it's a matter-of-fact. What are you basing this on? Final Fantasy?

    Lore matters. Sorry.

Lore-wise Braham took up his mother's bow becoming the first DH so I think it makes sense.

  6. If that auto attack projectile was a bit faster and staff 3 was changed to deal burning or confusion it'd be a good utility weapon while still having enough offensive pressure for condi builds. Would be nice if Mesmers could transmute Staff 4 too to spread random condis in an aoe, i mean it makes sense because eles can transmute the 4 elements because that's the magic they specialize in while mesmer specialize in chaos magic.

  7. Battle maul shouldn't even exist. The mounts shouldnt even have utility attached to it. Unfortunately, there seems to be a large portion of the playerbase (the zerglings who dont want to die when they're running to their zerg) don't want mounts removed because it made travelling the map risk free for them.

Pets mostly work but they have some quirks you need to learn to play around otherwise you will have a dead pet most of the time. All your skills will be utility skills so you have to time them properly too while other classes can use dps utilities. Fine in PVP and PVE, unwanted in WVW. And you be hated everywhere because kids are salty about anything the ranger has but they don't experience it when they reroll.

The ones in metabattle are fine imo. After trying out firebrands in pvp. I can say that they are one of the simpler classes to use out there. Dont be intimidated by the “rotations.”

    Sounds fun
