  1. Not specifically, no, though there are daily sale offerings in March and August. If you go to the wiki page for the item you're interested in, there should be a Gem Store History section that will tell you all the times it has been on sale in the past, and you can get a rough idea of when it might be on sale again in the future.

    > It would be helpful at the final champions phase if people didn't kill the champ so fast and give others a chance to get there. I noticed a 10 minute timer on each champ but he is usually down in under two min. Would this effect the spawns? It seems the next champ doesn't spawn until the last one is down.

There's an overall timer as well that means that if you don't take them down quickly, you may not get to all of them before the Dominion bombs you back to GW1.

  3. **Small dream:** A few more ranger pets, including a phoenix and maybe a crab.

**Big dream:** A collection/achievement instance with a library to store collected books, roaming pets and a mount paddock using equipped skins/dyes and the ability to Press F to Pet (possibly with customizable stall plates that would let us name our mounts.), an armory to display weapons and armor (legendary, T3 cultural, and currently equipped, perhaps), and selected achievements or maybe new ones. The library could have a world map or a globe that gets details based off map completing various regions, a portrait gallery with earnable NPC portraits (completing Knight of the Thorn for a Trahearne portrait, personal story for a portrait of the appropriate Order mentor, dungeon runs for the Destiny's Edge crew, maybe some Visions of the Past type things for others). Placeable statues to mark defeating each season's and expansion's big bad and other key achievements and/or some kind of trophy case. A display option for minis.

Basically, I'd like to have a place where I could take my character and get a visual sense of their overall progression, and I'd like to be able to take other people into it, so we can see what our friends have accomplished, and I can send a party invitation to every new player asking in /map what there is to do in the game and drag them in there and show them.

**Really big dream:** A portrait system that would allow commissioning of portraits _of_ friends (with their consent), _with_ friends (up to 10 total characters, to accommodate static raid teams), with a plain/simple background available for gold, and that would let everyone in a portrait buy in for a copy of their own. Additional backgrounds could be sold for gems, though I'd like to suggest that the gem price stay low to encourage more frequent use. I'd like these to be displayable in either guild halls or the individual achievement instance as outlined above.

There should be a painter available in the open world, probably in whatever safe-city area we visit at the beginning of the new xpack, but it would also make a nice guild hall upgrade option, and as incentive to get the upgrade, it could offer a background matching the guild hall for gold instead of gems, as well. I'm not sure about the logistics of personal vs. guild hall decoration assets.

Caption plates with the option to include character names and date would be nice. The ability to include a brief title would also be nice, but people would probably abuse that, and I'm not sure whether the fact that it would be in limited instances would balance the need for moderation at times. Clicking on a portrait would bring up a larger interface window with a clearer image and the caption plate, but the displayed item would be a lower-res version without readable text. An option to save the bigger version for wallpaper would be nice. Ranger pets equipped at the time of the portrait should be included. I don't know about minis--there are a gajillion of them.

And as a final all-stops wishlist item for this system, I'd like the ability to do a portrait with multiple characters from my account.

  4. Adventuring 101 does seem to have a bug where sometimes it does not give credit, and additional runs don't fix it if you encounter it. I ran into it once in the first couple of days this year despite doing all the required (normal or tribulation mode - did normal) and recommended (stay by the chest until automatically transported; do not enter a shop while the timer ticks down) things. I sent a bug report, and I remember seeing someone else talking about it, but I don't remember if that was in the lobby or here on the forums somewhere. I have a very fuzzy notion that it was also an intermittent problem last year.

  5. I very much appreciate the care shown to the voice actors that make the game come to life, and also that the episode will be released on schedule, anyway. I look forward to replaying the story when it's safe for the actors to perform, and it will be very nice to have some new content to play with in the meantime. I wasn't planning to buy gems this month, but I'll be doing so when I log in tonight in a modest demonstration of support for doing the right thing.

  6. Three days is pretty average at the best of times, which these are not. It will depend a lot on what your ticket is about. Something like buying gems on the wrong account and asking to have them moved to the correct account takes little time, if you can sufficiently ID the transaction and the accounts. Something like account recovery takes longer. I'd give it another day, then if you still have no response, you can update your ticket (don't send a new ticket) politely requesting a status update.

  7. I really enjoyed the way that this release recalled the pattern of many original GW missions, especially the mission bonuses. It's enjoyable to pug right up until the Forgeman, at which point it's a coin flip, but when there are at least a few people in the group who understand how to use the tank, I find it a really satisfying fight. There's enough challenge to require a little attention to where I'm standing, so I don't dodge roll off the side, but I appreciate the forgiving waypoint for when that happens.

I do agree with the people surprised that armor repair is not an available upgrade, and I'm still hoping that a portal scroll is forthcoming at some point.

    > Well ok, nice to have as a summer festival the "Dragon Bash" again among us (even in a winter map and without a dragon slain) but the real summer festival was supposed to be the "Festival of the Four Winds", what about it?

It should show up in July, which is the first month of the third quarter. This announcement primarily focuses on the second quarter.

  9. Whether or not it's worth it depends on a couple of factors: how often you'll receive deliveries, and what you plan to do with the contents.

Do you log in every or nearly every day?

    * If no, then it is probably not worth it. You only get deliveries on days you log in.

    * If yes, then you will get all or most of the possible value, and it might be worth it.

Do you plan to make more than one legendary precursor via the Legendary Weapon Collections and crafting?

    * If no, the possible total value is somewhat lower when comparing the time and effort needed to obtain geodes versus that needed to obtain other currencies.

    * If yes, then the Season 3 contract will almost certainly "pay out" for you in value in geodes alone when set to Dry Top & Silverwastes.

Do you use a lot of either Unbound Magic (Season 3) or Volatile Magic (Season 4)?

    * If no, then the long-term value will be reduced, but the short-term value may still be of interest.

    * If yes, then setting either contract to a map with a currency that can be consumed for U/V Magic will add up to about 2000-3000 passively gathered U/V Magic per month when logging in every day and converting all map currency to magic.

Do you have a lot of alts to kit out in ascended trinkets and back pieces?

    * If no, then the primary value the map currency has is for converting to U/V Magic.

    * If yes, then the 2-5 map currency per day adds up to around 100-150 passively gathered for a month, but this value ends when you've kitted out all your alts.

The crafting material, food, and utility drops are nice bonuses, but they do not provide the bulk of the value of the deliveries.

  10. The pet being stowed on dismount does affect core ranger, though it can usually be (possibly "could have been prior to the latest update") summoned during combat when that's the case. It's been happening for a while...long enough that I can't remember when I sent a bug report about it, but it's concerning to hear that it's becoming less stable.

That's the updated instance I was referring to, though it was difficult to make that as clear as I'd have liked without giving spoilers.

  12. I'd be interested in such a feature building on the most recent development, though I would want a place to display legendary equipment and ranger pets as well as a mount lounge area and a bookshelf and a miniatures display. Perhaps if the display sections only appeared if the player had something that could be placed in them, or if which sections to display could be customized, that would solve the "empty cabinet" problem.

The HoM stone could still give access to the original version of the instance and the features there. I'm assuming we'll be getting a portal scroll for the updated instance when Visions starts.

I see what you did there. ;)
