  1. So, after checking the whole situation several times.

I do agree with letting Ms. Price go, but Peter? No, that I don't agree, I don't think he was rude toward the community, he provided his input and defended his friend, even though he might have choose poorly in this situation.

I don't think they should have been weighted the same in this situation though

I hope Peter returns to Arena Net some day in the future as he is a decent man and a very polite person.

  2. It did succeed and brought a nice new flavor to the game with the mounts. It could have used better rewards for hunts and metas at release, and to be honest, it felt way too easy.

But we're just starting the expansion. Let's see this same question when this expansion is near it's end.

you're missing the point here. It's not creating a thread complaining such content exists that will stop Anet from making those. It's simply not buying them. If you, your friend, and other players don't buy the skin lootboxes, there is no point for their marketing team to push this strategy forward. That's all

The rotation is not difficult and your focus at the start should be keeping vault buff up for your Staff 2 without interrupting final Auto attack hit for it. You'll also have 3 dodge bars + Weakening Charge evade to help you escape some free hits. I'd advise keeping P/P as secondary weapons in case you can't reach the boss or a short bow for movement

As informed before, the P/P would be for situations where he won't be able to reach the boss, it doesn't provide valid dps for an entire encounter. One example is on Keep Construct after the red/white orb phase ends and the boss will spam cone AEs providing debuffs to players on it's meele range.

  5. Wow this is still ongoing. I doubt, you'll even get a dev reply here. They won't develop a DPS meter tool. It's easier for you to see the Trade function enable than a dps meter. Not even WoW has an official inbuilt dps meter and it's been running for what, 11 years? Game Devs know how feature like these can hurt the game if made official. The decision to use and create these tools falls to the community and how they want to play the game.

Also, ArcDPS won't steal your credit card for being a .dll overlay tool in your Guild Wars 2 folder, while at it.

Don't take it the wrong way. I was saying it with the best intentions. There is a 4 page thread of people whining or defending dps meters so I just didn't want your argument to be see in a wrong light :)

I dunno why you used the word gravity though as people will just believe you have a negative opinion before reading your argument. How about "importance"

    > The Existence of DPS meters is the byproduct of Elitist behavior, and since people already "filter groups" with the 3rd party software, I have no idea what your objection is. Anet hs worked with the modder and accepts that DPs meters are part of the game, as such, they may as well be a PART of the game, not some hackneyed mod.

    >

Wrong. DPS meters and logs are suppose to help players analyze their performance and group performance to verify what could be improved. maddoctor.2738 provided a pretty nice complement explanation regarding the reasons why you won't see an official dps meter.

  10. I wonder how many of you here actually played or play WoW... "Whaaah the 7.3 benchmark is balanced!!!". After 10 years, you're actually getting balanced numbers, but guess what? It's for Patchwork fights, where you can stand still and dps without a worry in the world. You know how many fights you have like that in Tomb of Sargeras? None, you'll always have to dodge mechanics, dps adds, and there are also cleave mechanics. Do you think these numbers stay like that?

  11. Oh yeah. Add an official tool where players can take it in the wrong direction and use it to filter group composition and ensue more elitist behavior. I wonder what could go wrong. ...

This is best done by 3rd party because it can become a divider and hurt a lot the community of the game. When done by a third party developer, the game developer's can simply wash their hands and leave the decision to the players, so a tool like this will never, EVER, be developed by ArenaNet. If you're getting filtered from group, it's not because the developers provided an official way for players to do so, but because the players themselves did it and decide it. So no blame falls on ANet for community toxicity and elitism.

We could use the build/trait saver though, which a third party developer was able to do. That's a different story

  12. So in short OP wants GW2 to become WOW. It's comparing bananas with potatoes tbh, both games have different playstyles, and aside from the tech suggestion about having boons to apply to squads instead of groups to give other spot to other roles in the raid, I couldn't find anything else more useful.

Ironic though is the fact that GW2 always stated it was a game without the holy trinity and a pseudo trinity had to be assembled so raids could be doable as they are of now

  13. The processors can either be Intel® Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz or Core i3, or an AMD Athlon 64 X2 or better

You can try comparing your CPU with the recommended ones on cpuboss.com but other than that, I believe the cheapest solution would be asking someone that has PoF to attempt playing the game at your PC.
