Honestly, I don't think what they've told me really addressed the issue. It is completely on their side and not mine nor anybody else since this is affecting multiple players. Try resetting your host file in windows (look for a tutorial on youtube or Microsoft website on how to do that) and see if that solves your issue at least.

I live in Philippines and i don't think i am closer to where the EU servers are located. This is the first time i am getting high latency after they moved the servers from Central US to Eastern US (i believe it's amazon server). I also used NA keys to register my account, bought it from the gw2 website itself. Been playing since beta days..

Alsp, can someone explain why my game client is connecting to EU server where in fact i play in NA (blackgate)?

I saw it after going to task manager, open resource monitor and under network activity.

Any updates on this? Is Anet going to do something about this?
