    > The thing is that PVE is played more and there are probably more people who do not like WVW and therefore want other access to some only-wvw things. I would for example defend any thread where someone demands a second way to get the GOB. While I personally don't care about WVW, since I don't like WVW, but I wouldn't care if WVW also has ways to get their stuff without having to play PVE.

Your argument for supporting other methods for obtaining the Gift of Battle is also invalid.

Legendary weapons were implemented with the intent of showing a mastery of each aspect of this game, with the notable exception of sPvP. Previously you required full WvWvW map completion _in addition to_ the PvE map completion, then ArenaNet removed this requirement to cater to the non-WvWvW players.

The method for obtaining a Gift of Battle is unlikely to change so either:

a.) Get behind it and actually play the game the way the developers intended you to play it.

    or

b.) Don't bother with legendary weapons and go for their ascended equivalents.

  2. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the product. The key is in the naming. It is not called "Countess Anise's Attire" but "Exemplar Attire". Whilst the description references the Countess' clothing, it does not explicitly state that it is a like-for-like copy.

For me, it would make sense for the outfit to be different from the Countess' outfit. She is the _Master Exemplar_, indicating that it is a rank _above_ Exemplar so subtle differences in clothing is natural.

  3. Not a chance. Absolutely not. Why should ArenaNet remove one of the key reasons to get out and explore the world?

I love exploring on alts. Reminds me of areas that I have not been to for ages. Additionally, selling gifts in the Black Lion Marketplace would simply add another element of P2W in this game. Legendaries are top-tier weaponry (yes, I know they're the same statistically as Ascended weaponry), therefore their gifts should not be available for money.

Yes, I am well aware of the first generation weaponry being available for gems if you convert them to gold. I have hated this for years but there is nothing I can do about it. However, if my comment helps to prevent the gifts becoming available for gems, I'll take that as a small consolation prize.

TL;DR: No, you can't have them in the shop. Play the game. Stop looking for shortcuts.

  4. DRMs are keeping me away from the game. I see absolutely no point in returning to this game until a new direction is brought in. They are incredibly dull and boring.

Thank goodness Genshin Impact is here at the moment.

  5. Legendary weapons require input from all aspects of Guild Wars (with the exception of sPvP). The Gift of Battle is there to encourage you to experience other aspects of the game instead of PvE only, though you can PvE the entirety of the 20k points for a GoB.

I've made two weapons, with the intent on doing another, and I look forward to the change of pace that WvWvW provides.

It is unlikely to change. Simply stick with it and find other maps to play on. As someone mentioned previously, there are 4 maps (Borderlands) to choose from.

  6. I am focusing on the remainder of the Icebrood Saga and looking forward to the expansion End of Dragons. I am not even thinking about what is going to happen afterwards because that is _so_ far off from now.

I think that you should stop putting unnecessary pressure on an already-pressured studio. It is not fair to the employees that work bloody hard on this game.

  7. 1.) This is not a subscription business model. The studio need to have a reliable cash flow in order to continue development and support.

2.) You are under no obligation to spend any money on this game.

Please jump out of your box and attempt to understand business.

    Thank you.

  8. The expansion will breathe some new life into the game, as did Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire.

Guild Wars 2 feels very much the original 2012 version in a lot of ways. However, it feels different in a lot of others, which is healthy.

Overall, I am happy with where Guild Wars 2 is and I am excited for the future.
