    > I play a support druid in our 25-30 man zerg fort the last year and half and everyone in our group loves the druid play and sees the benefits first hand. Yes I have played FB Scrapper, Tempest but if YOU actually played and learned a druid and how a druid can helpful , druids are way better in wvw then people think, but ill keep enjoying my build and surprising people with the druid play and keeping close in cleansing to a scrappers only be off by 10-15 and you guys keep crying and crying and instead figure out a way to make it work and truly going through the wiki and clicking on skills and see what the skill has offer then the base text. Your a team not one player, you all help each other out. People are forced in scrappers or fb and then get fed up because its the worse intro to the game period. . I out cleanse FB because there so focus on there tomes and after those 8 are gone then what? Hoping for virute 2? or shield 4? Scrapper yeah you got purpose of purity ? When as druid I am placing two to three different cleanses at a time, with reg and swiftness. I read these forums time and again and people still complain about traits and how trash pets are. Last night we ran 2 druids and had 20 man invul condi clear heal with gylph of the stars, so that one spell that kept majority of zerg up with cd of roughly 40 seconds..Yes you need run and cast it and cant dodge or interrupts it but if you know the game well enough you can last the whole cast time and its refreshing after battling zergs larger then you and ur teammates are knowledge that Glyph of the Stars is making difference, the constant reg and the constant water fields. You really understands how CA works, then every time that 8-10 sec ICD comes off you should CA already and inform...If you understand how the energy works in relation to moving and casting I can constantly coming out of CA with 2-4 seconds left to spare, with enough energy to allow me get out of CA and not lose the perfect amount and right into staff 5 into staff 3 and cause MASSIVE reg water field and 2k reg crits and i am pretty much at CA cap within 3-4 seconds again and 3 seconds until CA is free. Yes I have 3 second down time, but I have cleanse on my staff that i always roll out for cleanses during that 3 seconds and drop staff 5 for reg and heal. Its how you manage your time and understanding your class. People complain you gotta stand still and heal for the CA AA...How about I rarely ever use the skill 1 and use skills 2 3 4 and 5 is for the big bomb, so I rotate between skills 2 3 and 4 in CA ...if skill 2 is 240 yard range I know how my group works and place them correctly.. If you run the Verdant Etching trait every skill in CA which everyone says is kitten actually leaves blossom out that cleanses and heals whether I spam skill 1 or 3 I am constantly cleansing and healing and leaving blossom ahead so people are hitting them. I zerg on a druid 5 days a week 3 to 4 hours a day and enjoy it a lot. I have been reported for hacking because I out cleanses two firebrands in party the other night because they didn't believe me a druid could be played. I am not a one trick with this I have several different builds I play according to the blobs and fights...I have cleanse and immob build, pure healing build, condi heal build. I have full reg druid build, that dishes out reg constantly ALL compete at high rate. Ill be recording more footage this week and next week to show some people who have been asking me about the build and have been trying it and loving out. My in-game is above if you have any questions

    Hi there.

In regards to the videos you spoke of that you were creating, do you have a YouTube channel or something for us to view those?

    Thank you,

  2. Hi there,

I'm always usually playing the support role, whether I am solo joining world events, or doing map completion/living stories with my gaming buddy. Is Diviner still the most suggested stat to go for when it comes to buff support + solo times? Or will Commander's still be a good route to take?

I haven't gotten to the NPC that sells the Diviner recipe just yet, so if the Diviner is indeed better, should I just make my way to that npc instead of using Commander's?

    Thanks in advance.

    >

    > Scourge dps has been nerfed so much it is not very good in PvE, instanced or open world. Best PvE bet for me is to play a hybrid of support (barrier + heal) and whatever dps I can manage. No reason not to bring Epi in open world zerging, either as the newer content frequently has adds.

    >

    > Small shades are more flexible in use. No shades might be better now but I am still experimenting, when I log on, that is.

So epidemic would generally be the reason to go the condi route rather than power? I like the sound of the support that you mentioned as well. Is that condi based for the damage as well?

  4. Hey there everyone,

I was curious about Scourge. When it was first released, I was having a good time with power Scourge every now and then. Is power Scourge still viable in PvE? Or is condi Scourge just dominating everything?

Also, I'm aware that you can sort of play anything you want in PvE, but I am still interested in viability.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi there,

Being someone who tends to naturally be a healer and "bard" type character in games, I was curious if druid is worth playing for open world/boss fights/sometimes conquest? I see there tends to be a lot of complaints about it on these forums, and I do not see too many in-game. I tried Soulbeast and unfortunately I am not a major fan of it. I know druid is not a major damage dealer, but it would not be too great if I was just tickling a random Warthog.

It was also to my understanding there was a change that when you heal someone tagging mobs, you get the credit of tagging the mobs as well? Is that still ongoing?

    Thanks.

  6. Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. I have a FB for zergs but I like the burst heals from Druid. Reminds me of my days of healing in past games.

  7. I was just curious if Druid is one of the specs (when it comes to support/healer) that is kicked to a "Miscellaneous" portion of a squad when joining one in WvW? I noticed specs like Deadeye, Dragonhunter, Holosmith, etc. are pushed aside.

Should I start the malice stacks as I'm running towards the mob? Or right when I begin attacking?

  9. > @"Belishine.7493" said:

Is that because of the malice build up?

    >

    > I have played a number of DE builds in Pve. You can get away with single target type builds such as P/p with rifle but it can be difficult with multiple targets. The best of the lot for dealing with those IMHO is the s/p build using DE spec. The Rifle s/p combo is quite effective. Quickness loaded with PW can wreck an enemy group. The off hand pistol can also blind.

Ah, I see. I was avoiding the class somewhat because I could only imagine myself shooting down a group of mobs one at a time while trying to stay away lol.

  11. Deadeye seems like fun. I was interested in making one as a sort of side class to play on days where I just want to step away from my main class. It looks great with the Legendary weapons too.

However I am interested in how Deadeye handles PvE with all of the single target skills. Just cleave with sword?

    > >

    > > I've gotta start by sayingthat I think the initiative system is a cool idea. But in practie I think it has failed. It has led to a system where it is impossible to balanec thief skills. You simply cannot balanec weapons skills against the abilitt to cast them back to back, multiple times.

    >

    > Even looking at it from this angle I think it is possible to balance: you build modifiers into skills to promote combo-ing skills together rather than spamming a single ability. Each ability would remain spammable on its own to a lower effect. Full or improved effectiveness is locked behind sequencing different skills. If done right, you could even build multiples of these chains into a single weapon set for an even more dynamic playstyle. It almost feels like this is what they aimed for and along the way missed the mark.

This is a nice idea. It would basically be incorporating a bit of the design made for assassin in GW1.

  13. I love playing scrapper. I just wish that the gyros (when using Final Salvo trait) had different fields per gyro when destructing (i.e. Bulwark = ice field, Purge = light, etc.). Having 90% lightning fields without mortar can be a bit... off.

  14. I've been noticing a small but steady increase in scrappers lately.

Are they a bit more viable now? Or are people just trying to find a good build to bring them back?

  15. There is something I've always been curious about, but never really paid/gave attention to when it comes to combo finishers.

It is to my understanding that projectile finishers can be tracked to a target. But, how does whirl finishers work? Do the bolts randomly target allies/enemies within a certain radius, or is it more of a luck of the draw thing where the bolts go random directions and you just hope it hits something?

I miss my Paragon. The nostalgia was strong after seeing all the Paragons and Dervishes in Istan.

  17. It isn't as bad. I would avoid scepter and staff though. In my opinion, the attacks from staff and scepter are slow paced even with the clones (unless you choose to go condi). One handed sword with OH sword is a more fast paced combination since the OH sword phantasm is pretty strong with a low CD. GS #2 is good damage with a low CD as well.

With the phantasms rework, you can use shatters more often without having to wait on the attacks from the phantasms.

With high numbers of targets, your phantasm is likely to only hit your primary target once or twice, reducing your expected damage by a factor of 6 or more.

And this isn't just "oh a single target fight like Matthias" because fire tornados and ice patches and whatnot are valid targets for the phantasm to waste axes on. I'm talking cairn, aaaaaand that's it. Just cairn.

    > > > > >

    > > > > > Yeah that's true, its damage is divided because it randomly hits stuff, and not just the boss, but what other off-hand would you use instead of Focus? You can argue that using Pistol instead would result into more reliable damage. Haven't tested Pistol myself, but Focus off hand on Power Chronomancer ain't bad in real scenarios. It still is ranged damage on a very low cast time, in addition to its really good pull.

    > > > >

    > > > > Yep, for damage you take pistol. Obviously the pull can outweigh a hefty amount of damage incompetence if you need that control, but you rarely need that outside of random open world stuff.

    > > >

    > > > Focus pull isn't only used on Open world, most Fractals would benefit from having a Mesmer pulling mobs together. Some raid bosses as well, VG and Samarog helps out the group significantly.

    > >

    > > Well in raids you should have 2 chronos with focus already, so it's not an issue there. In fractals you've potentially got a point, but I'd argue that if your group doesn't already have a boon chrono you'd be better off playing that instead of phantasm dps.

    >

    > Since the changes to fractals and their instabilities, you'll never know when No Pain No Gain shows up. That significantly makes Chronomancer DPS great just because how much Disenchanter can help out a group without boonstrip and even a group with a boon Chrono, it helps them because they wont have to hamper the group's Alacrity and Quickness uptime due to having to lose a utility slot for the said boonstrip.

Does the pull have a good effect on the break bars for bosses? Or does shield/pistol still have an advantage with that?

I tend to play a support/dps chrono in spvp. I like shield but it still feels a bit bulky. The CDs are a bit annoying too I suppose.

Would it have some use in spvp? iWarden has a nice range with the axes that can cause a good amount of pressure on points maybe.

My goodness... what in the world were they going for with this idea lol.
