This game is poorly optimized and even with DX11/12 it wouldn’t support multithreading, DX11 and above does support multithreading, but core game doesn’t, so it wouldn’t have any effect about that, it would improve performance a bit, but not by much. It would be nice, but I doubt it will ever happen, they would most likely have to build around a whole new engine and that won't happen anytime soon, if at all.

Something really random here, but its generally overlooked as well, have you emptied out your cache files? I have heard some people never checking it and their computer isn't set up to automatically remove but I know of some people that have had issues because they have a horrid amount of files just sitting there taking up space, just a thought xD

Your CPU is fine, it's your GPU and Ram that is most likely causing your issues. GTX950 has 2G Vram and you are running on only 8GB. You can run settings on high, and live with the issues you are having with it (blackscreen) It is a reasonable GPU it isn't the worst, but there is better, since Ram is cheaper, I suggest giving yourself at least 16GB ram (which imo is just the normal now)

And yes I use to run GW2 on 8GB Ram and a GTX960 and I didn't have the same issues are you are having right now, but that is because I played it on medium to low settings =/

I upgraded to a gtx1060 and 16G ram and I have no issues with the game at all (only server side issues and my lovely (normal) ping of about 220) lol

Let their minions have natural health degen, like the minions in Guild Wars (ofc summoning minions out of thin air in this version still makes no sense to me BUT...) make giving the minions the same properties as they were in Guild Wars, once summoned they start losing their health, and if not healed by the master, they die, in combat or not.

You need to make him 'Chef's Tasting Platter' , and you have to make it in front of him (ie: on the kitchen he set up for you inside your home instance)

Have you gone to the Black Lion Exchange Specialist in any major city or lounge to trade them for an updated version at no cost? That might be the reason why, but I am unsure.

Was stuck in a completed pvp match and it kept reloading us into the same 'finished' map. Now that I have been thrown out with a error message, It now shows that the Ranked match is in progress, so can't queue either now

What Anet does as a company is up to them. But IF they were to EVER think or bring out a Guild Wars 3, I really hope they do it alone like they did with Guild Wars. Guild Wars 2 just screams out NCSoft

I was helping friends out with this and the same thing happened to me. It just gets really annoying because you have to do it all over again, and that mission is looooooooong. I gave up trying for the gliding achievement to this because it just got ridiculous :(

I don't get any major spikes (that I can see in-game) but that dang notice 'you have failed to connect to the game server' comes up constantly while running about, can't view TP, says I need to log in to view it .... because that makes a lot of sense O_o

So I am there... but just not there.

I personally do the dailies for the 10AP, not the gold. Some obviously do it for the whopping 2g, but I don't lol

I am not sure if this will help you or not, but I had the same issue. My computer would completely restart after a few minutes of playing the game, and it was the only game that it would happen with. Now I know in fact that my PSU needs to be upgraded (it is getting on a bit) I am in the process of looking at buying another. My short term fix was to drop my graphics down to medium. This has stopped it making my computer restart completely so far.

All other checks were made bla bla - Wondered if it was indeed the game itself, but it plays fine on my partners computer which he built new about 6 months ago.

I know people are having this issue, along with countless other problems since the xpac has come out. And I really feel for those that have bought the game and can't even play it :(

You really need to put in an invisible ceiling for this mission. The fact that there are achievements regarding the gliding part is bad enough, but getting booted out of the instance completely is just irritating and time consuming. Either shove a ceiling in, or take out the achievements.

I had left this because of this reason, and then today realised it still having this issue. Pain in the rear end.

Race? I don't much care about... Class though, if they made Cantha the next xpac, I would love to see Ritualist and Monk be included to play.

Ritualist only because the 2 classes that were made extra in the Factions Campaign was Rit and Assassin (well we already have theif) and even though some have said that Revenant was basically a Rit.. I just don't feel it.

Warrior Monks would be awesome, obviously not full healers/smiters like in Guild Wars - because there is no Trinity here.

I would prefer classes over race (but that is just me :/ )

You can only change the stats that are on the ascended piece - not the actual piece itself

The only thing that I don't like about them, is when I, myself don't take note of the time - in the middle of doing the heart and BOOM !!! - My little chest pops up aaaannnd RESET... which ofc also resets the progress done on the heart at the time. Every. Single. Time.

Yes you would think that since I have done this more than once, I would make a mental note of the time before pursuing

completing a repeatable heart... but nope... I don't LOL. I just sit there and go... ugh what a douche -_-

It was probably going back about 2 years now. I honestly doubt they would even look into it again :/ I was SO angry at the time dealing with them, and I stated it must have been a file error on their part, because how else could I lose characters when I didn't even have access to the game and didn't even know what had happened until I decided to play again. At the same time asking where are all the skins I had ?? To which I got 'oh well if they are on the characters you deleted, then we can't help you.... 'characters I deleted ????? ' Grrr still makes me mad now -_-
