  1. I find it difficult to answer that. Personally, I find PoF a pain, because the amount of foes (up to every little corners and even at WPs), is spoiling the pleasure of going there for explorable. I don't care to kill, foes are not so hard, but it's just so much boring to me - even fastidious - to have to do that every 5 steps I do. I have stopped returning to those areas due to that (of course, I can cross safely on skyscale, but that's not what I mean as exploring LOL). All in all, for me, in an expansion pack, there should be areas of all types, each offering same level of content (not only the hard ones). GW2 is a game with a wide variety of players and ways of playing, and the expansion pack should maintain this variety. Personal opinion of course. :)

  2. Too many choices and none really matching. For me personally, I believe that it depends a lot on player's mood, objectives, needs and external boundary conditions (including real life obligations that will determine how far we're in peace and how much time we have)... All in all, I can summarize it that way: if I need to be solo on one day, I play another game than GW2, that is no RPG.

However, as a complement: on my opinion, others around are never a disturbance. If one wants to play with you but you feel to be solo, then you can just gently tell him/her. We have a good community in this game, with respect (apart from some trolls over weekends). Also, if you want to be solo, there is no obligation to answer to those asking for help. And at the top of it, in this game, players are no counters to each others (if you cut a tree, it's still there for others who want to cut same tree), so we're really entirely free of our way to go without to bother much about anything around us. Sort of full freedom. :3

  3. I voted no.

Anet is overloaded with tons of things to do. Cosmetic effects is just one thing out of several others. I would love that we can turn off cosmetic effects freely, but to my eyes, it's a "nice to have" and doesn't have the highest priority compared to other issues (I don't name any because no need to start a debate on where are highest priorities). Anet knows perfectly well what players are all complaining about. They have a constant eye on this forum and on reddit where the same is also discussed regularly. No need for more. At the top of it, I believe that a boycott action would be very detrimental to the game and in the end, the negative consequences would be for us.

  4. I want a new class, typically the ritualist that we had in GW1 (that came with Cantha at the time). I want a huge world with several large areas, allowing for exploring, many treasure hunts, at least one JP that is a "real" JP (with jumping on feet), and then maybe a different type of JPs, needing mounts. A new race would be nice, but it's less realistic. An interesting story. A content that doesn't simply rely on repeating again and again same events. And first of all, most important of all to me, a change to WvW so that WvW can resurect!

There would be many other things, but it would be too long. Those above are the main to me.

  5. A 1 from my side.

I liked somewhat of the prologue in Grothmar. After it, I disliked about 80% of the content. With the last episodes, it's up to 100%.

I had not finished the "Truce" episode when the new one "Power" came out. I did only first step of this new one and stopped. I didn't complete several of the mastery tracks and it doesn't bother me. Since I play GW2 (since beta), it's the first time that I let story business unfinished and don't care about. It's no good sign.

However, I don't want to criticize because it's a matter of tastes and preferences. In my case, simply, this content doesn't interest me. That's all.

  6. Hello

I just started the Belcher's Bluff activity. Honestly, I get zero fun at it, but that would be one way to keep earning APs.

According to the different guides, I started first with Berddi (easy) and achieved to beat her, obtaining my first signature move "Back in my day".

The next easy one would be G. Beakerbane. Only the problem is that I don't achieve to beat him. All guides give the hint to use "Woo". Ok, nice, but I don't have that yet because it comes with a hard NPC, meanning for a later step.

Could anyone give me some hints about how to beat G. Beakerbane while not having the "Woo" signature?

    Thank you :3

  7. Hello

I did receive an email earlier, that seems to be from Anet, however with a bit a somewhat "strange" appearance and text content, asking me to click a button for a survey.

Listening to our community is vital to making Guild Wars 2. We'd appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out a short survey. This survey is an opportunity to influence our development process—your opinions will go straight to the ArenaNet team.

You've been individually selected for this mission, so please don't forward the invitation to anyone else. This is your chance to be heard and to help us make Guild Wars 2 the best game it can be.

Anyone else got that email? Is it a true one or a tentative pishing?

    Thanks for info

  8. Personally, apart from the prologue in Grothmar, I don't like the Icebrood saga. I gave up on completing mastery tracks, because I got bored. As for the last episode, I entered the Brisban instance and once there, couldn't find the motivation to do it. I stopped. My problem is a simple but true lack of interest.

It's no negative critic. It's purely a matter of taste. I don't like contents relying mainly on repeating same events/instances. And the whole saga, unfortunately for me, is almost that only.

I do hope that the next exp pack will have a content with more variety. I'm not too optimistic, because a vast majority of players like things that I personally don't wish to see, like typically more elite specialisations (no, not everybody enjoy that) and underwater content. Since it's logic to aim at what the majority want, Anet will probably focus on those. Let's hope the content is big enough to also include many other things, like nice treasure hunts, "real" JPs, puzzles, and most of all, egoistic me wants a major change for WvW! :3

  9. I agree with a lot of what has been said before.

    Personally, when I see that:

    - GW1, by far older than GW2, though still alive after all those years!

    - GW2 is very active after 8 years existing and still out of the best MMORPGs nowadays.

    - GW2 has a regular income of new players, sign of healthy game.

    I believe that yes, GW2 has a future. :3

  10. For me, that's not all of them. Matter of taste of course, but personally, I don't like beetle walls, ley-lines, wallows (tunnels) and throwers. I never use those unless it is made mandatory for whatever reason(s).

I like updrafts and mushrooms that I keep using regularly, for the shrooms, especially when they are in a row.

Skyscale is very far from being the solution for everything. It can't go into tight passages, tend to hang on whatever obstacles is on the way (tree branches, ...), doesn't have unlimited energy to regain elevation... All in all, I believe that as is now, things are quite balanced in game. I would just enjoy a bit more updrafts and mushrooms for the fun of them, like for example as part of a JP where mounts are not usable, or whatever that type. :)

  11. This reply is a bit special, I hope it will be seen.

**If you're a SEA player, new to the game, who contacted me per mail in game for an invite, telling he wants to learn raids, please read this**

Unfortunately, I was reading your mail and accidentally clicked the "delete" button instead of the "reply" button. I have now no way to reply to you. Please resend me a mail. Big sorry. Lu :3

  14. Hello, up for the day as we have a few free slots. :)

    Requirements are:

    - 90% representation (all chars, all activities).

    - Use of discord: forum (text sections) & voice channels.

We re-organize our weekly schedule. For now, we test a fractal day: 5 teams, 5 fractals tier 1, all on discord and we start same time. The first team completing the 5 fractals wins a prize. That's fun! =)

If you're interested, mail me in game or message me in discord.

  15. In the end, as said by someone before already, it's really a matter of personal preferences and tastes. The main characteristic of that game is to put together so many different types of players! It's due to its enormous content together with the fact that even one specific activity can be played with different approaches and strategies.

    Main facts are:

    - Content is bigger than before (tons of adds).

    - Original content has massively changed (tons of modifications and updates and balancing and improvement....).

Out of all that, I believe that OP would most certainly find something to enjoy. :)
