  1. ### Got more bugs for you!

     

    1. If you have equipped a weapon that you can't use, you can't change it's skin. Let me give you an example: Active equipment slot on my elementalist has warhorn equipped, which i can't use because my build doesn't have tempest elite specialization, when i go to wardrobe and try to change it's skin it just says "You can't apply skin to an empty slot!". So i have to go and equip a build template that has tempest elite spec then i can change the skin.

    2. When you are in your hero equipment panel you can see all sigils/runes and infusions on the left side including linked sigils, runes and infusions, but if you click customize on the weapon or armor you can only see the sigils/runes and infusions in your inventory.

    3. When you equip a legendary weapon or armor that has sigils/runes or infusions on it and there are already same linked sigils/runes and infusions on another equipment panel all upgrades get unequipped and replaced with linked versions. So if I want to swap stuff in and out and don't want linked sigils in my weapons i have to select and equip them again every time.

    4. If i equip a weapon/armor that is already linked, can you just leave at least infusions in it and possibly sigils/runes? So i atleast have something in them and don't run around with under 150AR and no sigils.

  3. Ye sure, just because you can't save up the gold to get it if you want it that much, we should put every drop that's attainable in-game and gives players prestige on the gemstore so theres nothing to work towards anymore.

     

    If it's too much work i guess you don't want it that much.

     

    You get mystic coins and laurels if you just log and if you really want to buy it for gems, buy gems and convert them to gold.

     

    Stop with these silly ideas.

    ## Rewards

    I'm wondering what's the incentive to keep doing it.

    As far as i know from what you've mentioned the rewards for all bosses are the same, aka random drops of gear and mats to craft the new weapons.

    Well it's only been 6 days and i've crafted them all, so what's the incentive to come back to the strike mission?

     

    Unlike this strike mission Grothmar Valley one can drop Ebon Vanguard Shoulder box, which is worth a fair amount of money so that's a lot of peoples incentive to keep doing it.

     

    This strike mission doesn't have anything like that, yes you can craft the weapons and sell them, but they're not worth much, because they're so easily attainable.

     

    Rewards definitely need to be reworked, so people keep coming back to it.

    I wouldn't want this new feature to be left behind when you see people aren't playing it.

     

    ## Strike Raid

    Also, they could be a bit harder and possibly made into a raid.

    If it's so hard to make new raids cause of the man power, why not make CM versions, add all 3 bosses into a raid wing, and give them some good rewards. That way you would have a nice stepping stone from strike missions into raids as people could learn the bosses before they enter into harder version of them in the raid.

    And we would finally have more raid content, hopefully more often.

  5. It'd be fair for you to give us more detail on how you will adress these issues, since we're going to have to wait this long.

    Because the way it's described it's not possible to figure out how you're gonna address it.

     

    Also i don't think we need to give much more feedback, you've got 14 pages of feedback which not all is addressed in your post.

     

    And remove build template stuff from the gemstore, because monetizing the way they are now is not ok.

    I actually disagree.

    This kind of implementation wouldn't be good for longevity of the game.

    The only thing this game has progression wise apart from fashion wars is gearing your alts.

    So either you have some inconvenience and swap gear or work on gearing you your alts with ascended gear, which honestly isn't hard to get.

    Having account storage would just make even ascended drops worthless.

    Thank you for responding.

     

    I would love to know if with legendary gear you're taking into consideration swapping weapons from your inventory on the fly to adapt to a fight, which on linked weapons resets all the upgrades and stats.

     

    I think a lot of legendary equipment issues would be solved by you letting us export equipment templates so we can save it in a text file, just like build templates. When we import the template just throw an error or something if any piece of gear is missing or just load what is on the character. It would make experimenting with gear so much more enjoyable. At this point the only option we have is to write everything down and then click on every single piece and customize it again. Since there is no in-game equipment template storage.

    Just saving it would make swapping all gear not just legendary between characters much easier. You just take gear off move it to another character, load up the templates into the equipment templates and done.

     

    It'd also be nice to know if the fixes for bugs like with revenant, signets, and other things are getting addressed together with that or is that a higher priority and will come sooner?

    Main reason we want a response is due to how broken things are, there are so many bugs that it looks like they haven't done much QA testing.

     

    Will it be fixed and when will it be fixed, there's so many issues, revenant completely broken, signets not having passive effects when swapping to a build with them, traits not taking effect, issues with mantras, that's just from the top of my head, there's many more.

     

    It'd also be good to know whether issues with legendaries is how they intended it to be or is it something they "overlooked", tho i don't know how you can overlook something that brings longevity to the game, since ascended items drop like hotcakes.

     

    And every day we don't have a response and they don't fix it, the more people spend gems on the feature (tho i'm sure that number is much lower than they expected, you can see that from the gold to gems price, it didn't really budge) harder and harder it'll be to roll back if roll back is necessary, but at this point it's on Anet to correct things even if at the end of the day it means refunding all those peoples gems to actually bring something that brings build diversity. What we have now is people playing less and just sticking with one game mode because implementation is so awkward to use. And as others mentioned a lot of people have decided not to spend gems till we know what the stance is, me included.

     

    We have patience, but it's not gonna last forever.

     

    Be ready to see constant flow of posts in this thread, because even if they decided to unsticky it we won't let it sink and be forgotten.

    Why even let us set the name of equipment "templates" if you don't use it and we can't save them?

     

    That "activating template" is so general! Like which "template", build, equipment, slot 1, 2, 3 of what????

  10. It's funny when they said that build templates will bring more build diversity.

     

    What it did for me is that:

    * i only use 1 template so i can use legendaries as i did before, which is better than using the new system.

    * I don't go to PvP because builds don't switch and it just made everything more annoying. Feels like i need to make a char specifically for PvP now.

    * and when i go to WvW i use PvE build because if i don't i will forget to switch and run around PvE with WvW build.

     

    Yep build diversity. Before i played with 3 builds, now i play with 1 and i don't play PvP anymore.

  11. It was quite obvious on release that people didn't like the implementation. You could see it in gold to gem price.

    Every time there's a new mount or anything cool or useful gold to gems jumps at least 10 if no 20g for 400 gems.

    With introduction of "templates" the price was maybe 1-4g up max which tells you people weren't buying many gems with money or gold.

     

    It's sad that this big of an issue is not getting a proper response.

     

    And to make it worse in the introduction of new mastery in episode 1 they even go and mention "With Build and Equipment Templates, this exploration and experimentation is easier."

    I mean cmon, can you rub salt into the wound more Anet!?

     

    Just respond already, you're making this worse every day!

  12. The funny part about equipment templates is that if you want to switch between weapons in a build for different scenarios you have three options.

    * Either have an equipment template for each weapon loadlout, which is kinda silly.

    * Open equipment template each time you want to switch weapons if they're linked between templates, which for legendaries means selecting stats, sigils and infusions.

    * Have tons of weapons in your inventory, that can't be legendary, due to stat and sigil issue. And swap from inventory.

     

    All of these defeat the gains that were described we gain with templates which are inventory space and convenience.

  13. My suggestion for fixing some of the issues would be:

     

    ## Needed changes

    * You need to make legendary gear worth going for, as it's a long term goal that keeps some people playing. Ascended gear drops a lot from all content and if you play fractals or raids you don't ever need to craft any of it (i personally haven't crafted a single piece of Ascended gear).

    * Fix the issue where people with legendaries can't swap weapons without the legendaries popping out all it's upgrades and stats. This is a big issue, especially because this does not happen with ascended gear so ascended gear has now more features than higher legendary tier gear. At the moment people with legendary gear are forced to play with one gear template and keep everything else in the inventory, because that's the only way to keep this feature.

    * Let us export gear templates to a notepad file, like we have with build templates. This way people with legendary gear (other gear as well of course) can prepare loadouts and import them when they need them, at the cost of it not being as convenient. I would limit this so items have to be in either gear load outs or in characters inventory. I don't think there's a need to have a way of sharing account bound gear between characters without having to go through your bank.

    * Ability to use these templates as actually templates and not loadouts. Give use a button we have to press to save the changes we made to a build and one to revert changes, so if we don't like the changes or make changes on the fly we can revert them easily.

    * Give visual indication what build and gear loadout you're swapping to, when using key bind. At the moment the game only tells you you're "applying templates". If for instance you have legendary armor you won't see what build you've changed to with your character, as they will look the same, same as with build templates. You give us ability to name build and gear templates, show that name on the screen and not just "applying templates".

    * Give us either templates by game mode or ability to set which builds should load when we enter a certain game mode.

  14. As much as i feel other people have mentioned most of the flaws, i have to put my 2 cents in just because this implementation of templates is not good.

     

    ##Overall issue

    There should be a way to link build and equipment templates. I've by accident swapped my build from reaper to scourge, luckily before the strike mission boss i swapped my weapons and saw my bar being gray. So i opened my build templates fast and changed it before i got in combat, else i'd be fighting the boss with only a staff.....nice...

     

    ## Build "templates"

    * build templates as many people said are loadouts not templates. We need a way to revert changes we made to a build. The way it's implemented at the moment i have to remember my build, because if want to revert it i have 1 of 2 choices:

    * Save the build to Build Storage and load it back every time, which is also limited by 24 slots of build storage.

    * Save it into a notepad and load it from the notepad.

    Sorry but this is not convenient at all. If you have to quickly change something in a fight and then revert, better to just memorize your builds.

     

     

    ## Equipment templates

    Ok, this one is just implemented with major flaws.

    * You can not save or export build templates! So if i make any changes again i can't revert my changes, whether it be changing a few pieces of gear or weapon or trinkets.

    * You've given us the option to copy Equipment templates between equipment templates, but you have not let us save them outside so we can import them later. **This is where you've cut corners in my opinion.**

     

    ## Legendary gear

    You've made legendary gear pointless.

    * One of the reasons is that we can't change a few pieces in an equipment template and then revert to previous setup without remembering what every piece was setup as (stats, runes, infusions,.....).

    * Now for the best part about legendary gear. Let me give you an example. On my Elementalist i have 2 Equipment templates set up, one is power and one is condi. Both use the same legendary sword(sword is linked between both templates), one set up again as condi the other as power. I come to a part of the game that requires me to use a ranged weapon so i switch a staff from my inventory by doubleclicking on it and replace my current weapons with it. When the encounter is over or when i have to switch back to sword between encounters i have to go into my equipment templates, unequip my staff, select my sword again, the sword is now condi stats(previously power), with no infusion no sigil, so i have to open customization, select stats, sigil, and agony infusion(which if i don't and were in fractals it'll screw me over majorly) and apply that to my template. And this is just with one weapon, if both sword and off-hand are linked i have to do this with both.

    * Hot swaping weapons on the fly is much better with ascended gear because you will rarely have linked gear which means you can just swap it from your inventory as you did up till now.

     

    With legendary gear you've given me two options. Take all my legendary gear off my main, put it into the bank and take out all the ascended boxes(which people who play fractals and raids have tons of) or use only one Equipment template and play as i have up till now.

     

    Giving us more bag space is not a major feature. We're used for equipment wasting bag space, and with the unidentified gear QOL feature that isn't even a problem anymore, because your inventory will only be clogged when you're opening bags and i can tell you that'll happen with or without additional gear in my inventory.

     

     

    As someone said Equipment templates at the moment are worse the more you play, as more legendaries you have worse they become.

     

     

    **Also i don't think casual players will be buying equipment template slots, because they don't need it and people who play a lot and have legendary gear won't buy equipment templates because they make the usability worse. And due to making legendary gear pointless instead of new legendary weapon or armor you've freed up around 2500g when someone wants to make a legendary and with that gold they can buy as many skins of that weapon as they like or swap them to gems and that way you make nothing.**

     

    I could go on and on, but this post is too long and drawn out as is, all i have to say is I'm :dissapointed.

  15. Only gold times for HoT adventures have had times extended which you do not need to do at all, all HoT related masteries require 144 points and there are 198 available. So it is about the AP and sense of accomplishment. And legendary collections if they required you to do adventures you needed at least silver, gold was never the requirement.

    If you are going to use these kind of things as your arguments, at least do some research.

     

    One this that you also have to consider is you can not just sit there and try again and again, As you have to wait 2 hours+ for each try.

    And if the times are as random as they are you can easily fail it by doing nothing wrong.

     

    But continue to defend your thinking, i put ahead my opinion on it, you have yours.

    You have to differentiate coordinated group content like fractals, raids, dungeons, etc and open world content where anyone can come run by and do whatever they want. I don't mind coordinated group content being extremely hard , i like challenging content.

     

    Yes i have tried to form a map, explaining mechanics long before the fight and even after that and people joining there's still a lot of random people who don't join on doing it or just say "good luck with that!". And even on maps with a lot of people doing it the length of break bar phase is too short which leads to 90% of break bar phases to fail. If the timings are as random as they are due to other attacks or events that make the break bar phases unpredictable it doesn't matter if you explain well. It also doesn't help if you set it so people jump when they see the break bar as the phase in a lot of cases ends before your bomb hits him.

     

    I'm don't think they should change the achievement, i'd be happy with the break bar phase being a few seconds longer.

     

    They have adjusted HoT adventures by a huge margin, and all those gave was a bit of AP.

    Here you have a skin hiding behind 2 achievements for break bars. So adding a bit of time to a break bar phase to still make it viable with less people willing to do it i don't think would be that bad.

     

    If it was just AP i wouldn't care that much.

  17. These achievements need to get fixed, they're really hard to do even with World Boss Rush event going on.

    One problem being not enough people listening when people are explaining, but a bigger problem is that the break bar phase is too short and to an extent random, as the timers when the break bar happens are not set.

    If you wait on the pad to see the break bar and then jump you're in most cases too late as the break bar phase ends before you manage to hit him with a bomb. So either learn the times by heart and additionally learn how certain events that happen like crystals affect the time when the break bar happens or don't succeed. And even if you learn all that it's almost impossible as you'd need multiple people knowing it.

     

    We must also think of people who will want to get the backpiece or just achievements even after this World Boss Rush because then it'll be pretty much impossible.

     

    Please Anet look into this when possible!

  18. The rift system is great for introducing back old content due to it being tied to the mists. The old content being replayed there cold be explained as the mists seeping out through these rifts and replaying stories from the past. Or make it as you have it in Jahai Bluffs where you have bubbles where old stories are on repeat and spawn events in one of those. Either of those solutions shouldn't be too much work.

    For instance you could easily use it for Marionette fight. You spawn a rift, give a map wide message with map marker and spawn the old event.

  19. I'll start by saying mount skins do look nice, but the RNG aspect of acquiring them puts me off buying even one. My RNG in this game has always been bad in 5 years of playing i haven't gotten one precursor and even when spending tons of time and money in the mystic toilet still no precursor, which leads me to mount RNG. I do not want to buy tickets one by one just to be unlucky and not get the ones i like especially because i could save 30€ buying the 30 bundle because there is a chance i will have to get all 30 to get the skins to get the one i want and spending 120€ is way to steep for me, which made me decide i'll stay with default skins, at least untill you give us a way to somehow pick the ones we want.
