  1. Thank you all for explanations and suggestions.

I will go with Parallels, as it seems to me that with Bootcamp it would be both annoying and a big waste of time to have to restart the computer every time I want to play.

Then I am not a proper gamer, GW2 is in fact the only one game I play, and I prefer a quick access and switch to Mac environment when I need it.

Windows may also be useful for other use in the future.

So basically I'm going to try the Parallels configuration, that is more simple between the two, to understand if the performance degradation will be acceptable to my way of playing, that is not a top one, and if not I will seriously consider the recommendations about a configuration with Bootcamp.

  2. Asking for advice as owner of a 2018 Mac Mini Intel, 512 Gb, 8Gb RAM.

Assuming that unfortunately I have not enough space left on the internal Hard Drive to mount both Windows and the game, I came to select the following configuration:

Parallel Desktop; an internal SSD disk, 250Gb, NVMe M.2, inside a case with usb-c cable to get close to maximum transfer rate of 3.500Mb/s.

I am no computer expert, so I want to ask if you think this configuration could allow me to play smoothly or not.

And eventually if the 250Gb is enough or if I'd better get me a 500Gb disk.

  4. I just would know about the timing.

Will it be a black out or a gradual loss of interactivity?

Knowing this will change a lot my current strategy to enjoy the game till the end.

On January the 19th I converted most of my gold into gems, so if things will go on smoothly for a while, at least I will be able to buy things at the TP, just for fun.

This uncertainty is however taking away the pleasure of play.

  5. I just bought a new Mac Mini, 2018 model, Intel UHD Graphics 630, OS Catalina, 3 GHz Intel Core i5 6 core, RAM 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4.

I can't see the trees in GW2 lands, where I know for sure they are, for sure, as I now regularly bump into them.

I played last four years with a Mac Mini 2011, and trees were all there, I can swear :-)

I am not into computer technology, so I haven't the faintest idea about the reasons or the origin of this issue.

No issues took place with different apps.

The Mac is brand new and with warranty, so I would much appreciate you to help me identify the issue. If it concerns Mac graphic card I will take it to Apple care.

    Thanks!

  6. Yes, I agree, as I wrote I use to build Guardians with Ogre runes (power+ferocity+rockdog, love rockdog, it helps a lot as it distracts mob). Focus on armor Diviner's stats (concentration), food and utilities (concentration too), (zerk ) Diviner's GS and Sword+Torch., final resultl is about 75% Retailation, and I like that.

I think I'm going to try Revenant runes for a change, in the end :-)

  7. I'm intrigued by the idea of using Runes of Revenant in building a new PVE Guardian.

I was calculating that the sum of the points guaranteed by the Runes of the Revenant (+78), plus the points of a food like Dragon's Revelry Starcake (+ 45 and + 20% Magic find) is +123 stats for each Attribute. I have several Guardians, all of them are based on Diviner's stats and Runes of the Ogre. I feel very comfortable there but for once I would like to vary. What do you think about it? Is it an idea that can work or is it nonsense? Thank you.

  8. :p It's to show the Holographic weapon I chose, meaning that I still don't understand how I got weapons choice -before- I complete any of the two set of achievements (still wonder about this).

So, I managed to do everything with Moa races (and a bit of patience)

    Thank you! :)

You have been really, really helpful.

I think I would have left things as they were and quit the Festival without your directions.

I just left behind the Ice Beast because it is, at this point, marginal.

    I disagree with this words.

There is no evidence that the rollback is going to be final.

Anet may wanto to try to restore the natural Timeline.

If they do succeed in the attempt, we will loose all that we do ingame since hours ago.

So, I will not keep playing until Anet will state its intentions.

    > We all lost time invested in the game, some sort of re-compensation would be appreciated as well.

Coming to this, I did not loose anything, they did.

I will not accept any "some sort of re-compensation".

I have the right to have back: 1200 gems, the 375 gold to buy them, the PoF upgrade.

I am willing to forget the acquisitions of gold and objects obtained during the game in recent days.
