  1. Last time I asked, they did it. It was about 1 or 1.5 years ago. Must dig it out.

EDIT: Here it is, right before lockdown ... [https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/97977/its-time-for-another-double-wvw-xp-event#latest](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/97977/its-time-for-another-double-wvw-xp-event#latest)

The last one was some time in the summer if my memory is correct. The lockdown one (the second last) lasted 2-3 weeks.

  2. Repair finally succeeded on the sixth attempt (do not run anything else, do not let the mouse leave the windowed area of the repair tool, do not click anything ...) but it didn't fix the problem. I still have only about 5 minutes of play time before the graphics driver crashes again.

    Please investigate and fix, Anet.

I should clarify, this happens in WvW. I have not tried other game content yet. And it seems to be only in Alpine Borderlands.

  3. There seems to be a problem introduced with tonight's patch and the latest (461.40) drivers from NVidia. Or am I the only one who has graphics driver crashes every <5 minutes of game play? No clue what it could be, but 461.40 has been stable for me since it was released Jan 26.

    Anyone else having issues?

I am running a full repair just to check, since there is no NVidia update available.

(I do not have ArcDPS btw or other addons.)

Further edit to add: Repair is simply not working. It just stalls forever. No clue what to do now.

  4. Snowden Drifts CM is too difficult for the average player. Pugs do not seem to have dodge as an "oh shit" skill. You can complete the other 3 CMs even if people fail hard, but Snowden Drifts you cannot. And so I wonder if the design is off. I can see both sides of the debate, but I guess that means people have to get used to failing Snowden Drifts CM.

  5. A very interesting thread. The OP got me thinking and with the help of GW2efficiency, I pieced together my highlights for 2020:

9 legendary weapons (7 for keeps and 2 for sale)

WvW legendary medium armour (to complete the WvW set)

PvP legendary back item and amulet (my first real entry into GW2 pvp)

    WvW legendary ring

another go at PvE raids, this time much more sustained (started in Jan, still going strong)

    2021 plans:

3 legendary items (rifle, longbow and PvE raid ring) to complete 1 of each weapon type and all trinkets for the coming legendary armoury. Hope it works as we all hope/believe/wish. I also hope that this inspires me to "progress horizontally" and learn classes I rarely play

Legendary Runes + Sigils are on hold. Maybe the armoury will make them useful/worthwhile, but for now I do not see the value

End of Dragons and LWS5, of course. I hope EoD will be more engaging than PoF, but it looks like LWS5 will be a slog

other plans remain to be determined (32 slot bags, PvE raid legendary light armour, another agony + stat infusion set from fractals, accumuating enough Gaeting Crystals to buy the Dhuum armour set + chair + staff ...)

  6. If you have loads of extra time on your hands ... and plan to buy the expansions ... and want to unlock all elite specs in the first 1-3 hours (or less) of the expansion ... get all 404 extra/unused HPs in the game on every class before the expansion goes live.

This is a nice "project" for those who think & plan ahead.

I did this in advance of PoF going live and, since the very first instance was bugged and PoF was unplayable on launch, I spent the first night simply unlocking all the elite specs on all my characters. And the next morning (EU) when the game was playable, I was ready for all content (story & open world & WvW for me) with all elite specs.

  7. In no particular order of priority:

    1) Legendary Armoury as described without any gemstore functionality (i.e. I do not have to pay to unlock slots or to make gear available to other characters or to use the system).

    2) Changes to the build load-outs/templates/whatever system to remove gemstore functionality.

    3) EoD with enjoyable, balance elite specs that do not need me to use "too many buttons". I am never going to be dextrous enough to be a piano player and do not want the game to make me feel like I am not good enough because of it.

    4) EoD with engaging story + maps that does not seem rushed or cut short (i.e. PoF story and HoT story both seemed like they were slow for a long time and then came to a swift conclusions).

    5) WvW Alliances working as described and intended.

    6) Please NO player housing or fishing. These activities stop large numbers of people from engaging in group content. TBF, I always enjoyed fishing in WoW, but it stopped me from doing group content for hours on end.

    7) An engine(?) that can either handle the graphics overload or switch it off so I can see what I am fighting in PvE + WvW zergs.

    8) A fully resourced team for WvW (and PvP too -- new maps & modes).

    9) A fully resourced team for fixing all the old bugs and annoyances, and updating old content to make it engaging (incl dungeons, raid bugs that have never been fixed, legendary collections, etc).

    10) Updated daily quests to include elements of the new content.

    11) No server performance issues, no matter how old or new the content is (PoF maps jump out as a key example, but LSW3 and 4 maps should remain free of issues after the expansion too).

    12) Some quarterly-ish updates on EoD features Anet is working on (not asking for promises, but tidbits that hopefully confirm some or all of the above and maybe some hints at the features thereof).

  8. I have played a heal firebrand in raids for quite some time, probably earning 300-400 LI (of 600ish total) in the role. I am normally a 1 class player, and want to branch out to druid in raids. Horizontal progression is the end game, after all, but I am a bit of a late-bloomer and have never played druid (at all). I do not want to step into a raid, claiming 600 LI with a class I am not experienced in. I know the mechanics of all fights, but not the specifics of what a druid has to do in those fights.

So I am looking for advice on content to play in order to start from scratch as a druid healer. I have the build and gear, of course.

  9. One additional consideration ... a lot of people have no clue what to do after completing story versions of the three DRMs because the story just stops and the instructions are as clear as mud. Now, most of us have figured it out after 3 days, but I fear there is a lack of enthusiasm due to this.

And let's not overlook the sorry state of the Champions LFG. This is a huge mess and nobody seems to be fixing it, or even acknowledging the problem. What happpens when all the "weekend warriors" log in and cannot figure out how to do the content?

  10. It is even worse when 1 person leaves after 2, and you want to do the third. You have to convert to squad before using LFG, and make sure that everyone in party also joins the squad, move off to some part of the same instance, convince the 5th person to join your instance and get them to stand nearby, drop squad and then invite all 4 to your party.

Instructions are hard, it seems and people have difficulty doing all this. It is **incomprehensible** that this has not yet been fixed.

  11. I feel ripped off that a home instance node (50g + 245k karma) is dropping grey junk. Surely this is a bug.

I can understand (maybe, sort or, kind of, perhaps ...) they might want to limit the currency drops to 1 per day (okay, actually I am not certain I can, but whatever) but the grey junk must be a bug, surely. How could it possibly be justifiable to have grey items, 10 copper value maximum, dropping from a home instance node?!?!?!
