Actually depending on what server your on, it is OVERPOPULATED; especially when Anet limit the amount of people allowed on one map. There are still BLOBS afer BLOBS after BLOBS and unfortunately if you have a big guild running you cant fit everyone on the same map because of the limit Anet put on it. (stinks). You must be on a server that is underpopulated and I suggest if you like WvW to transfer.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT merge another 3rd server with each other because NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO FIT IN THE MAP.

Since the balance of how many people can fit into wvw it has become less likely to join. Every map is qued, guildies cant get in the same map and it has become frustrating. Most guilds dont even run reset because of that reason. This test did not eliminate the lag issue in any way therefore I hope the testing is OVER AND DONE with the amount of people that can fit in one map.

Is this AnOTHER way to Kill WvW. When you are capped out and cant run with your guildies will stop people from playing WvW that they enjoy. Alot of us DONT like to pve and just press no 1 skill. This will NOT solve the lag problem in WvW. Everyone should just turn down their graphic card to None and see if its your internet. I have NO lag even on reset and we are qued.

lowering the amount of people i WvW will NOT solve the lag. It will only get guilds upset when all their guildies cant get in a map to raid. This is a good way to stop people from playing in WvW.

2 weeks ago my number 2 skill (sniff( worked on the warclaw. There is Nothing wrong with my keyboard because my number 2 skill work on weapons. I keep pressing the number 2 over and over; I even try to click it with the mouse and my Sniff or number 2 skill is not working. Is there anything I can do. Everything else works and I never changed anything in options. I just noticed the number 2 skill Doesnt even work on the New Strike missions when Im in the Tank for the Delves.

Is this a glitch or bug on my number 2 skill that I cant press or even click with the mouse. HELP

Wait.. did i really read it right, 200g to start the Warclaw Skin reward track. Is Anet joking with us again. Why do the WvW people always get it in the end. Are we not good enough. You know we dont make money playing WvW and we are lucky to get a precursor drop, now to spend 200g on a reward track for a warclaw skin. NO THANK YOU. This is really horrible for the WvW players. I will probably get a warning for this post.

I have a discussion on this also. I hear everyone on the map complaining about this one achievement and we are all hoping that Anet fixes it.

I really hope Anet fixes this for everyone on the map is complaining about this 1 achievement. It would be horrible to not get it to finish off the tier. Although I do hear some people got it but it was a fluke.

I have all the Trials except "**PLANT BANNERS TO CHALLENGE THE SVANIR** iI need it not only for the achievement but for the Mastery Point to finish training Essence of the Valor Tier 3. Is Plant Banners to Challenge the Svanir BUGGED or what..... if it is NOT bugged can someone tell me how to get it and where???

have also experience high pings since Wintersday even up to 5,000 ping whether in a populate area or not. Anet gave me some help and since I did this I have not gotten a high ping as of yet.

Try this out see if it helps you. I have been playing the game Under Guild Wars2 Windowed

To help us rule out a possible cause of your high ping issue, please try running Guild Wars 2 in a Window. This should allow the game to bypass whatever resolution was picked and from there, you can reset it to full screen in the correct resolution. To do this:

First, please navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder. By default, this will be C:\Program Files(x86)\Guild Wars 2.

Right-click on "Gw2-64.exe" and select "Create Shortcut."

Rename this shortcut to "Guild Wars 2 Windowed."

Right-click on this shortcut and select "Properties."

Edit the "Target" line to include -windowed at the end. Note: Please make sure -windowed is outside of the quotes-- Correctly Formatted Example: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe" -windowed -- Incorrectly Formatted Example: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe -windowed "

Once completed, click "Ok" to save your changes.

If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try Step 5 again.

Once completed, try starting Guild Wars 2 again by using this new shortcut.

Please let us know the results of this test at your earliest convenience.

Ive been having that same issue since Wintersday launched. I NEVER NEVER NEVER had a high ping before even while doing Meta or WvW. This is the first.. Sometimes my ping ranges from 49 - 4,000. Yes you read it right 4,000. It is NOT my internet service because this DOES NOT happen on my other games. Im just hoping this will all be fixed after Wintesday Jan 7.

Idoru please try the 2nd request i posted above. when you finish installing the game and it stops the launch at 35, close the game. the icon make a shortcut. and proceed with the ip address after the exe".

Anet has been giving this out and it has been working with everyone. It took me almost 9 hours to download the whole game (launches). So pleased when I woke up it finished to 100%. When It downloaded I deleted the Icon "Shortcut". Since then, I dont even have a high ping anymore or lag (wvw with zergs).

Hope you get it up soon, but really try the 2nd suggestion

Wolf I have been emailing back and forth with the GM and they are very helpful. I would email them (submit a ticket) and tell them you have a MAC. I do understand how you feel it is frustrating and annoying and hopefully when they come back from vacation it will all be sorted out. But in the meantime submit a ticket in support. I was one of many who had trouble NOT installing the game but downloading the launch past 35%. I did everything possible and still to no avail nothing worked. I was even streaming on the game to MAX with only 35% download and was difficult staying on one map to do anything.

I want to say SPECIAL THANKS to these GMs that really helped me out alot. They explained everything step by step even though I'm NOT computer literate; They spent 3 days with me via email helping me along the process.

FINALLY GOT the download so I want to share this with my fellow guild wars friends if your having trouble going past 35% here is the solution.

We all know to uncheck the QoS and if that didnt help here is THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION.

1. Open the Control Panel

2. Click the "Network and Internet" option, then "Network and Sharing Center"

3. On the left side of this window, click "Change adapter settings"

4. Right-click the connection you are using and select "Properties"

5. In the next window, uncheck the box next to "QoS Packet Scheduler" and make sure "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" is enabled by checking the box. If IPv6 is already enabled, go ahead and leave it checked

6. Click "OK" to save your changes

7. Now restart your Internet connection or restart the computer

8. Start the Guild Wars 2 launcher and allow the download to complete

If the issue persists after making the changes above, please also try the following:

1. Right-click the Guild Wars 2 shortcut

2. Go to Properties

3. In the Target field, add the following after the last quotation mark: -assetsrv 3.222.198.66

4. The full Target should look something like this (note the space after the quote): "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -assetsrv 3.222.198.66

5. Click Apply and try loading the game

Same here Shagie. after 6+ years playing Guild Wars 2 this is the frist time since December 17, Wintersday patch i ever had very high ping. It was so high at one time it went to 4,000. DO NOT,, REPEAT DO NOT uninstall the game the way I did thinking it would be fixed because YOU CANNOT launch the game past 35% downloading. Just hope and pray when Wintersday is over Jan 7 that it goes back to normal. Until now I feel your pain but I also cannot get on the game lol.

I am sure hoping this gets fixed when they come back from vacation. They have alot of work to do. They will also be losing alot of players and NEW players that want to buy the game if they cant launch past 35%. OH Well, Amazon :(

Installing GW2 is not the issue. The issue is "launching the game" and the download begins to download the patches. Awfully strange 80% of people having this issue it **STOPS** AT 35% and goes no further. It is past the playable stage and when you log on you are stuck on the loading screen for about **FOREVER** which means it is **NOT** Playable. Everyones computer cannot have the same issue, it has to be the issue of the latest patch December 17, (Wintersday). Thats when the high spike pings started and if you uninstall the game you **CANNOT** Install the patches.

Im hoping at this point, when Anet comes back from vacation and fixes why **IT DOESNT GO PAST 35%** WE CAn all enjoy the game again. So unfortunate because most of us is off from work (vacation) or out of school and would like to enjoy the game, but cant.

Anet i am pleading with you that you are all Ready to deal with this and figure out why **WE ALL CANNOT INSTALL THE PATCHES PAST 35%**

This is definitely Game and Anet related since the Patch December 17 (Wintersday) Never seen so many people have the same issue and this is a great way to lose people from the game if they cannot download it. Ive done EVERYTHING that has been mentioned. I even went so far as repairing the files before I start the launcher to download the patches. Im just hoping when Anet comes back from vacation that this is all fixed and we can download it smoothly. Im just sad because im on vacation and really wanted to play.

I am going through the same thing. changed everything, unchecked QoS. changed portals, everything.. The game installs but when it comes to installing the patches it stops at 35%. GM Apple Merchant has been trying to help me and I even sent her/him a diagnostic report. Im even repairing the files before I install the updates and still nothing. We are going to have to wait for them to come back from vacation. Its sad because Im off from work this week and would of loved to play.

It installs successfully, but when it goes to the 2nd installation (im guessing for the patches) it stops at 35%. What can I do.. Ive changed ethernet portals; disabled firewall; unchecked the QoS; cleaned all temp files everything out.. And still on the 2nd patch install it stops. Please Please help I miss playing GW2
