  1. I remember when on qT Necromancer didn't even have any listed builds for half a year - the class has been so terrible even the theory crafters deemed it so bad you're better off playing anything else. The class has always been the underdog, repeatedly kicked in the face and this kick? The shade kick? Why, it's like they've put on an iron boot with a spike. Revert this change ANet and stop wasting your time adding chairs to the stupid gemstore. Fire your balance team and hire people who have actually played the game more than five minutes.

  2. I used to be a necromancer main, back in the days of the base game and somewhat during HoT. Even back then, it was evident the developers really really spitefully dislike the people who play necromancer and truly get fun out of making our lives as miserable as possible. Remember base game necromancer? Back when condition damage builds were tragic because stuff only stacked to 25? I remember. A condition class where conditions sucked because every Warrior running Arms would overwrite your bleed stacks with their 5 second bleeds while running power. I remember.

Remember when we didn't have any cleave and dagger/warhorn with Well of Suffering was our only good setup for dungeons? I remember. I remember being declined from every group, kicked or just flat out under performing when compared to the Warrior stood beside me doing a 50k Hundred Blades every 4 seconds, capped at 25 Might. I remember.

I remember being terrible up until basically HoT was announced. Up until PoF IIRC we didn't even have two-target cleave on our dagger autoattack. "Oh, god!" I said. "A good necromancer build, finally..?" I loved it. Reaper was awesome. For once, I loved my necromancer. "SUFFER!" as I smacked mobs with a 25k gravedigger soon as they dropped sub 50%. Permanent 25 might, some good CC... hell, even stability! It was too good to be true and ANet knew that. You cannot know true misery without loss and so the nerfs began.

Again. And again... and again. Now Reaper is a shadow of what it used to be. Core Necromancer is... meh. Usable, but nobody would bring you into even dungeon story-mode. And Scourge? My god, Scourge only ever shined in WvW - it was merely decent or good in high-end PvE. It was never Firebrand level of group support tied with damage. It was never even Berserker level of insane condition damage.

I'm glad I swapped to Berserker shortly after the Reaper nerfs fell on us in HoT. I just knew in my heart Necromancer would never be up there with Guardian, Warrior, Thief and Mesmer. It was cool to be the underdog for a time, but all things fade with time - and the joy of trying to excel as something truly awful faded quickly.

  3. Title. Since we have the voice actors for the main characters hanging around, can we finally get correct audio for "To The Limit!"? My warrior will sometimes shout "I will avenge you..." like someone killed their puppy and I've tested it on all races. I don't think a voice line that reads "To The Limit!" even exists. Kind of stupid for a shout not to have a voice line, isn't it?

  4. I reckon that Revenant simply needs some utilities a bit like Glyphs for elementalists - skills that can be slotted no matter what legend you're attuned to and provide a slightly different function accordingly. For example something like this that I briefly came up with for the sake of an example

    Invoke Power:

Ventari: Aoe Burst of DMG around you that heals allies based on dmg done and gives regen

Shiro: AoE High Burst of DMG and might around you

Jalis: AoE burst of DMG and applies half a second of taunt, increasing by 20% in duration per target hit

Mallyx: AoE burst of light DMG, converts enemy boons into conditions and allies a bit of torment.

Glint: Burst of DMG around you and extends boon duration of allies around you based on the number of enemies hit

Kalla: Burst of DMG that extends the duration of conditions on enemies around you and gives you Kalla's fury for each target hit.

Something like that, a set of invocation utility skills that change based on legend but roughly have the same use no matter what stance. One for AoE, one kinda stunbreak with different effects, etc. They'd have to get creative obviously but they did it for elementalist with their glyphs so I don't see why Anet couldn't do it here. This way at least you don't have to ALWAYS have all of the two legends skills you're attuned to and you get a little bit diversity while still keeping your utilities to the theme of the legend you're communing with
