Hey man, interested, at work right now, but will shoot u message tonight
-
It shows you only have 89 games played, you'll need to play 16 more matches to hit min 105 game req to be on leaderboard. Note it'll go up another 15 this Tuesday to cap out at 120.
-
Keep doing what you're doing. 9/10 times the chat is either useless, or even detrimental for the team given some of the egotistical whining that occurs. Just type when you're down, or respawning. Keep it to alerting your teammates on enemy rotations.

I think my friend had this issue before. I forgot what exactly it was, but he had something checked in the visual options section. Unchecked it and the issue was solved. Sorry couldn't be more helpful in terms of what specifically to check, but it's def one of those things in the settings section lol

I haven't been as active in PVE recently, except when I find the will to work on vision, but if you ever want to play pvp or learn it. Feel free to shoot me a pm/mail.
Also, if you aren't already involved, finding a nice guild can be pretty rewarding as well.

Check out metabattle for some builds. They're both pretty effective for open world. For PVP and wvw I think herald has the advantage. Condi herald is in a really great spot in PvP right now. Easy to play and effective
-
PVE wise, GS still really strong, meta in pretty much all modes: Open World/Fractal/Raid/Strike
-
GS still viable in both PVE and PVP.
For PVP the big loss was the evade on autos, so you can't abuse the triple evade maneuver as well as the inability to throw gs on gs 4. However, in place of that you gained a 3 second block, and an aoe knockback cc ability. All in all, it still does its job as a defensive burst wep.

Sure, you're in luck its available in the gem store for 700 gems right now.

That's the balthazar regalia outfit with the helmet hidden.

I play a variant on the gods of pvp core build with a/a, gs and demolisher ammy. It's actually really great dmg, and much better duelist than sic-em sniper.
I will run sic-em if the map is really open and my team needs some extra mobility, though I default to core. Condi slb with swd/d , short bow is quite effective as well and catches a lot of people off guard. Druid is as stated above quite meh, but the imob condi spam build is pretty funny to play.

You can command your pet to be passive instead of aggressive. Then they won't attack at all.
Also if your pet comes out and tries to be aggressive, you can use the come back to me command to force them to heel. Though once you attack again they will attack.

Don't stress too much about picking a strong class etc. Pick something you enjoy playing. Unlike other MMOs, GW2 really prioritizes horizontal gear progression, so if you do decide to change professions, you can always swap gear between toons, given they are the same armor type.
-
If you like warrior, stick with it. Its not in a great spot balance wise right now, but that means it can only go up from here lol. Regardless, player skill/knowledge of a class trumps all so if you master warrior you will still be really competitive.
If you want something that plays similar and is in a better balance spot, try Ranger.
-
Get whichever one you will use more. Personally, I ended up making bolt over frostfang because the effects are nicer, and more classes use sword.
If you still want frostfang, get the inbued dragon bash version that's available right now. You don't get the ice effects, bit imo the model looks nicer. And it's only like 30-40 gold.

Over the past few weeks, been having consistent lag spikes of 2000+ ping. Extremely frustrating in pvp when everything stops moving, and when you come back, you're dead
-
I've had DC's occur once about a Month ago, but I've been getting lots ping spikes in pvp. My ping rate on average is around 40-50 ping, but it will shoot up to 2000+ every few min.

How would a condi variant fare for the build. Running sage amulet and sword/dagger instead of gs.
Maybe swap out nature magic for skirmishing

People talking about too few rewards, now there are too many rewards? Lol
Those people aren't the problem, it's just the population size. If we had enough players, we wouldnt have these issues where new players are suddenly matched into the same game as higher ranked players. We want to encourage more players to PvP, not discourage it.
-
Throwback to that druid meta long ago lol. I'll have to give this a test. I hate the Mota build as well. I think it's only strong in organized team play. There are better builds out there for soloqueue that offer more impact
What are the sidenode matchups like for the build. DMG pressure might be the only thing missing, but that might be asking for too much lol.

From a PVP standpoint, probably Sword/Shield Grenade Engi or Condi Herald. In the end, still comes down to player skill, but these three classes offer the highest margin of error.
For ranger, you have the bunker soulbeast build, and bunker core build which are both quite effective. There's also a druid build floating around, though I have yet to test it out.

I'd say in overall WvW, Rev is better as they have better team play potential. For skirmishes, I'd say Ranger have the edge as they have great sustain/mobility/disengage/ and damage
Ranger is prob the best or second best dueling class in the game right now

Thank You, I was not aware

I'm not quite sure what would work best, but I was picturing something like this:
https://images.app.goo.gl/CPTRVLn4tqq3skYo6
You can have whatever most common pings. And ideally it would relay on chat as well so you know who pinged
Also, might be a bit selfish but, if the ping button was mappable, that would make things even better
How are new players suppose to get into PvP
in Player vs. Player

Hey, welcome back! Sorry that was your experience thus far. It's for sure not the prettiest in pvp, but I'd imagine everyone should be happy for new players regardless of skill level.
I can't present any fixes to your solution, but my advice would be to ignore the haters and just keep improving your game. At the end of the day, the only variable you can control is yourself so focus on that. You're already taking the right steps, learning different classes and rotations, so it'll only be a matter of time.
Keep doing you, don't let them get to you!
If you need some pals for pvp, feel free to hmu in game, always happy to queue up with anyone ?
