Yes I killed numerous fire elementals during the fight all four times, however the wiki specifically states that the Everburning Coal is inside the chest after killing the shaman. I'm not quiet for sure which is right I suppose.

  2. I've been completing the specialization collection named Wild Abandon for the Ascended torch for warriors. I've spend days on this and now all I have left is the Everburning Coal, which evidently drops from the chest that appears after defeating Champion Drakin Cinderspire in the Scorchlands on the Iron Marches map. I'm lead to believe this from the description in game within the collection and even more so from the wiki pages. I've now successfully completed the event four times with my warrior (even though I don't think it matters if it is the warrior or not), and I still can not get the Everburning Coal to drop from that chest. And to make matters even worse, I decided to try again this afternoon and now the event is stalled/bugged and will not progress! I've waited a few hours and tried again and it is still bugged in the same spot. How and when can a stalled/bugged event like this be fixed? ALSO, why did the Everburning Coal not drop the four times I completed the event and looted the chest? I understand some items have a chance of dropping (such as the ones that are part of collections that drop from enemies), but how do you know if this also applies to this item. And if it does, then how unfair is that to have to replay an obscure and difficult group event over and over again until hopefully the item you need drops? I love GW and never will stop playing it, but this has really me in a sour mood and I don't even know what to do about it now besides vent on the forums and have hopes that maybe there is someone out that that can provide helpful information. Thanks!

Ok thank you, this worked. It took me a moment to figure it all out in the Logitech software, but once I got it, presto. OMG now I can have all mounts bound to my mouse. SO EXCITED lol.

  4. I've been gaming with a Logitech G203 mouse, which offered four additional buttons besides left and right. I just upgrade to the Logitech G502 HERO mouse. It adds five additional buttons from the previous mouse. When in Guild Wars 2, the settings menu will not allow me to bind these new mouse buttons to anything. I know I'm doing it correctly; I've been binding keys and mouse buttons on Guild Wars for years and I've had no problem in doing so. Strangely, in the settings it registers mouse button 1-6, but does not register when I click buttons 6-11. Does Guild Wars not support these additional buttons? I know there is nothing wrong with the mouse because the side buttons work correctly for whatever I program them to do within the Logitech mouse software (such as forward of back in a web browser), but then when I get in game the game acts like all these addition buttons are not even there when I click them. I'm sadden and confused. Anyone game with this mouse and/or know what is going on? Thanks!

  5. Dynamic event achievement completion log. Example to prove why: this event: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Slay_Gravekeeper_Hammon_and_the_fleshreavers. Who would ever come across this amazing little story. No reason to; no heart progression, no POI or map completion. I just came across it for the first time since launch by random. A Graveskeeper asks for your help robbing graves but then turns out he's just luring you there to kill you. He turns into a boss and spawns some enemies and you have to kill them. Cool, short little event. I'm sure there are so many more little gems that no one technically has a reason to experience out there that so many people miss. I know it would be lengthy, but I'd totally spend hours completing a dynamic event achievement completion log. I know some collections require you to play in certain events and I get that that draws people's attention to those events, but a full on completion log would really give players a reason to FULLY explore the world and breath life into dead obscure events.

Yes to this. You have to treat every map as if it exists within its own time. An example would be an intact divinity's reach dam, but then the same dam has been breached in the Lake Doric map. There are some continuity issues that have been left over from season one days where events really did happen in the world. Fort Concordia in Timberline Falls is an example of this where currently it has Mordremoth vines all over it and has been destroyed even thought technically that event had not happened yet in the time bubble that Timberline Falls exists in, but it does exist there nonetheless. Other exclusions to the rules would be anything within the side stories section. Those events are supposed to be current within their respected story timeline, but yet exist in the open world within maps that took place prior to their existence.

Makes sense. I didnt consider that it was just a temporary currency for the week long event.

  8. I reset Windows today and reinstalled the GW2 client and game straight from the website by logging in and clicking the download link. I left the game to download without any interruptions and it got to 93% and then stopped for some reason. Perhaps my internet went out or perhaps it was something else; not quiet for sure. In any case, now when I open the game client it still says that I have a little of 31 thousand files left to download and shows that it is downloading files and the files downloaded counter keeps going up. The thing is, the percentage never increases and it doesn't seem to ever finish. I have been able to play the game just fine without any issues so far. I just do not know if there really are still in fact files that have not downloaded yet or if there is some bug/glitch with the game client. Anyone else encounter this before or have any suggestions? I guess if it doesn't cause any issues then so be it, but I just don't want to run into an issue whenever it comes time to download another patch/update. Thanks!

Oh well then I apologize. Honestly, I do, but that just goes to show how passionate I can be about the story and I just couldn't believe someone would have posted a spoiler like that. Well at least my day isn't ruined now ha.

Wait, so this whole rytlock thing isn't true? I didn't even read the post, all I saw was the title and immediately lost my mind.

  12. I would explore my favorite parts of the world and take screenshots... this would inevitably be followed by large sessions of break downs and crying fits because I hate goodbye and I love the guild wars franchise and I would miss playing it greatly... I'd have to force myself to get into other games. Which is fine because I love video games of all genres. I'd have random nostalgia moments of looking back and being sad about it... This is how I feel with an old MMO called The Matrix Online... yeah it wasn't the greatest game and had many flaws, but it was technically my first MMO and it has been unavailable to play for many years and I feel sadden sometimes when reflecting back on playing it. The feelings would be greatly amplified for guild wars though...but unfortunately, everything that has a beginning has an end... (see what I did there?... no? Dang, maybe the nerds will lol)

  13. I used to dislike the griffon adventures until I became more comfortable controlling the griffon and utilizing its flying skills more accurately. Now that I've mastered the technique, I find the griffon adventures a lot of fun, even if I don't necessarily replay them that often. I'd assume most players who turn away from them are players who have not fully learnt how to properly control the griffon. But to each his own. I did miss seeing the griffon adventures in the new map, even though the two new adventures were fun and slightly challenging.

I'm not being rude, just truthful and helpful, but your spelling and grammar is very inaccurate. Spelling corrections in all caps....

So I have been doing AN account of the dragons for some time now but im wondering how MANY are left for us to get. So the first dragon is ZHAITAN, the necro dragon so that is one down. Yeah i understand they would never specifically say yes and when because of spoiler issues, but even a vague yes would be appreciated, or a firm no. And yeah, after so long of no answers and no content involving the character, there may in fact not be very many people who are still interested or even remembers. I still do on both accounts, but perhaps it'll always be a mystery. If the show Lost taught viewers anything, it's that we shouldn't expect answers on every question we have lol.
