    Thanks for your answer.

Wouldn't be easier if I could just pay for those skins? Or even wouldn't more enjoyable if I could unlock them with some type of content in the current game? I do not blame or anything I just cannot understand the logic behind a move like this. They could have it both ways:

    - For those who already played the precious game

    - For those who have not

    Both ways = both winners.

PS: Btw, I have linked accounts as I used to play the classic GW. Is there a way to check if I have some Reward Points?

  2. Hello to all,

In every MMO I have played, Rangers / Hunters seem to be my favorite class. That is why I started as a Ranger in Guild Wars 2. I really like the idea of having pets and especially more than 3 or 5 pets in your personal arsenal although we know that I am going to use some of them (1 or 2 in most case scenarios).

Now, that I am moving forward to Hearth of Thorns Map, I see that I am missing the following pets from the Classic map:

    - Black Moa

    - White Raven

    - Black Window Spider

    - Rainbow Jellyfish

which according to my research, the only way to unlock them is to play Guild Wars 1 (which I own) and especially Eye Of The North Expansion (which I do not have) in order to collect Reward Points... That is why I wanted to ask if there is any other possible way to have those pets. I didn't find anything in the store or in Gw2 wiki and I wanted to ask you guys here maybe I am missing something...

I know that those pets are simple re-skins from the already existed pets, but I really cannot understand why me, as a player who happens to love Rangers in every MMO, and who I have upgraded my basic Guild Wars 2 game and the 2 expansions all 3 to deluxe Versions I must have something locked, even if its about pet skins, behind such a wall.

I can understand ArenaNet wanted to "honor" players from the previous game, but what about those players who do not play Rangers? Why don't they give them some gear collection in their wardrobe or some other goodies such as titles etc. Why it had to be pet skins which all the rest players who play the specific class/profession uses them?

Am I missing other ways of obtaining them?

  3. I wanted to add here, that in my case the graphic card I own, was having a "conflict" with the software (TriXX) from the owner of the card Sapphire. I uninstalled that program and now I am very gland to say that my frames sky rocket. Now with Best Appearance Settings, I have Average 160 fps and in cities, world bosses 40-50! At last I can enjoy the game once more.

I just add this info here in case someone else may have the same problem as I did.

  4. Hello to all,

I wanted to share an recent experience and I wanted some opinions too.

My PC specs are Intel i7 4790k. 16 GB RAM, AMD Radeon Sapphire Fury Nitro OC+ at 1920x1200 resolution monitor. My average fps all around the world are around 30-40 with no Antialiasing and Native Render Sampling. All the other settings are maxed out. When I waypoint to Mistlock Sanctuary, Lion's Arc or I am in the middle of a boss fight in open world, my fps go down to 7-12.

Recently a real life friend, tried out gw2. His system is i7 2600k, 8 GB RAM, NVidia Asus GTX 1060 with monitor that supports 1920x1080. He plays the game at Best Appearance, Settings.

What makes me wonder, is that when we are questing in open world, when I have 25-35 fps, he has 120-130 and in cities when I have 7-12 fps, he has 30-40.

Even though I have a most updated PC than him, I really do not know what I am doing wrong and if the problem is my graphic card or my CPU. I came in here to ask for your opinion as I am seriously considering to buy new graphic card or CPU but I do not know which pc part to blame?

    Friendly

    > I'm thinking it should go the opposite direction. Don't make F2 skills that are only useful as sustain DPS, and focus them on higher utility, damage burst, or control burst. Most of the Core pets need casting times retooled anyway, so may as well put the effort into modifying the skills to better capitalize on the crap ton of narrow conditional bonuses the ranger has.

I will agree to that too. Maybe some well organised thoughts can create some combinations that will make the profession more interesting!

    > Also, the GW2 wiki can help you with finding them all! https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_pet_locations

    > No, ranges pet are for all rangers, all of them, regardless of your race, only expac pets are locked behind the expacs obviously.

    > As a new player you will have one waypoint to each races staring zone, check wiki the pets location, go there, tame it, have fun

Thank you very much for the link and the info! I believe Guild Wars 2 has the most useful wiki.

Thank you very much for the info as well, I will have my eyes open for those pets.

    > Rangers are the exception to the rule in this case. The equipment the other professions choose (mostly head and shoulder gear like the warriors helm or pauldrons and the mesmers masks) is unique, you can't get it in-game. (Which is why I spent the night the Wardrobe was added making and deleting characters to unlock them all.) But I guess because the ranger gets an actual pet with at least 1 unique skill instead of just a skin they didn't think it was worth making unique ones for character creation.

Yeah I figure that part with the other professions as well. Seems like creating and deleting is the only option to unlock all the available options.

  7. Guys thank you ALL so much for the replies and your thoughts.

After reading some builds and watching some gameplay Videos, I am leaning more to

    - Either Revenant with Dual Wield Swords and Armorsmith + Weaponsmith as crafting disciplines

    - Or Engineer with Dual Pistols as Leatherworker + Huntsman

After I will max out those 2 crafting disciplines I will then learn Jeweler and Cooking.

I know it comes down to personal preference but is anyone of these 2 professions more "lovable" when it comes to PvE and PvP groups?

  8. Hello Guys,

I am a returning player who used to play Warrior back when the Guild Wars 2 first launched. I never got into the end game at that time but now I have returned and I bought both the expansions as some gem cards to invest into it. I feel like it is a whole other game now, but one feeling stayed the same: Guild Wars 2 feels a lot different than any other game out there and the community is by far the best I have meet in the looooooooong run of my MMO career as player...

So, first things first I wanted to ask your suggestions about a class which, letting the learning curve out of of this discussion, to be able to

    - Dual Wield either Swords, Daggers or Pistols

    - Be competitive in the end game scenarios (PvE and PvP).

    - What crafting professions do you think will be the better combinations with your suggestions above?

    - Are there extremely viable crafting professions that need to be leveled no matter the class I play?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. I have just returned into the game and I thought "what the heck is happening?". With my older pc when gw2 came out, my humple gtx 680 could run the game at 50-70fps averange without Antialising. But today with a far better machine I have 18-21 fps constantly! No matter the changes I do to the graphic section, they seem to have no effect on the game:

Graphics to the lowest details: 23-25 fps

Graphics to the maxed details: 18-21 fps

So, I do not think it is the hardware... I was thinking to buy both of the expansions and enjoy the game once more but I believe this have to wait until they address this issue... Too bad though, it seems like a very nice expansion the latest one...
