  1. Hi ! For your first combination, depending on the class it could be a good idea to replace Precision with Ferocity, a lot of power specs has %critchance bonuses and fury is straight 20%.. Could be a good pick for Revenant which can double the fury effectiveness to 40%, for exemple.

Not having Ferocity at all on a power build is like doing 2 times less damages, and Crit Chance is easier to grab outside of the gears.

I used to love Toughness but because of its diminishing returns and the fact that Toughness is a No Go for some end game content, it made me avoiding it completely.. I personally think that Toughness overall deserve a rework.

You can't make a Power variant of Trailblazer because condi only needs 2 stats to be optimal, Condition, Expertise, the rest doesn't matter.

Power variant would be Power, Precision, Ferocity, Toughness, Vitality, but that is 5 differents attributes....

When it's not all about DPS, Condi builds has it better since it can combine maximum condi dps while tanking Vitality and Tougness, It is not balanced at all.

I definitely like your second combo, soft CCs deserve some love... (Maybe not in Pvp tho).

As a player that loves to make builds and optimizing setups depending on my needs, I would like to see more available choices..

  2. Erm... Just one critical Nope exemple for a condi build : Firebrand + Zeal + Radiance + Virtues (almighty Permeating Wrath)... Unless you want to be able to destroy anything in Tyria playing solo, It's not that good of an idea.. But as a player that loves theorycrafting in mmorpg before everything else, I can understand where you are coming from, the actual meta is boring as **Kittens**.

But the fact is, a lot of "non-meta" builds or bad builds goes from 0 to WTF if you dare adding one extra Trait, or even one extra Minor, and it's not really consistant between classes, so you can't apply the same rules/restrictions to each of them, It's a good Idea on the paper but I doubt Anet will bother to do that, It's a huge amount of work.. And we don't know yet which direction they will take for the next extension specs (if there are any).

  3. If all these players complaining about Trahearne played GuildWars1, It would not be the case.

Kittensss, Kormir in the last Nightfall missions to the abaddon fight, she's just here like, " I follow you but I'm not going to participate in your fights even if you'r next to me dying ".

And then, at the end, takes all the glory, became a Godess, and tells you " It's your world, take care of it" or even " You'r not fighting alone ", and kitten leaves you alone, you and your efforts, not even a thanks, nothing, she caused all this , you fixed all, and she just go doing her godly manicure.

Yes I hate Kormir, that, much. Trahearne at least respects you.

  4. Hi ! It's really a good thing that you'r looking for improvements and checking your different options.

On topic, with the correct build and setup, (berserker and even marauder) your greatsword & Longbow autos should already hit for ~7k.

Now I don't know if you like to play as a Soulbeast, it actually has the highest burst opener in the game (50 to 60k with all buffs) around 25k alone, but of course it's a burst so it falls quickly, but stays on par with the average dps for longer fights.

Problem is, to reach these numbers you can't have both greatsword and Long Bow, since Dagger/Axe is mandatory (Whirling Defense is the best ranger's damage skill).

But if you really can't stand Dagger/Axe on your Ranger, which I can understand, knows that as a Ranger you can bring Spirits to your party.

With Quickness and 25 Might stacks you can expect to push at least 15k during fractals/dungeons using Bow/Greatsword, It's not that high but I guess it's the price to play what you loves instead of what performs the best, you should be able to do well in most pve content, except for some raids Pugging, of course.

Little tip, try to avoid pugging instanced contents if you are playing off-meta builds, better to play those with friends/guildmates that know how to deal with / compliment it, a lot of people in pugs get really salty when they are dealing with a dps that does 2times less than every other dps (which I can understand too).

  5. Something that don't makes me fall flat on my keyboard one day after its introduction..

Silverwastes was the perfect balance between team work investment, organization, mechanics and rewards and the replayability was on point.

Too bad all night long chest farming squads died little by little.. Good Ol' memories !

  6. Ironically, she "had to leave" one month after she learned about a mount bug for some users..

    https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/66904/about-the-mount-bug-not-loading-and-character-stuck-sitting-in-the-ground-a-band-aid-solution

Spoiler Alert : It's still not fixed.

I lost all hope to see this bug fixed one day when I heard about this, didn't see anyone else as much invested community wise to make the game better since.

  7. May be true in your case but I get far more Wxp by roaming alone and flipping camps/sentinels and kill every Event Veterans, It's about 30min/level to 15min depending on how many players will interrupt my flipping rotations.

I figured that killing players is a waste of time XP wise compared to farming objectives, too inconsistent, and that's why Edge of the Mist was the best option to level your Rank, but since the character Xp (people used to level their new toon there) were nerfed, and the introduction of skirmish tickets exclusive to WvW, Eotm is a dead game mode.

Kittens, I loved these Karma trains so much memories =/.

  8. To be honest most of the times I see 3cFBs or even c core guards in 100CM LFGs..

So for players that knows that Sanctuary exists, the removal of consumables is at most annoying.

Sanctuary is the hardest CC in the game since it pulses 150CC per pulsation, for a total of 750, add 2 more pulses if traited and this skill alone does 1050CC,

you just have to be carefull not to waste your CC's on phase 2 when you'r near 66% and 33%.

Tho', I don't like the clones compositions that much and of course this patch literally removed the freedom we had by not taking that much CC (or any) on our bars, and focus more on survivability/dps...

I don't know how they though it was a good idea removing consumables when 3K breakbars exists in 100CM for only 5 players.

I have no issues when I'm playing with friends, but pugging 100CM now can be a real nightmare.

I can't agree more with you.

I'm actualy G3 (didn't bother to farm more 3v3 matchs to move to p1), and actually working on the emblem of tournament victory, so I need 20 wins in these tournaments...

How can I say how frustrating it is when this is full of p3/legendary players that farm it constently, and I don't even talk about the "all welcome" teams that often give up during the tournament.

Problem is, if you win by default, it won't net you any progress toward this achievement, I participated in around 10 tournaments, (roughly 3 matchs/tournament) in the last 3 days, for only 9 matchs won, and 7 wins by default, it's either steamroll or be steamrolled at the point you can"t even get higher than 7 points.

I though ranked was already ubalanced, but Ats are even worse.

  10. I can understand your post, but you are pointing your finger toward the wrong offender here.

And think about it, a huge part of the gw2 community doesn't want to put that much effort into learning a class, spec, or any gameplay, and so, they will constently ask other players what to do.

Even if Quantify, Snowcrow, or any other guild/site didn't existed in the first place, you can be sure about the fact that all the issues your are pointing out are not solved, if not even worse, at least they have some guides and tips ; (But like any players that don't want to put any effort into learning, they will not read that much, they will just copy/paste it and go full monkey when something goes wrong).

And saying that these guides/sites are the main reasons why some contents can be toxic, is like saying the dps meter should be removed for everyone just because some people are using it wrong, spoiler alert, it's not fair.

Imagine the frustration burning hours theorycrafting and posting your results translated in guides, to help the community just to be accused of destroying a content, you can't say this is right.

Your, and everyone else real issue here is the people that don't want to use their braincells to identify when the meta is not meta anymore, wipping for 4 hours on a single boss you can be sure it's not peak performance.

At the end of the day they are doing Meta builds, higher risks if your gameplay is not good enough.

So it's basically not their fault if it fails or if some people spits on anything that's not meta.

If you want something to complain about, it's the fact that there is a real lack of Offmeta Sites for Gw2 to clear these contents safely, it's all about speedclearing or wipe/wasting time and guild dramas.

  11. I know your feeling, Heal Scourge is the most enjoyable healer to me, you literally can't die so you can place all your focus on allies, an can teleport/res your downed allies faster than anything else, downed state is barelly an issue combined with mercy rune.

Of course safety is a valuable addition to a group, but a healing scourge is all about carrying and not improving the killing time at all, so if you are playing with bad players, it will be slower, no one will die, but it will take forever, and if you are with good players, it's literally overkill.

Even the most dps focused build has some personal healing and with a good Heal Scourge they don't even need to use it, and it's a waste, a scourge brings just too much safety when you are playing with decent teammates, and the problem is, it brings nothing else to compensate.

I personaly don't care that much about the killing time but the Scourge needs some love in the support department, too much safety but absolutely nothing else.

Tho' the dedicated heal scourge is pretty enjoyable for some heavy aoe oriented bosses in the open world.
