  1. There have been quite a few threads created on the topic of recent news from ArenaNet.

I am sure you've read our [update](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/69249/update-from-arenanet "update"), but if not, please do. Then, we ask that you please feel free to use **this thread** to share your thoughts or discuss things with your fellow forum members.

As with any merging of threads, some minor continuity issues may arise. But merging is preferable to the redundancy of comments across multiple threads, and it does offer a better place for a meaningful discussion.

  2. Hey folks,

Thanks for asking about my well-being. I assure you I'm fine. I have been out of town on vacation, and not really able to interact on the forums at this time (poor connectivity, I don't do well typing on my phone  , etc.). The mod team is on duty and I'm keeping up with them from time to time, so all's well in that regard.

I will be back in the office on Monday and look forward to talking to you soon.

Edited: Because I am really, really bad at texting on an iPhone.

Agree - cello is what it seems to me. Not big enough for a bass but too big for a violin or viola.

For the record, I **love** cello music!

You're new, so I'll explain: The forums are built for conversation, feedback, **and** suggestions. There are even a few specific threads with "Suggestion" in their title. There isn't a "Suggestions" subforum because suggestions come in on all topics -- gameplay modes, professions, etc. -- and having one subforum for suggestions and one for feedback or general conversation would split things too much. Feel free to add your (reasonable, constructive) suggestions in the forum best matched to the core subject matter.

    > did you ever turned your camera... go do it now and post your shileds here

You're new, so I'll explain something else: You've started out your forum membership rather badly and this thread is wrong on a couple of levels. First, your first two posts contained three uses of "not-so-creative spelling" to try to mask a swear word; one included a word that got censored. Don't do that. I've changed the title (you're welcome) but need to also point out that you made a statement, challenged others to disprove it (while insulting them), and when they did exactly that, you stopped posting.

Maybe you'll come back to this thread, maybe you won't. But if you want to fit in here, follow the reasonable forum rules: Don't swear (cutesy or not), post constructively, and don't insult people!

  5. First, I want to apologize to @"JMaarse.7086" . The moderators were concerned about this question during hours in which I was not available, and they removed the thread out of a sense of (understandable) hesitation to leave up a possible exploit.

I just talked to a Fractals Team member and he said that actually, the process described above is perfectly acceptable. No worries here -- no exploit!

Thanks for asking. And if anyone reading this has a concern about a potential exploit, please feel free to contact Customer Support or write us at Exploits@Arena.Net. Thanks!

I can ask about this. I am not sure if it's been discussed or assessed for possible implementation, or whether there's a known reason we could not add it. But I'll try to find out.

    > I agree that it is annoying. The issue has been discussed several times. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the main reason for this limit is to help preventing gold sellers. I would have to browse the forum to find again the thread in which it was explained in details. If I recall correctly, for now, there is no easy alternative solution that can be put in place.

That is correct. With limitless mails, RMT will start spamming every account in the game. :( I understand the desire, but I also understand the reasons for the limitations. I will bring this up with the devs to see if there's a potential work-around, but so far, one (without drawbacks) has not been evident or something that was reasonable and without risk to implement.

  8. Thank you for posting that photograph, @"Darlgon.9273" ! I tried to do it, as you saw, and knowing you also had problems makes me feel a tad better. I mean, it's not as if it's some amazing piece of photographic art, but I so enjoy the snowy images and have fun sharing them from time to time. (It all comes, I imagine, from a deprived snow-less childhood and **not** living in the range of the Polar Vortex. :D )

Plant on Left: 35-year-old Rhododendron, the state flower for Washington. It has withstood the test of time... and drought, snow, wind, frost, torrential rain, and probably the wind of passing dragon wings. ;)

  9. This conversation -- such as it is -- has gone off topic many times. The mods will clean it up to remove useless memes, insults, and the other infractions that have been reported. Closed pending cleanup.

Remember that you can help keep Tyria clean by reporting inappropriate in-game chat. It takes just seconds, and it helps us in identifying problem chat and problem chatters. Posting about such an issue on the forums doesn't really achieve a useful purpose.

  10. This bug was addressed in our [build ](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/820458#Comment_820458 "build ")this afternoon. Tyria -- starter zones included -- is safe yet again.

Well, except you need to go kill stuff, complete quests, gain hearts, level up, acquire goodies, polish your skills, continue your crafting, advance your skills and traits and, you know, keep your eye on the sky for dragons. ;)

He seems to think we'll be lulled into complacency and not be prepared for his infrequent but noteworthy attacks. However, with our many team members of a variety of professions ( ~polishes dual bows~ ) we smited him yet again!

    > >

    > > I think I can answer this, if I understand the question. Objectivity is best achieved by those who don't have a pony in the race. Post deletions are not personal, are not targeted, are not determined by where you post, how much you play, what profession you choose, your spendings in the Gem Store, nor your astrological sign or shoe size. :) Post deletions are handled by team members who have professional training and experience in viewing each post with as much clarity and as little bias as humanly possible.

    > >

    > > Post deletions happen when people go OTT in what is supposed to be a reasonable place for conversation. Name calling, rampant insults, attacks on another member, conspiracy theories, threats of legal action -- anything listed in the [Forums Code of Conduct](https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/the-forums-code-of-conduct/ "Forums Code of Conduct") as a potential violation just shouldn't be posted. There's a *reason* we ask for people to be *reasonable* -- to support our community and their ability to have meaningful conversations.

I can't say that I'm 100% satisfied with it's current state but I assure you not everyone is as negative and hostile as many of those you see here. And I don't believe "passionate" is a valid excuse for people only ever posting when they're angry and not when they're happy.

    > >

    > > I appreciate that! And I agree that "passionate" is misused when it's an excuse. "I verbally abused someone because I am 'passionate'" has very little -- probably zero -- validity. We forgive a lot of borderline comments because we do appreciate that people can get a little carried away with expressing themselves, but there **is** a limit, and that's why moderation happens.

    > Interesting defence Gaile... more interestingly though, it seems that if such posts that insult, flame or troll other posters who are engaged in trying to converse their opinion on how they feel let down by ANET in regards to WvW.. .. well such posts, like the one not too far up above in this thread, don't get removed or certainly anywhere as fast as those that would be directing the same insults at ANET or others I general.

I'm no defending anything. And your comments make no sense at all. Threads and posts are moderated in the order the reports are received or the observation of an issue is made by the moderators. Nothing is predicated by the recipient or target of the insult or trolling. Please do feel free to report posts that you believe need to be reviewed and they will be reviewed and the appropriate decision made/action taken as soon as possible.
