  1. Scourge was flawed from it's conception! It was advertised as supplying the group support Necro's have been crying for that they ["Couldn't just give to us straight out because it'd be pretty hefty power creep"](

""Couldn't just give it to us straight out because it'd be prettu hefty power creep"") but Scourge has never fully realised that goal for multiple reasons; Core being a mess etc.. It's only ever 'shined' as an overpowered condition spec that caused it to be heavily nerfed.

Barrier is a hot mess, the might stacking capabilties are laughable compared GotL's 10 man, Sand Flare is a buggy joke! (No Valid Path, 900 Range) The only thing we have going for us is the rez potential but that isn't needed in a half decent group. We need some kind of interaction between Barrier and Alacrity or Quickness, I mean we're meant to sacrifice our selfish shroud and defensive capabilities for group support but currently that's a joke.

I don't care for Scourge DPS, there are plenty opportunities for a well designed Necromancer DPS spec that isn't as prone to nerfs due to the shade mechanic, just give me the meaningful support I was promised!

Still doesn't defeat my point! In any semi organized group everything Necromancer brings is pointless.. Why would my group need the res potential if no one goes down. I'm not talking about random pug adventures, any self informed player would already know Necromancer has it's uses in carrying pugs. I'm basing my points on an organized group who know what they are doing. Let's not even get in to the territory of Necro DPS and the fact that if that particular player is anywhere near the top than the other DPS are doing something highly wrong which again.. doesn't happen in an organized group.

  3. Not to sound rude but the Necromancer forum is filled with countless threads with idea's and suggestions concerning Necromancers current state in PvE, yet we've had no feedback, we don't even know if it's on your radar. OP is obviously one of the many Necro players who are desperate for some kind of Dev interaction and discussion.

  4. Here's my Human Elementalist, always wanted to look 'battle-mage' like and I have a soft spot for blues & whites.

Then of course I made an Asura Ele when HoT launched, I loved their Overload animations.

I'll defend Necromancer for this much. We have the exact same trait interaction but with our heal skill well of blood. Put it on a downed person, revive them and another well drops which also revives. We also have transfusion which ports the downed to our location and revives them a percentage.

Whilst I fully agree that yes the 'big three' being Druid, Chrono and Warrior are packed with way too much support, I don't think you can compare us to "other healers" . They have other builds they can fall back on other than their support builds, us Necro's do not! We have 0 Meta DPS builds and 0 Meta Support builds, we are stuck in limbo.

  7. I do wonder if all the players who insist Necromancer is fine in PvE have played the class since launch anywhere other than Open World zerg fest where I could play Nomads Thief if I wanted.

Necromancer is the profession with the most troubled past when we look at instanced PvE content. We've only ever been widely accepted when the player base has developed builds built around 'unintended gameplay', 'gimmicks' or even bugs. We've never been 'Meta' intentionally and if everything went as ANet planned we never would have.

Core Tyria Dungeon Days - No Necro, Kicked if you played Necro and overall was just awful.. Dagger was our only melee weapon and only hit a single target..

Heart of Thorns - Healers became a common thing with Druid.. Players discovered combination of strong heals + Jagged Horrors and so 'gimmick' #1 was born and then.. Nerfed. Back in to obscurity Necro went.

Path of Fire - Scourge releases brokenly overpowered due to the shades being bugged, its fixed and we're now at a reasonable level. Subsequent patches release with more nerfs that eventually put us below the 30k mark of the other professions but.. With the release of a certain DnT Vale Guardian video 'Epi Bouncing' becomes a widely known tactic and stacked Necromancer DPS now shoots above 40k on encounters with adds. This is clearly an unintended use of Epidemic and eventually nerfed. Here we are today.. Back in to obscurity.

After nearly six years of playing Necromancer in PvE, you see a pattern. How someone can say 'this is fine' is beyond me. This class is fundamentally flawed in PvE, organized instance PvE that is. I fully understand the way the Meta works, that someone will always be at the top and another the bottom but to be at the bottom for almost six years and only have a couple shinning moments which were never intentional is disheartening.

  8. This patch was too much for me also, so my 1000's of hours & gold Necro is shelved for the time being. Groups have zero reason to bring a Necromancer now and it sucks. I like feeling useful and that I'm actually contributing so Mesmer/Ranger it is for now.

    > I dropped my necro as a main a few patches ago and switched to Mesmer for a main. Haven't regretted it yet. I think that is their general plan, honestly.

Thinking of doing the same thing. Comes a point after so many years you get tired of always being mistreated balance wise. I'm also sick of knowing that whenever Necromancer is doing decent benchmark wise it's due to gimmicks and swiftly nerfed. Happened in HoT with Lich Form minions, happened again at PoF launch with Scourge shades bugged and now with epi bouncing.

_Mist Angels [Mist] is PvE guild on PikenSquare (EU). We offer a welcoming, cosy and warm-hearted environment for all players, both new and experienced. Our main focus is and always will be our community. We have a good time together during our adventures in Dungeons and Fractals._

    **What We Stand For**

Mist Angels focuses on fostering a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We believe a relaxed atmosphere brings out the best in our members, so no stress or anxiety. We aren't hardcore and therefore do not focus heavily on the meta or latest speed clear tactics, instead liking to have the focus be on our members enjoying themselves and having an escape from a perhaps stressful day. We value our community and so to nurture our casual and fun environment we aren’t looking for “the best” or those with “mad skills”, what we are looking for are those with the right attitude; Friendly, Enthusiastic, Social, Laid-Back & Easy-Going.

    **Who Are We**

    * Mist Angels [Mist] is a PvE social guild on PikenSquare (EU). Though, with the megaservers, we can accept members from any European server.

    * Our guild focuses on making a family-like community. We offer a warm, welcoming place for all kinds of players. We pride ourselves in being a drama-less guild where everyone is happy and free to enjoy themselves in whichever aspect of the game they like.

    * The majority of our members are PvE focused and enjoy nothing more than grouping together for some Dungeons or Fractals. Be warned, when it comes to Dungeons we do not skip mobs since we believe Elite specs added more than enough powercreep to simply clear everything which also allows for a more relaxed and chill run! Also.. LOOT!!

    * We **Do Not** focus on the meta or speed clearing every piece of content, if that is your interest, then maybe we aren't the right fit for you.

    * Mist Angels welcomes everyone, be you completely new to Guild Wars 2 or a player since launch.

    * We have our own dedicated Discord channel but you aren't forced to talk if you do not wish to.

    * The guild was created in October 2012 but went inactive in 2017, we're now back and rising from the Mists!

    * We're a small guild, we are a family and not an army!

    **Unique Ranks**

How do you know who can help out with what and who is interested in certain types of content? We restructured two of our roles just to help you out. We also now have two seperate Officer ranks dedicated to making sure every type of player gets the attention and support they deserve.

Upon joining you'll be asked which Rank best suits your interests and style of gameplay, this is to make sure that you get the correct support and our others members know what you enjoy!

    * Vanquisher: Have a keen interest in instanced content? Class yourself as a semi experienced player that can't get enough of Raids, T4 Fractals and/or Dungeons? Love grouping up to vanquish that boss and get that sweet sweet loot? Then this is the rank for you!

    * Adventurer: Are you new to game? Do you enjoy exploring new lands and taking it at your own pace? Never stepped foot in a Dungeon or Fractal but would love to learn in a relaxed and casual manner? Or do you simply just like having a friendly conversation in Guild Chat and/or Discord? Then perhaps this is the rank for you!

    **How To Join**

To join Mist Angels simply contact an officer either by whisper and/or mail, then your month trial will begin. The Trial is purely for you to get to know us and us to get to know you, it allows us to gauge your personality to make sure you're a good fit for the guild, we have to protect our familial atmosphere.
