I think he's talking about aiming the convergence point. As it is now you can swing it around 360 degrees but the spot where all the arrows converge (the most damaging spot) is always 900 range

Yeah I totally love when using Rev sword 2 while moving and my upper torso rotates a full 360 degrees while my lower torso and legs stay facing where I was running ?

  3. Thanks this has been a huge help. And yeah I should have specified PvE. I think I completely neglected to realize that swapping puts you back at 50 energy as a baseline with +25 because of Charged Mists, I was thinking that I was only getting that +25. That makes it WAY more worth it to swap haha.

  4. I know everyone wants to talk about Herald right now but I just have a quick question. I'm really enjoying Renegade with a condition damage build, but I'm finding that I remain in Kalla for 99% of the time. I know I'm probably not playing optimally, but it seems like there's more than enough to upkeep while just in Kalla stance alone. Should I be switching legends constantly to take advantage of Charged Mists? What should I be doing when in Mallyx, just keep up Embrace the Darkness? It never feels like there's a reason to switch to Mallyx, but maybe I just haven't found my groove yet

    Thanks!

Yeah that's what I was already working on for my engineer but I'm excited to have more chances to use it

    Ah okay, thanks

  6. I think if you're playing an Engie, then Holosmith is pretty much the only thing you're really gonna use for most stuff

However, not very many people play Engie, probably contributing to the lack of Holosmiths you see around.

  7. I just got my Thief to 80 yesterday and Deadeye is really really fun you guys. Daredevil is okay but I love the marking mechanic and Kneel mode. It's pretty unique compared to other classes. I'm having a lot of fun running a P/P build or a rifle sniper build

Anyway, two questions. What does Malice... actually do? Is it just used for the malicious sneak attacks? And why does my Malice gauge sometimes turn blue?

    Thanks

The Overload is just using the Attunement again. When you use the Overload, it increases the cooldown of the Attunement, so when you swap to fire and activate fresh air, the Air Attunement gets its cooldown reset. Then when you switch back to air, you have around a five-second default cooldown before you can use it's Overload, just like any other Attunement swap. However that 5 seconds is way down from around 20 seconds without Fresh Air.

    > Biggest change I would like to see on DH would be some small buffs to longbow. I think other stuff is fine atm.

I agree, for Longbow being DH's signature weapon it's really underwhelming compared to scepter/focus (I also just hate Guardian scepter in general but w/e I'll use it when damage matters). There aren't too many elite specs where their signature weapon is pretty much blanketly excluded from most of the meta at the moment, so that definitely resonates as a problem that needs fixing.

    > From a purely DPS standpoint, nothing's changed. The patch was mostly centered around core engie conditions. The changes to Elixir U does however come at a great cost. You sacrifice projectile defensive capabilities in favour of more quickness and offensive play. However, some PvE and PvP content will absolutely melt you without some form of projectile defence, so Elixir U is more of a situational skill now. Your only option is to swap it out for a lackluster photon wall if you want to keep the holosmith, use shields from weapons + toolkit (gear shield kind-of sucks after its nerf long ago), or change to Scrapper for bulwark gyro (best projectile defence option we have).

    > If all you care about is numbers, then Sword/Shield + Elixir U is all you need to care about. Easy combat:

    > 1. Open attack with sword \#3 Radiant Arc (2s quickness)

    > 2. Activate Holosmith

    > 3. \#3 Chorona Burst (might generation) + \#4 Photon Blitz (heavy dmg)

    > 4. Pop Elixir U + Toss Elixir U for ~15 seconds of effective quickness (duration depends on build setup)

    > 5. Auto attack until hot. This is core of your damage output. Just enjoy the show.

    > 6. Switch to sword and 3 + 2 + 1 auto attack

    > 7. Rinse and repeat once your heat drops to 1 bar.

What's up with the Elixir Gun utility skill? Is it just for the toolbelt regen?
