doGhetto.3824
I would like to know if Reshade is allowed to improve graphics, effects and visual colors; I also want to know if it is allowed to use the famous TacO (Tatical Overlay) which helps as a guide to find and accomplish achievements. Waiting for the answer, I thank you in advance.
BunjiKugashira.9754
ArenaNet has always refrained from endorsing specific programs, so it is highly unlikely that you will get an official statement like "TacO is allowed". We can only go by the [third party software guidelines](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/65547/policy-third-party-programs#latest) and ArenaNet's actions against specific programs in the past. The most notable being BGDM, which got banned for including gear-checks. Users were given a fair warning and enough time to uninstall the addon. Reshade and TacO are among the most popular addons for GW2, so it is reasonable to assume that ArenaNet is ok with them.
Inculpatus cedo.9234
One of ArenaNet's most visible partner, Wooden Potatoes uses reshade, so I'd say it is tolerated. TacO is found in the list of API apps in the Wiki. Though, if they ever cause you any problems, you will get no support from ArenaNet.
gert.7698
You can use it. On the official Facebook page of gw2 they sometimes promote/post video’s from users who make guides while using taco to help players. So u can use it safe because they won’t promote it if it was illegal! Prove: screenshot to a official Facebook post from gw2 ![](https://www.mupload.nl/img/cqj5y5prr8db.jpeg "")
Mutisija.5017
i know for certain that reshade is ok to use because it only changes how colors are displayed in your end, and this does not give you any kind of unfair advantage.
