Oldschool/Newschool?

So, what happened to Grenth's Outfit remake from Guild Wars 1? It looks so much better than GW2 version which resembles an assassin's creed goat with a dress.

Just look how much more imposing and bold is the GW1 version, plus it has a mantle/cape thing going on.

What do you guys think?

Both designs are from GW1: the GW2 Grenth's Regalia outfit is based on the [Avatar of Grenth skill](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Avatar_of_Grenth). The same is true of the other human god outfits (although no Melandru for some reason).

Yes, but only the avatar made it into GW2. I hope for the first Grenth's Regalia to make it too.

Fair enough. I thought from the title you were asserting that the GW1 version is "oldschool" and the GW2 one is "newschool", when in fact the GW2 design is slightly older, and neither is especially new.

 

Personally I prefer the Avatar version, and find the other one less interesting since it looks more like a standard grim reaper.

Avatar is indeed more detailed, i like that, but the other one tho... the mantle/cape thing... just hits me in the right spot so to say. I personally think capes look great on a warrior, and GW2 kind of lacks in that aspect.
