Blackscreen without any warning; constantly crash while playing Stronghold of the faithful

Recommended Posts

Got this problem since I bough my new PC one year ago. Graphics Card Driver is up to date. Repaired the TMP at least two times. Can play every other and latest game without any problems. Black screens won't show any log though. This log appears every time I enter the Stronghold.

I talked with a friend about the amdvlk64.dll. He found some proposed solutions, but not for Guild Wars specific. It seems old versions of this file are still present in the system. In my case it's the same thing: https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-5426b0-1591203219.png.html

So, some people suggest to delete the whole Driver and reinstall via DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Your opinion?

I know its an old thread but i got also black screens recently while i'm playing and amd knows this issue, waiting for a fix!!

From latest amd drivers,known issues.

Some users may still experience black screen or system hang issues during extended periods of gameplay. AMD will continue to monitor and investigate reports of these issues closely.
