Bug - Missing Items in API

I do a call to get a character with https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/characters/Stàßy?access_token=

 

Edited down to the relevant parts, I get these three pieces back in equipment.

If I do a call https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/items?ids=80836,80689,80756

to get back the item info an these three pieces, I get the following.

I don't think its really a bug, but i am pretty sure that the list of items is incomplete. I am building a tool who does similar requests and since i started i see that "new" items are added to the list on a daily base. Sometimes they are really new, but they add a lot of old items. I store these items locally (to avoid too many api requests) and i have currently 59239 items.

The lower numbered items (id) are old items (afaik).

Btw, i recently noticed my tool has the same problems. I was able to track down the location of these kind of items (like where in bank, which bag + slot, etc). So far all my missing items are armor (which i bought from karma/wvw merchants) and stuff that i got from doing guild missions (like consumables for crafting stations). So i can see those items in my bags or bank, but the API does not recognize the id's of those items (anymore). Funny enough, even wiki does not recognize those items (anymore) :s

 

I assume Anet made sure that these items can not be obtained anymore, but these old items still can exist in the game. Not sure why Anet removed some of these obsolete items from the API as well (there are plenty of other obsolete items which are still in the API).
