Strike missions, how do I enter them?

Where is the door for strike missions, can commander teleport me into the place to start? or do I have to manually find the door? if so where is it? It seems I'm unable to find a reliable tutorial for this,

In Eye of the North, there are some Strike Mission portals. Just walk up to the portal, and choose the Mission you wish to join.

There are also some portals in the corresponding Icebrood Saga maps. Again, walk up to portal to interact.

In Eye of the North there is a portal for all strikes. On icebrood saga maps there are portals for corresponding strikes only.

You can join a public strike or with a squad. No one really plays public strikes so you will need a squad.

Easiest way is to get to the Eye Of The North, join a squad over lfg and get into strike. If anyone from squad enters a strike you will get a pop up and you will be able to join immediately. If for some reason you dont get a pop up and the rest of the squad is already in a strike mission you can always enter through portal (the squad option).
