Servers Stuck Marked as Full When More Active Servers Reopen More Frequently

Fort Aspenwood and Blackgate have been listed as full for an extremely long time. Blackgate I can maybe see having a legitimate active WvW playerbase, but my home server, Fort Aspenwood, is frequently carried by the link servers. Many densely populated and highly active servers (like WSR) in EU have reopened more frequently than these two NA servers this year. At this point it seems like a bug, and if it is an automated process that is responsible for marking a server as full or heavy pop etc., it should be investigated.

BG is well known to be one of the highest populated WvW servers , I don’t see this changing anytime soon. ANET has even publicly stated that BG is overstacked and has a much larger WvW active player base than other servers on NA. They acknowledge that BG is one of the reasons balancing server links is so difficult.

 

 

The updated populations are refreshed on Monday - check back every week if the server you want is free.

 

You cannot compare a T1 NA (Blackgate) server with a link server (WSR) in such a crude manner. Look at the WvW stats in terms of transfers in/out and points gained per hour for a better idea what is going on.

Ok sure, and I even said that Blackgate prob makes sense, but FA? Idk man, just seems kinda weird. EU folk say Gandara and Desolation have the same issue.

 

What were would you see the data on transfers in/out?
