Shower thought on Necro mobility

Was thinking, what would make necro really scary. You know those nightmares where there is a monster chasing you and you can't run properly no matter how hard you tried and the monster would always get you.

 

Close the distance and don't let them escape. That is the idea at least, so it could be something along the lines of:

"while in shroud, cripple the nearest enemy within 500 range. If no enemy in range, gain swiftness"

 

What are your thoughts on my shower thought? Should it have stayed in the shower?

Unfortunately, the reaper does not have the proper tools to represent that chasing horror that slows its enemies down to get at them better.

What necro needs is some kind of passive/active ability like the OP suggests.

An AOE-field around the necro+ a long range ability, maybe a more properly programmed gs5.

 

Or more movement like I want to have for both core+reaper (Leap, dash, jump, teleport) without horrendous cooldowns.

The problem with the reaper "class flavor" idea is that it doesn't really make sense in a multiplayer game. If this were Skyrim, it would be awesome. Slow, menacing, unstoppable monster in constant pursuit. In an MMO with action combat, it just can't succeed in any way they'd want it to.
