Notjes.7182
Thanks to the power creep (I appreciate) all classes can cleave the shit out of everything in seconds. We know pets don't evade, block, flee the cancer fields, have very little hps. This means pets die in seconds without being focused or **even targeted**. If its dead, it takes 48-60 seconds to get your pet back. In pvp this means a ranger loses half his class after each fight. Also it means in the next fights he has no pets and has diminished chances contributing something to the next fight. To cover this problem, anet already introduced soulbeasts insta revive pet mechanic on mergeing. But this still leaves core rangers and druids with dead pets after each fight and 1 minute of waiting for pets. So to make up for this significant downsides, anet should increase pet survivability by making it immune/resistant to AEs (maybe pet-skill-line new skill: "Elusive elusiveness") or get rid of the cooldowns all together when pets change, even dead ones (engi kit mechanic). Change pets as often as you like. Traits triggered by pet change still have 15-20 sec cooldowns.

Malafaia.8903
In the middle of teamfights or even 1v1'ning a Scourge if you take your eyes away from pet healthbar for a sec, they're dead, it's really sad :( Maybe some kind of damage reduction from condis? Notjes.7182
In rangers time of existance since 2012 everybody could just ignore pets, because they did nothing of usefullness (no dmg, broken AI, broken pathfinding, too slow to keep up with a walking target). But there was just one brief moment in history in which people had to actually look at pets: The golden age of "Bugged Juvenile Rock Gazelle". You had to keep an eye on it or it could do damage!!1 oh noes! FIX ANEEETZ! Since this patch the pet is worthless again (aka fixed), we are back to ignoring pets again. Even rangers ignore their own pets, because they are dead all the time... :( So anet, be gracious at least with this and remove pet changing cooldowns. TY. The class I hate to fight against. Sometimes it takes 2-3 players to kill a Scourge lol. And yes, they can melt our pets like butter and still focus on you :(
