Its different because none of the previous ones required you to finish the whole episode or be locked behind masteries. The new episode is and its unfair to the player who just solely WvW.

those reward tracks are designed to bring pve loot to the wvw, without doing pve stuff. so, doing pve to unlock them is against the design.

at least the ls teacks should be unlocked by just obtaining the episode, becaus if you do the story to unlock the track, you get the most loot contained in the track... and spending a bit more time in pve you get the meta achievement (including unique loot) too.
