Actually... Bursting works better now, because all the burning of dhuumfire is applied when smashing buttons

And yet, Desert Shroud now does less burst, on top of Feast of Corruption being a shell of what it was before. On top of that, the elite Punishment skill is weaker now as well. So sure, you can spam all your buttons at once for a few extra burns, but at the same time, you'll have much less torment as well.

But burns hit a lot harder.

So it's equal-ish to pre patch.

 

The power DMG loss on desert shroud is a bit odd btw. Why/when did that happen? (Running full cele in wvw)

When I read this I have a feeling that some players are really disconnected from reality... Especially the "now you'll have to think instead of mash button" players... It would be good that they understand that such thing haven't been addressed in this patch, if anything, it's even more a thing than before since before you would have had an offensive loss by simulatenously mash button.

 

Now power spec are equally all about mashing button on cool down, but "Hey! We hate condi! Power is player skill!". The reality is that power or condi, your skills have to connect to your foe. Power or condi if you are blocked, dodge or even out of LoS, you'll do no damage at all. It take the exact same amount of skill to do damage with power or condi. The only difference is the way you deal with these damage after they are done and that's where lie the issue, the issue is that it take more player skill to get rid of conditions than it take player skill to simply recover one's health. Power damage will always do more instant damage and conditions will always take time to deal their full damage and it's not like there isn't a few way to prevent condition damage from doing their full damages.

 

The patch reduced a bit the ramp up of the necromancer but didn't touch at all the ramp up due to boon corruptions or when you send back conditions. Players after this patch will still die to conditions in seconds, players will still be loaded with the whole array of conditions instantly. Nothing changed.
