Unable to recover misplaced "Open Skies" runestones?

Hi,

 

So, stupidly, I only just now learned that for the griffon mount, I needed all the runestones I had collected and destroyed there and then thinking it was all junk like the Doric collection.

 

Those OS collections are already registered as complete, and the Elon Riverlands mastery point NPC at the NW corner did not give me another stone. I won't be able to see if events and legendaries would re-drop them for a few days, so I thought I may as well ask: Am I kittened?

UPDATE: Just did legendary Corrupted Facet; no luck. Looks like once you throw them away, you're fucked.

You do not need them. Once collected you can safely delete them and still complete the quest. All you really need to do is complete the collection itself.

Thanks for the reply, that's a massive relief. I semi-freaked out looking at Dulfy's guide that read:

 

**Open Skies: Sunspear Wisdom**

[...] return to the NPC and **begin placing down all the eggs and runes** by interacting with the placeable icons.

 

but I could only see interractable cogs pop up for the eggs I had, as my runes were all in the dumpster. Thanks to you and anyone who may have read this and tried to help.

Thanks for bringing this up. Looks like I'm in the clear after all, haha. Time to grind that money and continue my griffon progress.
