Returning Player questions

Hello,

 

I just purchased both expansions to the game and seeing as i haven't played since 2013 i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. As such i have a few questions.

 

1. Is there any must use website for learning about the current state of the game?

2. Is there any website that serves as a compendium of all things necromancer?

3. Any up-to-date necromancer guides?

4. Best builds for WvW and PvE content?

5. If i dont care about lore should i do PoF before HoT?

6. Are necromancers viable ?

1 not really, youtube would be the closest thing

4 metabattle and forums for wvw/pvp. Qt and snowcrow for pve

5 Up to you, but personally; I'd say yes coz mounts make traveling hot maps alot easier

6 depends what build you play and who you play with

Use the wiki linked at the top of this forum. Also use dulfy.net and en.gw2skills.net.

 

New expansion specializations were recently released, then re-balanced. I do not know of a new guide.

 

All professions are viable. Some have builds that are better for certain tasks and there are endless discussions about the topic.
