Why do meta builds tend recommend sigil of geomancy over bursting?

I would think that using Malice and Bursting would ultimately yield higher condition damage. Anyone have any numbers to backup the difference before I go dump a bunch of gold into testing out sigil changes?

Cause the sigil doesn't do what you expect it to do. It only modifies base condition damage. Example:

Bleeding= 22+0 .06*(Base condi dmg+ might condi dmg +banner condi dmg).

Sigil of bursting is a 6% increase to the base condi dmg (gear and food). So it's an increase on a fraction of a fraction of what determines condition damage. Sigil of geo is 6 stacks aoe bleed if you have 100% bleed duration. It's better.
