When we do so, the skimmer will shoot towards the surface rapidly and surface us. I have spacebar bound for up, and action cam lets me go anywhere else easily, but ymmv. (I also agree with you, though. I just saw a skimmer... er, I mean manta ray, leap out of the water in a David Attenborough nature special! It was awesome.
