Phantasmal defender proc interrupts pls :)

I saw the post where it got explained that the phantasm has to cast the taunt, so the taunt duration cannot be extended.

 

I was wondering if it would be possible to have the interrupts from the taunt proc traits/sigils?

 

I really want to try to use this phantasm, but a 1-second taunt on a 50-second cooldown just feels underwhelming

I doubt the engine is capable of having an attack sourced from a different entity proc sigils that you are wearing unfortunately.

I think critical hits from phantasms can proc on-crit cases, but I might be wrong

Unless they changed it with the rework, absolutely not.

Yeah, went back and recorded some tests and couldn't find a case where phantasm proc'd on crit.

 

So my request probably is too hard to implement.

 

Still this phantasm feels a little underwhelming, so any tweak would be nice. Maybe even a couple of seconds of aegis for the mesmer when the defender is created.

The phantasm is definitely underhelming, to say the least. I would rather see it reworked than have a jumbled mess of a fix to make its interrupt proc our sigils though (if its even possible. Since it can't inherit our condi duration I seriously doubt the former is possible either)
