Idea: character select shows unique background per area

Had an idea while looking at the character selection screen just now. Each character portrait shows a little thumbnail of the region your character was last in. This is pretty cool, and feels like it could be expanded upon.

 

What if the character selection screen changed its background and effects to appear similarly, transforming between the different regions as you cycled between characters? It doesn't really serve any particular purpose beyond flavor, but I think it could add a neat touch to the game.

 

Though maybe I'm just nostalgic for the old, fully-rendered selection screen from Guild Wars: Prophecies (and Factions and Nightfall).

 

So what do you think? Would you like to see the background of the character selection screen change based on their current region?
