display name change?

I played the game at launch for a few months and then quit. I just recently had to get my password reset via ticket because I couldn't find my game serial code. I can now log into my account but my display name is..."Ring Name.xxxx"? WTH is that? Not 100% what my display name was before but I know it wasn't that. I think it was Ballzz or EQBallzz as that was the game name I mostly used. Is there any way to change the display name? I don't necessarily want to change it back to what it was but "Ring Name" doesn't have a very good ring to it. See what I did there? ;)

It's possible that your name was changed because it wasn't acceptable, and since it's your display name, you couldn't be trusted to have picked something correct the first time, so they changed it for you. You could submit a ticket to ask what happened, but that is most likely that did occur.
