stuck at update download screen

Hi, since yesterday's update (march 13), I cant log in since the update won't finish.

It says there is 1 file left to download, at the download speed drops to 0 kb/s than stops completely.

even if I restart the launcher it downloads 54 MB of this last file than again drops to 0 kb/s and gets stuck. (play button is greyed out).

Hopefully not to Reinstall the game :-)

Many have luck with using a VPN, just for that last file.

I have the same problem !!!!! We cannot use a VPN, please help, my poor Aurene is starving!!!!

First, locate and delete your local.dat file which can be found in your Documents > Guild Wars 2 folder.

Next,reboot your computer and launch Guild Wars 2 again. After seeing the “1 file remaining” message, a secondary protocol should kick in to download the missing file from the backup system. This process usually takes about 10 minutes.

If after 15 minutes or so you find that the above process has not resolved the issue – that is, you’re still stuck at a 99% download – please try this work-around: **_Change the language setting for the launcher (in the top right corner of your screen) to a different language_**. At that time, the download should complete. Once that occurs, change the launcher back to your original language and log in to play.

 

 

TRY THE LANGUAGE CHANGE FIRST !!!! it worked for me
