No Option to Block Message Sender = Unwanted harrassment

Today I awoke to a hateful message in my characters inbox having been sent 9 hours ago.... Confronting me and making accusations for something I literally have no memory of nor would have ever been in a position to have done said thing. (Some salty PvPer and I don't PvP ???? So I'm??? Gonna assume they are a troll.) I tried to reply to question them and resolve the conflict but they had blocked me. I cannot see their account name. I cannot block them. They can simply just unblock me whenever they see fit and resume spamming me with hate. I have zero confidence in the report feature on the messages but I sent one anyway.

 

Anet, you really need to give us the option to block message senders, because if this is going to be a thing I have to deal with, I cannot play your game. I have severe PTSD and Anxiety and receiving unwarranted hatemail like this gives me panic attacks that have long, severe repercussions for me that take a long time to recover from. If I can't feel safe on your game, I can't play it. I do not feel safe. So what are you going to do about it?

If you are referring to in-game mail, such mail always includes a name. Character names are unique, so you can block said name (and thus, the account).

And, of course, you can report the mail, and ArenaNet will investigate.

Take a screen of the mail in question, file a ticket through the support page here. After you get the response, attach the offending screenshot.

I haven't looked at your post history, but one thing that's happened to me was having a particularly salty PvP player harass me in game for comments I made here on the forums.

Might not have been anything in game you did that set your little troglodyte off.
