Why doppelganger no longer hesitate in selecting players to copy?

As I remember, before the release of the Living World Season 4 episode 2, when the event began, the doppelganger will take several times going in and going back until it chooses a random player. But right now it will immediately emerge after it locks on the first random player. What happened? Why Arena change it? There is much less satisfaction in this event now.

I had the impression that it was a bug that made it consistently go back, but I'm not sure. Map chat got pretty intense over that though.

Nope, it just immediately copy the first player it chose to follow.

IDK if its a bug before, but imo it surely decreased the joy of constant randomness in this event.

And also I should've mentioned that it won' t go back even once for now.
